  1. What criteria can I use? I don't see an option to select users that have been marked as spammers.
  2. I agree. This choice should also pop up when accepting account deletion request (as mentioned in another feedback topic).
  3. 2 questions that come to my mind: If you just limit the amount of characters a user is allowed to post, what is someone posts 1-2 characters per line and thus creates a huge signature area below every post? What about images in signatures? I guess if someone wants to post a small image, but links to the graphic, the link can be a very long URL, which would probably exceed a set character limit while the small image itself would be perfectly fine in the signature.
  4. Not sure if this qualifies as an actual issue/bug, but when opening the account menu on a mobile phone the box with the rank progress looks somewhat off. Shouldn't this have the same width like the menu itself (without the x button in the top left corner)? Also the rank progress box lies above the menu itself, so one has to scroll in order to get to all menu entries – something not everyone is aware of, so some functionality might be missed. For example in the screenshot you don't see that there is an option to log out of your account.

  6. When the hover card has had the old, smaller size (before the badges were added), the info definitely was there. Now the card is even bigger, hence I am wondering why the info got removed.
  7. So I noticed in the hovercard we just get the info whether or not a user is online right now. The more detailled information (about which page on the website the user is currently visiting) will only show up in the Who's Online block. I am pretty sure this has been handeled diffferently in the past: The hovercard had the same information like the Who's Online block. Why has this been changed? I am missing the detailled information in the hovercard. Edit: This is what I am talking about, in case anybody wonders...

  9. Yes, when a member joins (or leaves) a club, this should trigger a group promotion (or demotion).
  10. When downloading a language file in the AdminCP, one has to enter a Version number and a Version ID. What is the difference between these and what are these needed for? In which format should the version id be created in? Similar to the version number (x.x.x) or in a different way?
  11. From the v4.7.12 changelog: Added ability to disable or redirect PII data requests & account deletion. So this means there will be an option to enable/disable these features? Nice! What about redirecting? Which cases does that cover?
  12. There are language strings in regard to the icons. I think they start with "icon_" (I have to take a look, if you want the exact names). Those strings must not (!) contain any text, or the icons in the AdminCP will not be displayed. You should check if you find any text there. I am pretty sure that this will be the issue here.

  14. Invision Community already offers to highlight staff replies. Now what I would love to see in the software is an option (button) with a staff answer container that allowes the user to jump to (and go back to) the next staff answer, if there is any in the same topic. In addition to that a filter option to only show staff answers within a topic would be highly appreciated, too. Both features allow users to find somewhat "official" answers more easily, which can be key in a support-orientated community. And, of course, this does not neccessarily have to be limited to forums. It can also work in comments below blog articels, files, galery pictures and albums etc.
  15. Not sure about the others, but for me group-based permissions allow me to moderate. Right now you can request pii data and account deletion over and over again, even if you have downloaded the data a second ago. And for every request the admin has to react and take action. So in those cases, in order to force a member to not spam this functionality, I would (temporarily) move him to a group that is not allowed to request this information. Despite that at least a global on/off option is needed -- in order to have control whether or not you want to have this workflow. Again, even in the EU the right to be forgotten has limitations to it. Not everyone under every circumstances can refer to it, so there are situations where you don't want to offer these options.
  16. I found an issue regarding author responses to reviews in the downloads app: Create a downloads category where reviews are allowed, but only after a file actually has been downloaded. Upload a file in said category. Do NOT download it for yourself! (This is the usualy scenario, because the author of a file already has the file, so there will be not need to download it.) Log in as another user, download the file and leave a review. Now log in again as the file's author and try to respond to that review (again: WITHOUT downloading the file in the first place). Current behavior: You are allowed to write an author's response. However when you try to submit the response, nothing happens (no error message and the response will not be added to the review). Expected behavior: The author should always be able to respond to a review, no matter if he has downloaded the file or not.

Just a quick question: After I have installed this, what happens when an update of Invision Community is being released and I deactivate the plugin before the update process – will the software revert back to standard, which means everyone can request their account deletion again? Or do I have to manually adjust something somewhere?

Yes, although "required" might be the wrong term: Almost everything is not "required" per se. 😉 But I totally understand what you are saying here and I, too, would love to see everything being configurable. The more that can be enabled/disabled/configured the better, especially when it comes to frontend features that can be used by members or moderators. I understand that too many options might be overwhelming. However we are talking about AdminCP features here, a backend that is only used by very few experienced users, so lots of options should not be a real issue.
  19. @Stuart Silvester Thanks for the info. Can you then please move this to your feedback forum? Because I think when deleting an account based on an account deletion request, the admin should get the same options like manually deleting a member, which is: delete the user's posts hide the user's posts (with options to either keep the user's name or make it anonymous) keep the user's posts (also with options to either keep the user's name or make it anonymous)
  20. When approving an account deletion request, the message says: "Please confirm that you want to delete %s. The member's content will be left in the database, but flagged as Guest content." What does this mean exactly? Will the content show up under an anonymous guest post, a post under the original username with an added "(Guest)" to it? And why is there no option to delete the user's content? When deleting an account manually, we get all sorts of options. If that is really missing here, then I suggest you add this to account deletion requests.
  21. Please also add a bug report for {"type":"account_deletion_requested"}, which is another info that shows up in the user's profile history. 😉

  23. Thanks. I thought the profile picture was untentially missing (hence a bug), because both the notification in the menu and in the black popup bubble at the bottom looks "weird", since every other notification that I can remember has this profile picture.
  24. To me this sounds like you either have not set up clubs correctly yet, or you are looking in the wrong area to create forums, downloads etc. for clubs. Where are you looking exactly? Where are you trying to click in order to create club elements?
