I think this could be useful to seasoned admins as well as newbies, as it may show a feature despite running a forum for years, you may not know about.
Is this something you can toggle on even if you are upgrading to 4.5, or is this only triggered for new installations?

Might be a good idea to send an email with the link if they click away as well.  Or have options like, "No thanks (I already know what to do)" to not get an email and "Maybe later (email me a link)" to get an email, but both options redirecting to the normal ACP page.

The video is very impressive.  This is something that should benefit a great number of communities, as images can sometimes be the one thing that gets a persons attention to something that they would have otherwise looked past, and are grateful that they didn't.

I already know of a couple of enhancements that might be beneficial.  Being able to customize the priority of the different types of notifications, both on a "global" level and then on a group level.
Certain notifications may be considered top priority to the site owner, and thus should always be top of the list, but then have certain admin groups that have access to the same content, but need to have different priorities.
ex, Security exploit fix notice from IPS appearing at the very top, but for a group that handles user related items, new users should appear first for them, while someone in a group that focuses on support tickets should see anything 'critical' in that area first (below the global priority notices).
Is this something that might be added after the initial release of this new feature?

With all due respect, the highest courts in Europe can only decide for Europe. Also, anyone who truly understands networking knows that an IP address isn't personal information, regardless of the opinion of a court.

Could there be an option to define the name to attribute to on that page directly? So we could input for example "Member 3312" (where 3312 would be their memberId). This will keep the discussion still somewhat reader friendly, so it would still be possible to differentiate different accounts as having written in the discussion, for readers reading old content. 
Alternatively let the Anonymize attribution do a md5 hash on the (memberId+some community specific value that is unlikely to be changed) and grab the first 8 letters or something. 

The bug tracker is currently 'closed' and is only open when there is a new beta (or even new features?) being introduced, from what I've been able to figure out.

I think you misunderstood what he said.  He was saying you can't do it, UNLIKE with event cover images and profile images.

That is not true, as there can be size recommendations.  Banner ads over the years follow standards in regards to size based on the intended placement.  They range from small boxes (for almost anywhere) to large/wide banners (sides or top/bottom of pages).  So if there can be standard sizes for ads, there can be size recommendations for club banners.
 
Try to keep in mind that some of your members may be using a screen width that is smaller than what you use.  I recommend looking up standard sizes for advertising banners and picking one that you feel will suit your needs.  Then set that as the recommended size for your site.  You wouldn't have to make it a rule that images must be that size, just no bigger than that size (though if you do that, you might want to set a minimum size requirement).  You also might want to make sure the image remains the same size regardless of the size of the visitors screen, with the image being set to be centered, so even if the image is smaller than the max size, it won't look out of place.

Clubs are like sub-communities, with their own content and resources, and can be managed by regular members without requiring administrator involvement (and thus, no need to use the AdminCP).  Let's say you run a site about video games and someone wants to be in charge of a particular game (or gaming series).  Instead of you making an individual forum, blog, gallery, and downloads area, as well as granting them moderation privileges for those areas, the user can make a club.  From a visitor perspective, jumping around the site to get from one area to another for the related content (say from forum to gallery), it requires a few clicks, or special links that, again, require ACP access to control.  Using a club to control it, it's all right there.  It also allows the user to control who is in the club, etc, without having to bug admins to make changes.

There is a benefit to having a separate license for testing things, that being that you can use your primary license to test out stuff before adding it to your live site, while using the other license to have a 'live' and 'test' installs for testing out other things that you may not want to introduce to your main community, or that you may want to test with different settings, etc.  Of course, if you ever open a second community, you'll already have the license and be locked in at the current renewal price for your suite.

I think what you are wanting is for the club owner (or club admis) to be able to, within reason, drag and drop content boxes to their own liking, with control over background, coloring, etc.
 
It wouldn't surprise me if a future update allows the selecting of an included skin/theme to be chosen, that wouldn't necessarily be shown on the rest of the community.  Also, wouldn't surprise me if customizable club pages were to become a thing as well, though I image it would be limited on what can be included and where it can be used.  (For example, main content blocks may be limited to the main area, where as summary blocks, ie, latest topics, list of members, etc, are limited to a sidebar.)
 
I think the best bet for people will be third party vendors, who provide plugins/etc that provide the desired functionality, though I would recommend keeping it simple, instead of becoming dependent on functions that may not continue to be updated.

You're right in that multiple forums are possible.  The way it's done, multiple categories wouldn't make sense.  It's just one simple menu.  I think IPS took a simple but very smart approach to it.
