sobrenome got a reaction from Donkerrood in Better member exclusion IPS 4.0: delete all data
In the current ips software we have the option to exclude a member and delete all its posts.

But we still have members' comments, articles, databases records, events, blogs entries, galleries, etc.

The new system should give the admin the power to delete all this data when a member is about to be excluded from the community.

In the current software search and new content are limited by type: pages, forums, blogs.... And the filters cannot be selected all together.

It would be nice to have the option to make a keyword search in the whole website, not limited by content type.

We have some basic ideas about geolocation support in 4.0, however I doubt they will be implemented to the degree you are requesting above. That would likely require a custom plugin to accomplish - but if the infrastructure to perform geolocation lookups is already in place, it should make such an addon much easier.

Your url looks nothing like a normal Google Maps query url. For instance, you're hitting googleapis.com.

I want the feature of adding forum posts like the media. Like it is already working for calendar. Here is the example how it should work for the forums' posts:

    Very good idea!

A similar thing that Facebook does: when you paste a link (topic, blog entry, member profile…), it collects some information (page title, page description…), and presents it in a friendly manner, rather than just a link, which is not very informative.

    I would love that <3

Shared Media is a tremendous asset for making existing content available and reusable. That said, there are a few changes I'd like to suggest that I think would make it even more useful:

Give admins the ability to easily control the content/styling of the display of the dropped in content in a manner similar to block templates from IP.Content. That would allow for niche appropriate formatting. Give admins the option to allow Shared Media to show not just the current member's content. By default I'd set it to show the logged in member's content, but I'd expand it to allow the using member to specify criteria for what they are looking for. That would make it an amazing tool for making the existing wealth of content on an established site available for re-use by admins and members both. Add IP.Content databases (and Articles) to Shared Media. This is a major problem, as IP.Content databases are a really rich source of content creation, and being able to drop in Summary, Representational Image and link to the record is an obvious (to me at least) use of shared media. Ideally I think adding a block format section to the DB configuration section under "Options" that allows the admin to build the content and display of what gets dropped in by Shared Media would be perfect. I really would like to have a default skin on IPS 4.0 that uses CSS sprites for icons and smilies, also considering high resolution retina display.

The CSS framework defines a ton of UI components - most of which we do utilize. We have also migrated to jQuery as has already been mentioned.
I would strongly recommend reserving judgement on the CSS framework until you get to see it. ;) This is an area where you can't really make an informed decision on yet, realistically.

4.x's CSS framework is pretty awesome - we're using our own, not Bootstrap (but I love ours, and I'm a Bootstrap fan).

Please for the sake of developers provide a standard bootstrap-style framework for us to use with a well-documented set of components. Bootstrap 3.0 provides this as a start:

    http://getboostrap.com/components

Go a step further and provide something like this:
    http://themeforest.net/item/flaty-premium-responsive-admin-template/full_screen_preview/5247864

Give us fully documented components even if you don't plan on use them that we can base our apps on so we can uniformly build apps you guys haven't even thought of yet. Integrating existing jQuery plugins to stylize the base set could facilitate this. That way we get a consistent look throughout the site.

The current style guide is so sparse with components that almost all apps look almost identical in their basic tabular format.

I was only suggesting higher resolutions for only key elements such as branding logos, and provide them so they load dynamically for device so to be courteous of bandwidth constraints.

Cyrem & Marcher: If you served all devices the retina images, they would be twice as big as they are now. I assume that is not what is being suggested.

HD refers to your resolution, which makes no difference. Retina refers to pixel density and allows for higher quality images in the same amount of space. The OP is asking us to provide retina versions of images so they look right on retina displays. While Apple are the only manufacturer using them right now, that will change.

That's the correct action. IP.Board is already compliant with those changes, and you just need to "set the migration setting to "Enabled" in the Advanced section of the App Dashboard." as is noted.

yes, it is NOT limited to articles in any manner pavero, you simply need to edit said database in the acp and enable it(and tagging obv), and also can be applied/overridden to any single category.
The results, obviously, will be limited to viewable items(.....permissions were FUN here) in the current database.
The block will factually only appear on records with tags applied that have other records in the same database tagged the same.
No, it will not look cross-database for same-tagged records, it would make it beyond heavy to instantiate EVERY IPC tags class, run the search on all of them then check perms for a result set you can view.

you want.... comments then? just enable them on the database configuration, that is stock function, I am highly confused now.
This hook is an extension to make TAGS more valuable and useful in content 'databases' and 'records' via inter-linkage of 'records' in the 'database' tagged with one of the same tags.
