  1. Hi, i am thinking on buying Stratagem. I have some questions, as for the screenshots i can't still understand how exactly the app works: What is exactly the relationship with the clubs app? Can a project be created inside a club and appear as new tab in it? Or it is the other way around, i.e., you can create a club inside of a project? Are there plans for an integration with MS Teams? I know it supports slack, but Teams is now the king in the field... Can the sockets be implemented in my own server, or it is a remote service only? Regards
  2. Hi everyone, i am setting up a new community with 4.5.3. For some reason, the default theme is not assigning a ipsNavBar_active class to the active <li> element of menu. Being so, i cannot style it accordingly because it is not known what is the menu item that is active. This happens also with the default theme. While i notice that in IPS site it works ok, other communities that i have (have not yet upgraded to 4.5.3) are working good. Do you have the same problem?

    Praise to IPS

I am onboard with IPS for long, and here is my positive feedback on the current state of the nation: - I love the strategy of moving from Pure forum to communities, with a tightly integrantes set of apps. This was a crucial move that allowed IPS to escape from the fierce competitivo on a shrinking market. As everybody knows, fóruns are disappearing, yet people are still getting together. This is why i prefer IPS package Over XF ir VB because there is a whole set of tightly packed tools to get my people collaborating. - I love the new theme. "Oh it's too white" "oh só much white space"... For me it is definitely a great step forward. Is ir perfect? No, but it was definitely a major step forward! - Integrations! We are not alone in the cyberspace, and there are many great apps and services out there. Integration with Zapier will be a major leap um interoperability and would allow IPS users to extract more value of their communities. I am looking forward to see IPS on Zapier, it os just taking too long. - Support. Has been great. Thanks! There is also less positive aspects, most related to pricing, business and evolution of the compromise with customers through time, but now it is not the time to talk about that.

I do not know how you can be so sure... i am always a man full of doubts, i am always amazed when someone makes such bold assertions. I can't agree with you here, sorry. When i look at XF, it is only good at classic forum software. But classic forums are "no more" and they are dying. IPS has followed a different strategy, and imho, a right strategy, of putting a set of tighly coupled apps for community management. The other company that has been following that approach (but they have always taken that direction is Wolt Lab with corporate customers, still, they are lagging behind IPS in aplication effectiveness, comprehension and looks. To me, there is nothing appealing at XF, only if i wanted to have a gaming forum i would consider them.

That is true for the cloud version, but not to the on premise version.

Totally agree. You buy an APP, you retain the right to use it, regardless of having an active IPS licence.
  8. Thank you a lot!! My eyes had automatically igrnored that green API key box... I thought i needed to click:
  9. Btw: how hard is to get approval from Pixabay? I've applied for it yesterday, still no answer from them.
  10. I would start by overriding the CSS custom properties at the custom.css (ex: divide their value by 4)
  11. Good point. I agree, it can, but this is not an undeniable statement... so they used "can" to express possibility. Sey have reviewed their stance on it. It really depends on each case, and that has also to be balanced with aesthethics, text clearness, element organization and placement. And if you have a big screen, too much content can be really overwhelming. Still, you can always customize the theme to reduce the spacing if you want.
  12. Of course everyone is allowed. Opinions are the source of a good discussion, specially when they oppose each other. You don't like the white spacing as it is, it is a perfectly reasonable opinion. I like it and i think this theme is a nice improvement over the previous one - also a perfecly reasonable opinion. Now, i wouldn't like the white spacing to be reversed or shrunk. First, because i my opinion is exactly opposite (fair enough, i guess 😄 ), and second, because there is not any objective data to support the opinion that shrinking the white space would improve the interaction. Yes, but Google also frowns on content being too close to each other in mobile, for example. There is always a compromise that needs to be achieved...
  13. I see too much criticism here for the theme and the white space. UX is always a matter of discussion, and everyone has its personal tastes. Now try to put personal tastes aside, because everyone has his own ones. Do you have any UX test metrics other than "i don't like it" to present to support your views? My opinion is, this new theme is great improvement over the previous one. Is it perfect? No, specially mobile-wise topic page navigation (you have to completely scroll down or up to move to next page, which is not user friendly, for example - surely this can be measured) but regarding the white space, i like it. It helps the text to "breath", and allow better reading. It doesn't bother me at all. My personal taste here, as valuable as anyone's. This is not a challenge of "how much content can be put in the screen". Simplicity is beautiful. Crowded interfaces confuse users. Thumbs up for the overall improvements that the IPS has put in the 4.5 theme. I could not use the 4.x theme directly without customizations, but 4.5 theme is good enough for it.
  14. This is a prevalent issue since 4.0 was launched. IPS needs to fix this.
  15. I believe that a more descriptive title would help the community of the board. If everyone does the same we will have "ugh" "yay" "wow" titles which help no other people which may have the same problems.
  16. I believe it says nothing at all. It is just messing up with the css variables. From browser-side it is everything fine, so i would dismiss that report.
  17. Well, a "not ideal" workaround is to do it through an SQL update statement if you have let's say, a big number of categories. Otherwise just open dozens of new tabs and mechanically repeat the mouse moving and clicking motion! I had weird Page category behaviour issues when 4.0 was released. At the time i've worked with the support to solve these issues, and i believe in 4.1 they have been completely solved. I have not updated my communities since. I am starting a new community soon with pages, so i will be doing heavy templating work, i am curious to see if there is still any bug.
  18. Hi, two questions: Is this compatible with 4.5? Is it possible to show only members with photo?
  19. This is a great plugin. I am starting a new community and i am thinking on buying it. My question is: most of the times people just paste a link to an image, would it be possible to do like this pseudocode (i believe it's better than explaining in words): if (attachment && type(attachment) = image) ogImageTag = attachment; else foreach (post) { if regex(imageURL in post) { ogImageTag = imageURL; break; } }
  20. Will the white label One support all IPS apps? Some years ago IPS had an app but didn't support IP content (IP Pages now) and that was a major Turn down for me...
  21. Great, i like the way this app is being developed. Congrats Adriano.
