I agree.  The casual hobbyist and enthusiast admin are highly limited with what's out of the box and there continues to be an expectations gap of what IPS markets Pages to be and what we can actually accomplish.

@HeadStand - Could we have it so the sidebar widget auto-refreshes to please?
Also - is there any way you can add the ability to add a reply direct in the feed when a topic is replied to as opposed to just when it is created? That would help if you wanted to chip in on the conversation without leaving the stream.
    Many Thanks

A new version has been uploaded to the Marketplace. Changes include:
Support for Pages - Database records and record comments are now logged to the stream. Users can comment on records directly from the Stream. Widget can now be filtered by one or more action types Widget can now be filtered by members you are following Widget now includes group colors for member names Widget did not display if there was no activity. Fixed. (Now shows a "there is no recent activity" message) The following action types now allow for exclusion of specific nodes: New Topics, New Blog Entries, New Images, New Events, New Files @GrooveOnBeat I was unable to reproduce the last issue you posted (the hover issue in the sidebar). Please install the latest version and let me know if the problem persists.

Both of these are excellent suggestions and should be relatively easy to implement. I will try to get it done this week, but no guarantees (I have absolutely no control over my own schedule at the moment).

@HeadStand can provide her official answers but based upon my understanding and use:
    1. Right now, you can choose types of content (eg. Gallery images, Gallery posts, Blog posts, Blog comments) but you can't choose from what categories inside each content type.  She might be including categories and further filtering in future releases.
    2. Right now, its only one widget that gets filtered the same way as per your settings in the ACP.  Theres no filter setting per widget although that's a great suggestion

Ip.Pages is honestly one of the better purchases you can make with IPS.  If you'd like a full blown website built around your forum community,  Pages is not bad.  It could be better admittedly for non-technical admins but once you start using it you'll recognize its intrinsic power.

    Hi @Kevin Carwile,
I just downloaded and installed the IPS Rules Lite and actually see the functionality behind IPS Rules.  Some immediate feedback:
    1) You have, hands-down, the cleanest and most educational introduction of any mod I've ever seen from the IPS Marketplace.  The fact that you offer "Learn About Rules" directly within the mod makes it so much easier to understand and get started (and you even have a fancy custom background!!).  This is the kind of thoughtful and detailed awesomeness that I like to see from a full-featured mod.
    2) When it comes to your educational introduction, I'd like to suggest you break it into 3 separate tabs or sections.  The first section talks about the basicscomponents of Event / Conditions / Actions.  The second section talks about groups and sets.  The last section talks about advanced topics like custom actions, custom data fields, debugging, and scheduled actions.  Otherwise it's a lot to digest.  (By the way, I still don't understand Rule Sets whatsoever ... it sounds like the movie Inception of dreams within dreams and OMG Leonardo di Caprio needs to save meh!)
    3) When it comes to the the basic ECA, I encourage you to walk through two very simple examples so people can see the coding in action.
    4) I think you should preload 2 or 3 very simple or basic rules so users can immediately mimic or start to see how it works.

When editing action types, the default title was blank. Fixed. When disabling the side menu, JavaScript was broken on the page. Fixed.
