I offered to write up the template changes necessary to get it (more or less) looking like 2.3, but was effectively told by members here that if it wouldn't be included in the main release it was a waste of time.

Guys, the resource areas being restricted to customers with active licenses has been discussed to death over and over already. If you have issues with the way it is setup, submit a ticket to management. Let's try to keep this discussion on-topic: that is, discuss "what happened to the search system" which has nothing to do with who can or can't access the resource site.

To my knowledge must other BB scripts work the same way when using MySQL fulltext searching (which nearly all do)... It's how mysql processes the search. A plus sign + indicates the word must be included, a minus sign - indicates the word should not be included, and double quotes around the term mean "exact search". Even google searches work this way.

Of course that could happen if the developer doesn't pay attention, but generally we're able to pick up on those sorts of things. We would typically only mark a bug report as a duplicate if we're sure it's a duplicate.

Yes, if you wrap your text in double quotes it should search for that exact phrase.

We added tons of settings for members in the ACP for 3.x that you could not control in 2.x and *knew* that people would find the ones that we didn't yet add. I don't really recall you being able to control those settings for a member when editing them in the ACP in 2.x, but nevertheless, we will continue to add more of the missing options in the future.

As you'll note from Matt's reply, the memory limit is a red herring. There can be many causes of problems, and simply stating something like "we're having issues, it should be fixed" may not help us deduce the source of the problem. That's why I recommended submitting a ticket. There could be a bug somewhere, an incorrect server setting, a missing task that does important things, a corrupted file - who knows.

Well, CCS is it's own product. It's not going to facilitate anything with third party scripts. The concept would be that you would use CCS in place of those.

Those are custom fields. They're not from or inserted by IPB (something else inserted them). Just remove them from the ACP as iBotPeaches said.

I think the majority of the males that work here (if not all) are already spoken for. ;) It would be irrelevant to me personally if she worked here. Unless she could take subscription manager and blog so we didn't have to work on them. >.<

Edit the order by clause of the SQL statement in the hook file (under hooks/ folder). Use the peer to peer forums if you need help doing so.
