Curious if the there is a warm up or hart beat after the stream decay has happened.
Say if the member is in a 'decayed' state and they aren't getting regular emails send them a reminder encourage them to reengage with the site?

By the way: Any specific reason Commerce products were left out from the system? I use them to let members support all my sites and giving members a badge for that would be more useful than ANY of the existing badges. And even without such a specific use it would make sense to give awards for store purchases.

Probably because Badges have a dedicated “Storage Location”. They are handled separately.

opentype got a reaction from Meddysong in Proud to Present: An interview with Invision Community President Charles Warner
That’s a rather misleading claim at best. Just because some people manage to get something like a certain version of a certain Adobe app (for example) running on a certain Linux distribution with Wine + third-party scripts and command-line actions, doesn’t mean that this matches in any way what millions of users can rely on with a permanent official support for an app on Windows or Mac OS. And funnily enough, we could have the same discussion about community software. My oldest site once ran with phpBB and MediaWiki, both free and open source. But I still deliberately chose to “upgrade” to a proprietary subscription-based product called Invision Community, because a product being “free, open source and almost as good paid competitors” isn’t necessarily my main concern. I knew what I did when I chose IPS and I know what I did when I chose my desktop operating system. It’s fine that you are happy with Linux, but just because we don’t share your passion doesn’t mean that we are too “set in our ways” or just don’t know enough about Linux. But that’s exactly the picture you are trying to paint here. And I find it somewhat annoying (since you assert false things about our knowledge and motivations) and it might even be counter-productive, when it’s this kind of “preaching” with questionable claims (such as “everything can be installed on Linux”.).

opentype reacted to LiquidFractal in No-code automation with Zapier
Yeah, I was very enthusiastic about this until I read that self-hosted clients like myself were left twisting in the wind on this. 😞
I, too, am concerned about a possible paradigm shift that would leave self-hosted clients more and more out in the cold. Not that I distrust the cloud (for the most part), but I lease a VPS and I love having a VPS; I can run Invision, I can create test/developmental sites, I have root access and can experiment with other apps and platforms for resource management and other things. I wouldn't have it any other way...and, to be quite honest (and no offense), with all of this taken into consideration it's currently cheaper than your services.
Now, I've been with Invision for 10+ years (since 2009) and there's a reason why I'm still here - I love the crew and the platform and have built my business (as well as my academic research) on it. And while I have no plans to go anywhere, and I also remember Lindy saying somewhere that Invision has no plans to alter their availability to self-hosted customers, things like this do make me antsy. At a time when I'm still building and soliciting clients, the thought of having to pack up and find somewhere else (even far into the future) almost makes me nauseous (you don't even wanna know the trials and tribulations I went through to finally arrive at a good VPS provider!!).
I understand that things evolve and change, but something as big as this in terms of trigger/action functionality for an Invision CMS? Well, I don't get how you could simply leave us out and do truly hope that the "beta" release means at some point there will be some integration. (NOTE: I can search the adminCP on my self-hosted install for "Zapier" and get one hit for [System] Community Enhancements, and when I follow that link there's nothing 🙃). I'll be opinionated here and say that through my experience I believe that there are some things that simply shouldn't be left to third-party developers. This is one of them. So although I despise catchphrases and dogwhistle words with every fibre of my being, I'd love some "inclusivity" here. There...look what you made me do! 😉

... which is funny because all I hear (from CiC people when I have to support them) is that their hosting is painfully slow and very limited.

Happy to report, it works. On one of my sites I rarely sell any VIP memberships. It can takes months to sell a single one. I turned on free trials this morning and got the first person signing up almost instantly. Within a few hours more the person moved over to a full paid membership.

I like the new way. Prominent options should be the ones we want as admin, e.g. creating new posts. Editing posts can count as a “secondary” option.

I gave you several reasons. You just don’t like the result so you declare them to not exist or not to count. So who is “disingenuous”?

So I guess with one developer account I can add this to multiple sites, right?
What happens if the developer account is not paid anymore? Will the login method stop working?

opentype got a reaction from sobrenome in 4.5: Sign in with Apple
It’s a developer feature originally made for app logins and anyone creating apps for Apple platforms needs a developer account anyway. So for most (i.e. app developers), it doesn’t even make a difference. They don’t need to pay anything extra. I doubt Apple even cares about sales in regards to that feature. They created a developer feature and naturally added it to their developer program.
