  1. File Name: Converter - Download Manager 2.0 by bfarber File Submitter: bfarber File Submitted: 10 Jul 2006 File Category: IDM 1.0 Modifications If you were previously running my old Download Manager for IPB 2.0, this script will convert you to use IDM without losing your data. It converts all of the data as best as possible, however there are some important notes to read in the Known Issues section below. To use this script, first install IDM like normal. You must keep your old download manager 2.0 tables in the database, and keep the files on your server (in any folder you like). Then, upload convert.php to your idm_setup/ folder, and visit it in your browser. Next, go into the ACP, and update the settings to point to the proper paths for the files (also update any other settings here you like). Next, upload filesizes.php to your idm_setup/ folder and visit it in your browser. (as a note, you can do this part anytime you wish to rebuild filesizes). Finally, go into the ACP and go to the Tools section. Rebuild category latest file information, and rebuild category cache. I HIGHLY recommend you reconfigure each category, including it's permissions after this is done. Congratulations, you should now be converted. Please issue any questions in the support topic. 2. File Name: Global Suspicious File Checker File Submitter: bfarber File Submitted: 11 Jul 2006 File Category: IPB 2.1.x Tools This tool should be uploaded to your public_html directory and visited in your browser. It will list all files on your server and weight them in relation to IPB depending upon how suspicious they are. A bold filename means that it's been modified in the past 7 days. An orange filename means that it's over 100k in size (and most of the trojans are) A red filename means it's likely to be a known trojan's filename or it was created by userid 99 (nobody). Now, it is VERY important that you not just delete any files without knowing what you are doing. Check any suspected files out first...see if they really are bad scripts or not. Skin files can be cached as a different user than the web or ftp user at times, as it runs via php. Sometimes you apply patches and a file was recently modified. Just be sure what you are doing before deleting files you may need. Make a backup first. This tool includes some helpful filters at the top. You can show all files, or you can filter by "larger than 100k", "user 'nobody'", or "modified within past 7 days". This, like any other tool, is only as good as the operator makes it. 3. File Name: Antivirus/Trojan Checker File Submitter: bfarber File Submitted: 11 Jul 2006 File Category: IPB 2.1.x Tools This tool is to be uploaded to your root IPB directory, and then visited in your browser. It will scan all your IPB writeable directories looking for suspicious files. Suspicious files are listed at the top of the output. It is then up to you to determine if they should be deleted or not - be sure not to delete files from modifications you have installed. Click here to download this file
  4. File Name: Shell: IPB File Checker File Submitter: bfarber File Submitted: 11 Jul 2006 File Category: IPB 2.1.x Tools This tool must be run from your shell (i.e. SSH) - it is not designed to be run via a web browser. Upload this file to a directory php can execute, and then via SSH (or Telnet/Command Prompt/etc.) cd to the directory and type in: php shell_global_check.php > filename.txt The script will check for any non-IPB files and report them in the filename.txt file you specify (you can change this filename and/or specify a path to have it generated in a different location). Be careful though - if you upload any non-IPB files (i.e. modifications) they will be reported here as well. Again, be sure what you are deleting before removing anything. 5. We were in the middle of uploading a file at that exact moment. If you refresh the error would have been gone (because the file would have finished uploading). We need to do maintenance and other things on the site from time to time. This frequently involves uploading new files. :)
  6. File Name: Converter - ntd1712's Download System File Submitter: bfarber File Submitted: 12 Jul 2006 File Category: IDM 1.0 Modifications Please note that you cannot have any categories or files already in IDM, because of how important it is for the script to match up ids for both (the id's are converted exactly, and can cause SQL errors if they already exist in IDM) (this goes for all my converters) You should have a fresh/clean install of IDM, and your ntd1712 download tables still in your database. Upload this file to your idm_setup folder, and then visit it in your browser. Afterwards, run the "Update all category latest info" tool in the Tools part of IDM, and run the "Update all caches" tool in the same page. And be sure to reconfigure the settings, and the settings for each category...especially permissions. This converter carries over everything except for ds_requests, ds_search, ds_reports which are irrelevant in IDM. Additionally, there is some confusion about the ratings, but if a rating is above 5 IDM just rounds it down to 5 so it will work properly. Click here to download this file
