    Ah ok!
The change is only on the "Overview" view of the event.... page
I was expecting a widget redesign to go from this:
    to this:

But no, you still have to go to the event application to see the changes in "preview" mode with a little button for "online mode" to add the url of the event but without direct integration (e.g. number of participants on a facebook event, etc...), finally, I was already doing it by adding the link of the event in the description of it...
Well, I'm sorry I'm going to complain again, it was sold to us very well, it's my fault I should have tried the beta, but frankly for me nothing to engage my users because the widget is always the same list without soul ...

    Helllo,

When will the widgets be redesigned to make them presentable and attractive on the other pages of the forum?

    Hello,
I've been b***hing about cloud exclusivity for the last few months.
But now I have to admit that I have a hard thing, it's exactly what we needed to make the link with social networks and give a new lease of life to the community calendar which was once a pillar of community engagement, I couldn't have imagined better.
Respect and thank you, I would be proud to renew my license in December.

Don't take me, unless you want to start to observe intensive reduction of interest in your products 😄 In my 20 years programming career I spent maybe 1 year supporting people - my patience resources reached the limit then and got locked at the stage 😄

I must have a bug on my interface, can you refund me all the overpayments since the last 10 years?
Now to be serious, your comments on self-housing are becoming annoying and your justifications ridiculous.
Even after the outcry about the lack of communication following your price increase, you don't even control the price of your product ($80 per year, $40 every six months), forgetting that this one is rarely bought alone .
And that's not counting ipb's commission on each application purchase/renewal.
    Sincerely,
    Kims

I think that the example of discourse is really a very bad example, I just installed it and without being a professional, but rather an "average webmaster" and the ease was almost disconcerting thanks to the docker which already integrates all the configuration, it is just necessary to download in command line this one, to modify the file of configuration, to deploy it, to redirect the ports and all is made
The power of the server is also in my opinion a false excuse, here is the configuration of ours :

We have several sites running in production:
    - A 15 year old Ipboard forum
    - A 10 year old mediawiki.
    - A handmade exchange site
    - A dolibbar for accounting management.
    - An interactive map
    - A new version of the interactive map in development
    - 2 Redis docker
    - 2 Docker elastica
    - A KF2 game server
    - Three docker (api, angular) for the management of the map
    And recently
    - A Discourse docker
    - A new mediawiki (with soon another docker redis & elastica).
Everything is running very well at 15% of max resource consumption.
So I don't think a new docker will bring down our server, but a $500 a month plan to get the latest ipb features will melt my wallet.

I don't want to get into the main argument here, but I will call you out on this. The docs that you linked there are mostly general instructions for setting up a new self hosted server, not specific to Discourse. The only discourse-specific steps are:
Other than the initial bootstrap script being a CLI tool where you answer a few questions, rather than a browser-based form, this looks almost identical to the IPS setup process to me.

AWS, or any pay by usage services is not the smartest of choices for individual sites. It's fantastic if you need scalability but not when you're managing a few sites. I'll leave their analytics below so you can gauge for yourself what my "needs" are.
My monthly costs is exactly $69. That includes the server machine (OVH) and a cPanel license. One of these sites is a marketplace with thousands of files and thousands of daily active users. My machine's average load is 5% CPU and 40% memory. So to put it in perspective, even if you have a busy site, you don't need anything fancy. My page speeds are incredibly fast thanks to caching and MySQL optimizations. No RDS, ALB, LMNOP, etc.
So in the nicest way possible, I think he's spending that much because he has an overly complicated setup with diminishing returns. Though to be fair he could just have a disgusting amount of traffic and dynamic content to handle.
Full disclaimer, I don't know how these stats stack up to yours, or Randy's but I know for me personally switching to cloud is just not an option. I'd be paying quite literally 1,000% more. Not to mention you'd be at the mercy of IPS to keep your services online.

Now just add real time views and typing to self hosting and I'll sign a NCA (Non-crying agreement) for an entire year.

You can't really believe that. Complaining is what got us Zapier for self hosting and the return of 6 month renewals instead of 12 months, and a dismissible "upgrade to cloud button" just to name a few within the past couple months. 🙂

Indeed, it is only possible to assign a badge for a product/subscription group.
Being able to assign a badge directly to a product or subscription would be a big plus, for example, we are an association organizing a convention every year with the purchase of a participation ticket via nexus and game financing, being able to assign a badge automatically to thank our members would be a big time saver 🙂
