  1. We have about 4k members who paid.

About 1100 of those were purchased less than a year ago.

It looks like Renewals was left off or subsequently turned off.  So I think that was done because it assumed it would auto renew and charge people.   Not sure what happened exactly.

Everyone is still in the Member user group.

Will activating Renew and setting parameters in there trigger something to revert them to the previous group?

It will generate invoices, not auto charge them...

    Anything I am not asking?

    Thanks

    Jamie

  2. So turn off all featured products on each product... and it goes away....

So I still can't make a block of products from a Product Group?

So give up on categories, and mash all the stupid products into one damn category, and link to that rather than the default store, so the store at least looks something like a store when you click on it.... back to square one.

Does this mod perform the updates all at once, a multiple redirect, or does it use background tasks? Ideally, you should contact the author and ask if they can change the process - CiC has a hard limit on the number of requests per minute, as well as a hard timeout on the length of a request.

Ideally, anything that performs a mass-update should use the background task system to avoid issues such as blocked requests or timeouts.

I don't know how it was made.

I was wondering if it could just be slowed down, which is why I was wondering what the  threshold is.

I'll further break down the list into smaller chunks and wait it out for now.

    Thanks
    Jamie

  4. I am looking for a plug in that lets me mass update a Profile Field with a CSV.

    Pairs of :  email, value

The value will be unique codes, something like: 678KjHDf

Do you foresee any problems with this? Are there unintended consequences or risks I am not considering?

    Our community is on CIC.

We are looking to pay someone to build this, and happy to make it available to anyone that could use it however that works.

    Thanks
    JM

CiC does not include direct database access. Your best bet would be to have some sort of plugin created or to leverage the REST API to script the work.

I think a plug in would be best too.

I thought there was a way to get DB access in CIC. It's not obvious, but thought it was there.   Perhaps they (understandably) don't want to make it easy.

  6. We need to get over 3000 unique codes, one to each user in a specific user group.   They will be in a CSV or spreadsheet

We could put this in a field, or send a PM.

    Our site is in CIC.

What suggestions would you have for doing this?

Direct DB access?  Get a plug in made?

Manual is out, even with ten of us because the codes need to go up with timing to online sales.

    Thanks
    JM

Labels would come from your shipper. Im not sure what you mean by the issues you are having. Perhaps screenshotting this may help?

So the label is kicked back by the carrier.

In Canada Posts case they send back a PNG.   You can't simply, at least as far as I can tell, right click and print it.

    Then print it.
    Reorient it to Landscape
    It prints on two pages....

  8. I have shipped about 4500 items since October.  Both sales and membership items.   In April that number will go up by ten times over the summer.

Stripe does not get item details for a product.  You will know they bought a Hoodie, but not the size.

Is a CSV export of sales out of Commerce possible?

Or is it possible to get the product details into Stripe?  Even it just mashed the size into one field.  Hoodie - L, for example

I suppose you could do it with a different product for each size, but that would be pretty messy and ugly.

Any other ideas to make dealing with high volume in Commerce more productive?

    Thanks

    JM

  9. If we were selling tickets through our site, at only 1 per member, what ideas do you have for grouping those people.

Tickets will be distributed via Ticketmaster, so we can export the data and sort in an excel sheet.

The question is what is the best way to get that field populated that we sort on?

Let them decide and it is up to them to enter correctly in a text field?

    Any other ideas?
