    I've re-opened this topic. Please read the message above the topic, thanks.

    The upgrade from Invision Community 4.7.1 to 4.7.2 will warn you of PHP 8 incompatible applications and disable them, but you can re-enable them from the AdminCP if you wish to take the risk.

    I believe that was exactly what users wanted. I understand that you warned in a topic, but this alert was missing right at the moment of the user updating the system, visible there just in time for him to read and be aware. Great job!

    To reinforce the message you want to get across to clients, something like this could be done (just a suggestion)

    Could contain: Text, Business Card, Paper

  2. What I see here, that clients are outraged by the company's lack of transparency in relation to aggressive blocking of their apps/plugins, they should have had a warning before proceeding with the update, that's what everyone is commenting on.

    Many users are dependent on third-party apps to make their community what it is today, and that has become a big issue now.

    Honestly, after all these reports, I'm zero excited to update my community now, I'll wait for all this puera to subside.

    Good luck to the team in having to deal with this whole complaint, something that could have been avoided.

    Unfortunately due to PHP 8+ changes it has to be this way. If you update and you have something that isn't compatible with the codebase, you will have a completely unusable site.

    Another question is... if self-hosted is still running PHP7.4, will it still run into this blocking?

    As mentioned in the message there, you need to contact the author of those items to correct the issue with the applications in question. This has been done in order to prevent your site from crashing entirely and being inoperable.

    Isn't that too aggressive? The question is, is this a sure thing that doesn't work or maybe it works but the system is ignoring this possibility?

    Because it would force administrators to look for an update that may not even be necessary yet if everything works normally.

  5. Hello,

    Many users end up reporting things in imprecise, where moderators have to guess what it is specifically about. There could be an option where administrators could create pre-definitions of reports, as if it were a department.

    Example...

    Twitter
    Could contain: Text, Flyer, Brochure, Poster, Advertisement, Paper, Menu

    Youtube

    Could contain: Text, Menu

    Untested in Pages...

    {{if $formValue}}
    <div class="ipsGrid ipsGrid_collapsePhone ipsType_center">
    {{$test = 0;}}
    {{foreach $value as $file}}
    	<img data-src="{file='$file' extension='cms_Records'}" loading="lazy" class="ipsImage ImgMargem" alt="{$record->_title} by {$record->customFieldDisplayByKey('artista_manga', 'raw')}"><br>
            {{$test++;}}
            {{if $test % 5 == 0}}
           <YOUR AD STUFF>
           {{endif}}
    {{endforeach}}
    </div>
    {{endif}}

    INCREDIBLE!! Worked perfectly.

    Could contain: Text, Page, File

  7. Hello,

    I have a comic book reader, I want to make every 'x' amount of images display an ad.

    These are the field settings:

    Quote

    Could contain: Text, File, Webpage

    Could contain: File, Menu, Text, Webpage

    Could contain: Text, File, Webpage

    Code:

    {{if $formValue}}
    <div class="ipsGrid ipsGrid_collapsePhone ipsType_center">
    {{foreach $value as $file}}
    	<img data-src="{file='$file' extension='cms_Records'}" loading="lazy" class="ipsImage ImgMargem" alt="{$record->_title} by {$record->customFieldDisplayByKey('artista_manga', 'raw')}"><br>
    {{endforeach}}
    </div>
    {{endif}}

    Result:

    Quote

    Could contain: Text, Page, Number, Symbol

    Could contain: Oars, Text

    Let's say I uploaded 30 images. I want to make the ad appear every '5' images.

    ------

    I could do something like this, but this is not the correct way, as the ad is repeated for each image.

    Screenshot_333.thumb.png.ac12d9befccf8f1da995ba66dc6a787c.png

    Could contain: Text, Page, Label, Number, Symbol

    What needs to be done?

    As I showed in the last image, may not even need a plugin, just a code that prevents repeated and set a value. (I can pay for that information too).

    If a plugin is really needed, it just needs to have the following functions.

    Could contain: Monitor, Display, Screen, Electronics, LCD Screen

    Send me a private message if interested.
