$549/m to get your humor/meme topic on the top of the sidebar, yay!
On a more serious note, these ranking signals are rather...basic. There is much more that can be done with modern technologies - weighting of different kind of reactions, analyzing the length and structure of a reply and so much more. Right now this sounds as dumb as it gets, The topics with most replies usually get most reactions and most views, these are not three distinctive metrics, they are so closely tied together that for most communities the popular and trending topics list will be virtually the same.
Also, topics are kinda lame content container anyway, but thats entirely different discussion.
Seriously, turn on the classic legacy most popular topics widget together with the new shiny trending one and let us see the difference and content offered by both in practice. I am rather skeptical there will be any meaningful difference, but my mind can be changed.

The writing has been on the wall for quite a while, so nothing surprising here. IPS could have definitely handled this more gracefully, but it is what it is. What I find disappointing are two main things:
    - The cloud pricing is extremely crude, based only on online users, which in itself is poorly defined metric. Can we block bad bots in the cloud? can we reduce the crawling rate for the good bots? Why no more flexible options instead of one monthly peak bumping your pricing for the entire month? Ability to stop the community instead of going automatically on a higher plan? Why not being able to remove apps to lower pricing instead of getting full package even for users who do not need it? And so on...
    - The performance of IPS community here is definitely nothing to write home about. My self hosted community feels snappier, even if I am using heavier theme, more apps and I am not super optimized and speed obsessed either. As an advertising for improved cloud performance, this community here does not do very good job. Right now it sounds like "Pay more to get less".
Maybe IPS and @Jordan Invision can initiate a broader discussion regarding the cloud, so we do not hijack the Zapier thread.

No, our Enterprise plans are only cloud-based. We do offer some custom services outside of Enterprise plans (SSO, conversions, etc.) but those would not be considered part of our Enterprise offering.

Might be slight off-topic, but what is the difference between Cloud and Enterprise customers? Is it possible to be an Enterprise customer and still be self hosted and not in the cloud?

@Matt, do you have any deadline for the applications? Also, can you clarify what is meant by "part-time", is it strictly 4h per day or it can be 2h today, 10h tomorrow, etc? Vacation days, perks, etc. would also be appreciated to not waste both our and your time.

The most underrated feature ever! And its not even that complex.
But it seems that the users are living in the FB/iWorld, where you cannot decide which content is most interesting, some ultra-mega-giga-ai-big-data-algorithm does it for you in a totally lame way. Users would rather get useless feed served for them on a plate then spending 5 min to customize a good one. Sad.

Even with a zip from an old version, you can’t perform a fresh install, even using -TESTINSTALL. Unless they changed it; I couldn’t do it last time I checked in 4.2.something.

Looks tidy enough, I might consider dropping the 3rd party theme and use the default one ( @Ehren, don't read this 🙂
I do have a question though. Is it only that Quote and reactions are visible below the content and all others are in the dropdown menu? Do we have a control over that? It is an area actively used by 3rd party developers and some key buttons are now located next to the quote. Preferably it would be best if we can choose which of these to be hidden.

We’ve moved our default links, but there’s no reason why plugins can’t continue to add links to the bar as before 😊

Looks good for newbies, not very practical for seasoned community owners. What is exciting though is that the frequency of these updates is increasing, so 4.5 shouldn't be that far out 🙂
