  1. The formats for the urls can be edited for each application that supports FURL under application folder/extensions/furlTemplates.php It may not be able to achieve everything yet, but it's a start - you could, for instance, get rid of the forum title in the URL or move topics/forums out of "subfolders" if you wanted.
  2. For the record I still talk to Dean on AIM. He still does some mods now and then I believe.
  3. Yes, please post the errors you faced in the bug tracker. :) I tested 5.1.0 yesterday and found one bug, which I fixed, but I didn't run a new installation (just tested a setup I already had).
  4. http://forums.invisionpower.com/user/1094-rikki/ It's his girlfriend/fiancee/something. ;) Charles said nothing about Nexus. He said we'd be using the site to demo CCS in due time.
  5. There's a lot of developer documentation on the resource site, and a few "tips" articles, but since I'm not much of a skinner I wasn't able to put much up regarding skinning. ;) I think Rikki is going to be working towards documentation/gdk/etc. next week. This week, as I'm sure you can understand, has been pretty busy.
  6. There's a help icon at the top right of the editor.
  7. For the record, I do not. :P It's just a long standing joke is all. When I was originally hired a lot of people who knew me in the modding community thought it was good that IPS hired me (and said so), so anytime someone says positive comments about me, I get picked on. Then again, I get picked on for plenty of other things too, so I guess I'd rather get picked on for being praised than the loudness of my keyboard, for instance.
  8. While I do thank you for the positive words, you know after pointing me out specifically, coupled with this topic from a couple days ago, I'm going to hear about this nonstop now right? lol. Nevertheless, thanks. :)
  9. I guess I should take that back. I'm likely *always* a little unbearable.
  10. .htaccess maps an INCOMING url to a script. You need to edit some files in IPB to change how IPB actually generates the url.
  11. For the record, we introduced the "enhanced" profile before vb redesigned their profile screen. :) With the latest visitors and comments and all that jazz. Just saying. ;) To be fair, I'll say I like what vb has done with their calendar in the mockups that I saw. It looked pretty nice. And I don't interpret their changes as copying us. As Rikki and Matt already pointed out, there's only so much you can do before the forum just doesn't feel right anymore.
  12. It's irrelevant. Point is, we've had the software independently audited and will continue to do so. We take security very seriously, and while staff here is obviously very familiar with "best practices", we do everything we can to ensure your data is as secure as possible. I think it's best to leave the "business model" decisions to the people that run the company personally. :) Additionally, I'm really not sure what's up with all the speculation. We WILL release 3.0.1 at some point. It may or may not be next week. When we release it, it will be a painless update, especially if you are using appropriate apis to hook into IPB instead of modifying the software. I'd venture to say any skins released now will be fully compatible with little-to-no changes. You will not be forced to upgrade, but for those waiting for bug fixes, we're not going to leave them waiting for long.
  13. While I love seeing customers "stick up for us", let's keep it nice and professional please.
  14. Well, you can rate members and wasn't sure if you meant in the member list. Hence why I asked for clarification.
  15. We do not have a definite release date for 3.0.1. If a major issue is discovered tomorrow it could be much sooner than a week. So far there haven't been any really major issues reported, so it could be longer than a week. Matt stated that we plan to push out frequent patches for a little while to address bugs that weren't caught during beta and RC testing, but there's no exact timeframe for each patch at this point.
  16. Where? For topic listing in the forum view?
  17. Charles believes I have an ego. I do not, however.
  18. Thank you for the positive comments. And contrary to what Charles suggested, I will not be unbearable for days.
  19. We have a bug tracker category for actual bugs on the website as well. I'd tend to guess more people find bugs than have actual "feedback" about the site that isn't bug-related.
  20. Yes, if you can't submit rep in IE7 that's a bug. I'd submit it to the bug tracker.
  21. You guys remember there's a reputation feature in IPB3 that allows you to do a +1 built in right...?

If you require support please submit a ticket in your client area.
  23. Just because we released 3.0.0 doesn't mean every bug out there is resolved. We'll of course work towards 3.0.1 (and forward, as necessary). :) This has been the plan all along. No.
  24. For the record, it would simply be a link (or two) in the dropdown that did the same thing it does now. I wouldn't bring back the dhtml popup. It doesn't reduce server load really (it has to do the same exact work, just through a different interface) and it's more maintenance. But adding a link (near "My Gallery" and "My Blog" as we have here) wouldn't hurt if you ask me.
  25. For the record I have nothing against adding a My Posts or My Topics link to the user dropdown at the top of the page. That is, assuming it's wanted by enough people.