  7. File Name: IPS Beyond-style tabs on Index File Submitter: bfarber File Submitted: 31 Jul 2006 File Category: IDM 1.0 Modifications This instruction set will show you how you can add the IDM tabs to your root forum categories just like we have done here on IPS Beyond. Warning: This is not a simple cut and paste modification. 1) You must already have your forums configured 2) You must already have your IDM categories configured 3) The modification is designed to look at an IDM category with subcategories (NOT files) 4) You must follow the instructions in the file to change the hardcoded root forum cats to match the IDM cats 5) This mod ONLY works with the IPS Beyond skin (tabs and CSS - some html hardcoded) All in all, please be sure what you are doing before installing this modification. If you know what you are doing, you will get the tabs like how we have here. Click here to download this file
  8. File Name: IPS Beyond skin - IDM Customizations File Submitter: bfarber File Submitted: 01 Aug 2006 File Category: IDM 1.0 Modifications This is a copy of the original IPS Beyond skin with the IDM modifications to the skin file. Upload the images set and specify a directory under the Skin Import/Export section in the Look and Feel tab. Make sure you upload the images under the images block. Then upload the skin in the skin section and specify a name. Lastly, go to the Skin Manager section, edit the Beyond skin, and assign the newly created images directory to the Beyond skin. Note: This skin does NOT work properly if you set your board "IN_DEV". You shouldn't be doing that on a live site anyways, so be forewarned. Please report glitches/bugs/oddities/requests to the linked support topic. Includes Gallery, Blog, and IDM templates. Click here to download this file
  9. Uh, you are quite wrong actually. We ONLY work out of the bug tracker when fixing issues for IPB. If you mean the bug tracker for the website itself, that's a different story that I won't get started on. Yes, it was from something changed today that should now be fixed.
  10. File Name: Portal System 2.3.3 File Submitter: bfarber File Submitted: 19 Aug 2006 File Category: Components The modification you have been waiting to upgrade to IPB 2.1 for.... Finally, after many months of waiting (and harrasment), I'm releasing the first version of my portal system that works with IPB 2.1.x. Check the demo link to see it in action (many features are members only). The layout feature has been enhanced to use AJAX, and the installer has been updated to use XML files for the settings, templates and component data. I will enhance the installer slightly with the next release so that you can rebuild your data at any time without having to rerun the database queries. Installer supports a remover, and you should be able to 'upgrade' from the old version (noting that all shoutbox data, navigation entries, and custom blocks will be deleted when you do so). To install - upload all files, and visit psinstall.php in your browser, click the first link. This should work fine even if you had my old version still somewhat installed in the database. To upgrade - upload all files, and visit psintsall.php in your browser, click the second link. That is all! FIXES 1) Fixed issue with online list showing 'Viewing Board Index' 2) Fixed calendar events and birthdays not being listed on the portal 3) Fixed bad link at end of uninstall routine 4) Fixed layout manager to not allow you to delete default blocks 5) Fixed bbcode not parsing in custom blocks when set to parse bbcode 6) The portal layout setting group is now not hidden - if problems arise, you can "revert" the layout settings Click here to download this file
  11. File Name: Portal System Plugin: Last 5 Members File Submitter: bfarber File Submitted: 21 Aug 2006 File Category: XML Imports, Tasks, and Plugins Presents a 'Last 5 Registered Members' block on your portal system. Upload to your /cfg/portal_plugins/ folder, enable the plugin in the ACP, and confirm the position of the plugin block on the layout screen. That's all! Click here to download this file
  12. File Name: Portal System Plugin: SWF Clock File Submitter: bfarber File Submitted: 21 Aug 2006 File Category: XML Imports, Tasks, and Plugins Presents a flash clock plugin block on your portal system. Upload to your /cfg/portal_plugins/ folder, enable the plugin in the ACP, and confirm the position on the layout screen of the plugin block. That's all! Click here to download this file
  13. File Name: Portal System Plugin: Skin Chooser File Submitter: bfarber File Submitted: 21 Aug 2006 File Category: XML Imports, Tasks, and Plugins Presents a skin chooser block on your portal system. Upload to your /cfg/portal_plugins/ folder, enable in the ACP under Plugins, and confirm the position on the layout screen. That's it! Click here to download this file
