A possible additional function that could be added?
If I add a link to a live stream via the site Events page (e.g. to YouTube) then that "Open Event" link should also be included in any local calendar entry on people's local calendars (if they've subscribed to the site calendar in question).
i.e. So they can click on the link in their personal calendars to be taken to the live stream location directly.
    Just an idea.

I've given this some considerable though over the past few months and as long as Invision keep self-hosting an option I have no complaints. It's already a great piece of software and wanting to encourage (not force) people to move to the more profitable cloud offering is understandable.

Nice to see Invision still innovating and offering new features.
I don't mind that it's "cloud-only", as long as they still keep basic updates for self-hosted I'm happy with that.
I imagine (and I could be wrong) that this is increasingly aimed at more corporate/professional clients. The people who make money and spend money, which Invision needs.
In the end many of these are "bells and whistles" – nice to haves but won't transform (or save) your community; only content and mindshare will do that, not these, so let the cloud folk have them.

All I need to know is:
Is this optional (can it be turned off)?
I ask because IPS made the "new members" badge non-optional.
    Cheers.

Looks great, as long as any "red badge" notifications in AdminCP as a result are dismissable.

The only thing I ask is that this is not enabled by default (i.e. automatically active after the upgrade). Please set it to "off" by default and those who need it can be told how to switch it on.
This should have been done for various editing notifications in the 4.5 upgrade for example. Instead I had to go hunting to find out how to switch off things I never wanted on in the first place (and had set the previous incarnation to "off" before IPS switched them "on" again without permission).
I understand you wanting to demonstrate your coding, but these actions are not useful and sometimes even detrimental.
    Thanks!
