  1. You'd have to do it as a custom mod. Please remember that the majority of our customers use shared hosting and relying on a server-side spell checker just isn't easily feasible for the majority. Safari and Firefox support this natively, and IE supports it through a very popular browser addon (ieSpell), which IPB can recognize and also support. I don't think we're likely to add a server-side option for it. I've seen mods that do this for IPB2, and it's possible someone will write a mod for IPB3 to do the same.
  2. You'll need to use the peer to peer forums for assistance modifying the software.
  3. Just report the member. There's no need to make individual data points on the profile reportable imo. That's a LOT of overhead when you can already report the member and just note in the report "look at their status".
  4. I think it would be cool if a hook could be assigned to more than one access point as well (at least a template hook)
  5. As a note, there's a "Mark board as read" link at the bottom of every page that will mark the entire board as read.
  6. Thank you for the positive feedback. :)
  7. Because for the browsers that do, it adds some polish. For the browsers that don't, they won't look any different whether the css attributes are used or not.
  8. Yes, setting to 0 for the group now disables it for the group.

    rep bump?

    Should be sorted now.
  11. If you guys start going over 20 we can revisit it.
  12. Working on the other groups, but should be fixed (to 20) for Active customers group.
  13. We're focusing on 3.0.1 at the moment, but you'll hear more about it soon.
  14. There's not going to be a setting for this. If we had a setting to control the placement of everything in IPB, you'd need an entirely separate ACP just to handle the settings. You'll need to edit the skin to move it. It was put at the top due to customer demand.
  15. Some unicode symbols trigger browsers to display text as RTL. No big deal. As for the discussion at hand, the top button serves no useful purpose at all. Not even a little. It lets you get to the top of the screen, that's it. Except there's about 10 different methods of accomplishing this, with or without a mouse button or keyboard, built into your operating system and browser already. It's clutter that serves no purpose, which we've avoided with 3.0 in an effort to streamline the user interface and make it easier for novices. Some users, when they see 15000 buttons on a row, tend to just ignore them all (guilty!). Now, you only have icons relevant to the data point (e.g. for posts, icons related to that post, of which "the top button" does not qualify). Meh, this has been debated to death. Suffice it to say, Rikki has had no intentions of bringing it back, and I don't blame him. ;)
  16. Oh, I understand and I'm not saying we don't want to do it. I'm just saying we'd need to do it *right* and it's hard to push something like that into a minor point release.
  17. We would like to add back some of those features in a future version. We experienced too many bugs with the editor we tried using at first, however, and had to remove it. Less "features" but more stable.
  18. We have no intentions of adding it back in by default I'm afraid.
  19. We sincerely appreciate all the hard work our volunteer teams put in. We also sincerely appreciate you taking the time out to thank them for this hard work. :)
  20. Will take a look in the next update, but show_modules is a little more challenging to have it "look" right. You'd probably want to section them off by application, which would mean the application would have to be in the options list (the apis to create the dropdowns can't do optgroups for example).
  21. ;)
  22. We don't store a history of your status changes as is presently. We'd have to do that before we could really add the other things you're talking about.
  23. For the referrers and reviewing everything a member viewed and so forth, it's just too much data if you ask me. While it would be neat, on larger boards it would be a resource hog I'm sure.
  24. Can edit the skin to do that.
  25. By the way, since some of you missed it, I was kidding when I last posted about wanting to make sure you were really sure. ;) Yeah, just a joke.