  14. File Name: Portal System Plugin: About-Us Mini-CMS page File Submitter: bfarber File Submitted: 21 Aug 2006 File Category: XML Imports, Tasks, and Plugins This plugin is slightly more sophisticated than most, and is the start of the mini-CMS capabilities in the bfarber Portal system. Open the /cfg/portal_plugins/about_us_template.html page included and configure the about us html page - use whatever HTML you wish to use. Then upload the folder to your /cfg/portal_plugins/ folder. In the ACP, enable the plugin. It does not matter where this plugin is positioned on the layout screen. Finally, add a new navigation entry pointing to index.php?autocom=portal&about=1 When a user clicks the link, the about us html page displays in the center column in place of the news. You can create replicas of this, and I fully authorize any plugin developers to use this plugin as a base for more sophisticated mini-CMS pages. Enjoy! Click here to download this file
  15. File Name: Portal System Plugin: Calendar File Submitter: bfarber File Submitted: 21 Aug 2006 File Category: XML Imports, Tasks, and Plugins Presents a js calendar plugin block (not integrated with IPB calendar) on your portal system. Upload to your /cfg/portal_plugins/ folder, enable the plugin in the ACP, and confirm the position of the plugin block on the layout screen. That's all! Click here to download this file
  16. File Name: IDM Stats on IPB Board Index File Submitter: bfarber File Submitted: 21 Aug 2006 File Category: IDM 1.0 Modifications This modification will add to your board index the following line: We have a total of <b><#files#></b> files in our Download Manager, with a logged total of <b><#downloads#></b> downloads with the proper values. You must have IDM installed for this to work. Click here to download this file

File Name: Stop author views from incrementing view count File Submitter: bfarber File Submitted: 26 Aug 2006 File Category: IDM 1.0 Modifications This modification will stop a file submitter's views of a file from incrementing the file total view count. One file modified, easy install Install time < 5 minutes Click here to download this file
  18. File Name: Task: Remove Shadow Topics File Submitter: bfarber File Submitted: 23 Oct 2006 File Category: XML Imports, Tasks, and Plugins This task will remove those 'Moved-to' links after they have been there for 30 days or longer. I used this so I could move topics from a site feedback forum to their appropriate place and put those 'Your topic has been moved' redirects in place, but I did not want to keep them indefinitely. This task will remove them automatically after 30 days. Click here to download this file
  19. File Name: Change Member ID File Submitter: bfarber File Submitted: 27 Oct 2006 File Category: Components This component allows you to change a member's ID #. It updates all appropriate IPB tables. Additionally, it supports all official IPB components (Blog, Gallery, and IDM). Finally, it also supports my Links System, and Ineo. I made it for IPS Beyond here, and decided to share. In ACP, Admin tab, click Manage components, and in the upload field at the bottom of the page, browe for the included components.xml file and import it. Upload the memberid.php file to your sources/components_acp/ folder. Afterwards, you'll have a new menu under the Components tab where you can change a member's ID from. // Bug fix 11/6/2006 --If you have topic markers in the DB from the new id still (i.e. you are changing a member id to an id that previously existed), an SQL error could occur due to the unique key setup of the topic_markers table. Fixed. Click here to download this file
  20. File Name: API: Login File Submitter: bfarber File Submitted: 07 Nov 2006 File Category: Integration Modules This is an api file (sources/api/) that will allow you to extend login functionality to other parts of your site. A test.php file is provided so you can review how to use the login module, and see the data it returns. The api provides you with the option to set cookies (which will only work if you are allowing login from the same folder as IPB, OR have setup your "cookie domain" in the ACP to be global across your entire domain), and the option to create an IPB session (so that when your user visits IPB, they will be automatically logged in). I intend to add log out, and "auto-login" (cookie-based login checks) functionality in the future. First release only supports direct form submitted logins. Click here to download this file

  22. File Name: Portal System 3.0.2 File Submitter: bfarber File Submitted: 12 Nov 2006 File Category: Components First release of Portal System for IPB 2.2. Now uses Michael's Mod Installer. Please consider this an "RC" release until a few people have tested the installation and have confirmed it's working properly.
