sobrenome got a reaction from Grafidea in Use ImageMagick to convert uploaded images to WebP
ImageMagick is used by IPS to handle uploads of images, resizing them, compressing them and creating thumbnails.
Why not give the community admin the option to use ImageMagick to convert uploaded images by users to WebP?
As long as WebP is now accepted by IPS 4.6, I imagine that would be very simple to add this feature to the suite.
I am having a great experience converting the images that I post on my community to WebP. Same quality and much less bytes than JPG or PNG or GIF.

Hi. When the post included "Create own topic" shouldn't the owner - the new member - automatically follow that topic? We find that we - the staff - reply to that topic to welcome the member but the member doesn't know about it because they are not following the post.
Or did I miss a setting?
Thanks.

I have found webp to be only marginally better, or in some cases worse then JPEG.
There's no way this format would have caught on unless it was being forced by Google. I know an image format that is (really, not Google's BS numbers) 30% smaller than JPEG and it isn't supported by any browser.
In my view, the only reason to use webp is if Google is giving ranking preference to sites that use the format (based on the format, not the file size). I think their approach has been to introduce constant change to web standards in order to make sites that can't afford to keep up obsolete. It's just a way to coursely rank content and tell which sites are being actively maintained and have the resources to keep up with constant changes. Microsoft use to do the same thing to desktop application development.
However, I can't find anything conclusive on whether they actually use the format itself as a ranking factor.

I haven't had any reports of either things being an issue. Bouncer doesn't really run any complex database queries so I'm not sure why you would be seeing an issue like high CPU usage.
Please create a ticket here: https://ipb.silvesterwebdesigns.com/support (you will need to register if you haven't already). Make sure you include as much information about the issue as possible and provide an FTP/AdminCP login.

You have your configuration element outside the editorConfig function.
Do this instead...
Between...
a.removeDialogTabs="link:advanced" and..
}; Add...
;a.format_tags="p;h2;h3;h4" Then you get in to the fun and games of ensuring that your browser pulls down the updated file...Chrome responds nicely to a Ctrl+F5 (screenshot below is Chrome) but Firefox is a bit of a b***h in this area. Google is going to be your friend there.
Note: this file isn't served from IPS's cached data so running the support ool in the ACP to force a refresh is a fruitless task.
Note: this file may or may not be overwritten with IPS upgrades, by the way. Possible that a reset of the editor configuration might even reset it - not sure, not tested.

Still got a problem with it, here is a file of config.js - https://make-cash.pl/applications/core/interface/ckeditor/ckeditor/config.js . I think it's correct @Nathan Explosion. After ctrl + f5, clearing this file in cloudflare cache, changing options in editor so I don't know it refreshes....it's still the same 😕

Feature suggestion...add member content count to statistics so we can sort by members who have posted a good amount of content and dig into why they flagged as spam or have a bounce.

Typically I've only seen that issue when using Rocket loader in Cloudflare.
IPS does not set a cache control header on the file, so Cloudfront does not cache it. Cloudfront is literally checking ONLY the headers to determine cachability. Cloudflare is different in that it try to intelligently determine what is catchable.
With that being said... I don't think cache status is your problem. It appearing only on a reload is not a cache issue.
Per CF's docs:
I would try checking to see if you have Rocket loader enabled and if so, disable it. My guess is that is your problem and why a reload fixes your problem because other objects are loaded into the browser cache and therefore are not impacted by Rocket Loader on the subsequent reload of the page.
Once disabled, flush cache in CF, dump your browser cache, and try again.
By the way... not sure I understand why you posted your question in this year old thread that does not seem to be related?

sobrenome reacted to Nathan Explosion in (NE) HTML5 Audio/Video Player
Thank you.
Because it is an attachment, my application isn't responsible for the video player - that is native functionality for uploaded video files, added by Invision several major versions ago.
Why is it a video player instead of an audio player? Because Invision have .ogg files listed in their $videoExtensions variable in /system/File/File.php:
/** * @brief File extensions for HTML5 compatible videos */ public static $videoExtensions = array( 'mp4', '3gp', 'mov', 'ogg', 'ogv', 'mpg', 'mpeg', 'flv', 'webm', 'wmv', 'avi', 'm4v' ); ...and they also have it listed in their $audioExtensions variable too:
/** * @brief File extensions for HTML5 compatible audio */ public static $audioExtensions = array( 'mp3', 'ogg', 'wav', 'm4a' ); When a file is uploaded, Invision is checking it's type and then deciding what to do with it...and because it first finds ogg in the videoExtensions list, you get a video player.
How to fix it? Go here or here and post about it - it would help to link to this post so that whoever reads it doesn't simply say "OH, disable this or delete that or contact the dev"
For information - my application is only having an effect on the native player by turning the embedded video player (added by Invision) into a linked attachment because both the "Enforce settings to native IPS video" and "Enforce 'Download attachments' permission" settings are enabled (reason for using those is in the linked description of the second setting)

Caching headers was not the issue. I found out that my domain was pointing to the ELB instead of Cloudfront.
