Think we're splitting hairs at this point 🙂 . The 2FA timeout is functioning as it should, if it is prompting you again on login. However, the ACP timeout is the real issue here. We will continue to inspect that in the proper topic and that will resolve the issue here as well.

There is nowhere in which to change timeouts for this at the present time. You can only set that for all 2 factor. So go to 2 factor authentication>Settings, and you will see how often it should ask there.

Yeah, Stripe and PayPal are very unfriendly and steal from you on currency exchange rates. Even worst local currency exchange shops do not have such bad rate as PayPal - fair enough I can put currency exchange differences as company cost but still loosing on it. With Revolut I pay pretty fair commission and still a lot is left in my pocket.

    Hi,
Revolut becoming very popular way of getting pay. It is beating alternative for PayPal in aspect of fees while keeping even better Customer experience because it is very simple way of paying. While PayPal is only financial institution, Revolut is a bank already, so you have real bank account that allows you to take card payments, wired payments, payments on @nickname, or payment for mobile number. It is a way quicker than PayPal and way more modern for now days. IPS, @Matt, @Lindy, please consider a gateway for Revolut Pay: https://developer.revolut.com/

To be honest, I wonder why IPS did not leave marketplace as platform for sellers and instead closure could introduce e.g. monthly, constant payments, then instead taking money directly, could allow seller to define the target payment method.
I use my Commerce this way, so when buyer comes to purchase something he sees who he buys from (exact details) and this way I am responsible for nothing, except colleting money for using the platform.
My only guess is that IPS wanted to get a rid of all custom apps/plugins before IPSv5

Stripe or PayPal have the most expensive fees for payments. I'm paying to 5% in a lot cases.
Today we have many newest and cheapest alternatives like Revolut, Skrill, Payoneer, Clover, Dharma, Binance.
We need more flexibily and alternatives to charge our payments in IPS.

    Hi IPS,
I know you explained inability of efficient implementation of such for self-hosted solutions, however, would you be able to add ability to manually mark accounts to do not send emails to? It would help bounce back in case of using bulk-email send. For now I manually review our inbox and do the same with some workaround to prevent massive bound-backs when sending bulk emails. Having ability to mark accounts with some DB stored flag would help a lot, as I could automate the process without use of custom plugins etc. I think many others could find the ability useful too. Thanks

@Lindy There is plenty of changes you, IPS, introduced recently. Some are scary, some leave a room for fear of what next..
I could read you say you are about to improve providers directory.. however.. for years there is area of your community that remains same for years.. feedback/suggestions. Are you going to take closer look on improvement on that area, so you implement more requested features in much higher frequency than it was till now? That could be great equivalent/replacement for retired Marketplace.

    Hi IPS,
If you set theme to use fluid width the header on tablet/mobile devices is affected. The logo and hamburger menu are displayed considering the max fluid width instead stick to left and right edges of the screen hat looks awful. On desktop it is fine but on mobile it can make the logo/menu centered at certain settings, e.g. 65% of fluid width.

As a hobbyist of the product, I really held off on doing anything major with this product (beyond just renewing my self-hosted license to tinker). The reason? A lot of what my community requires truly requires plugins and convincing my demographic to visit a website over Discord is truly a challenge. Incentivizing things like that will always be a challenge unless web apps, as you guys showcased, become a norm. However, telling a younger demographic about web applications and how to get one on your phone so its like an app is unlikely to yield the results.
It seems more and more other companies are leveraging forums (Discord being one) and finding ways to enhance their product while keeping it true. While your bulk customers have probably not leveraged the marketplace, it seems your vocal minority has. I do get a bit lost in what exactly losses you were experiencing beyond chargebacks.

Thank you as always for your insight.

No. Just because a feature request is popular, it doesn't mean that it's right for the product, will enhance the community experience for community members and move the product forward.

It is also unfair to have the product guided by a small number of customers that visit the forums and take time to comment on feature requests. The forum does not record the hundreds of conversations we have with other clients over email, regular meetings and so on.

We try and account for most things but more often than not what is suggested in feedback is generally minor tinkering around the edges when more bold action is often needed. That is not to say that we do not read every topic and discuss most of them. Quite often a popular request that we hear over and over makes its way into the software but perhaps not in the way that the topic author described.
I completely understand this feeling. The last six months or so have been a pretty dark timeline of mostly negative news, especially for self-hosted customers. The introduction of cloud exclusive features, talks of falling profitability for self hosted license sales, a long list of deprecated features people use, v5 dev tools overhaul, the marketplace closing - it's been a lot and we recognise that.
Now that the bad stuff is out of the way, we can start talking about v5 and there is a lot of fun stuff to get into. Invision Community 5 is a new chapter for the product and us as a company. A more streamlined and focused operation fit for the next decade of community building.

You would need to do a manual upgrade. It does need to be mentioned, we no longer support this, so if you are unsure, it may be best to get assistance. However if you want to take a look yourself, the process is
Backup fully Upload a fresh set of files Upgrade your server to PHP 8 Ensure things match the requirements checker - https://invisioncommunity.com/files/file/7046-invision-community-requirements-checker/ Run the upgrader from /admin/upgrade

This is normal, it's an interface file that isn't part of the front session handler. These files are used for communication between the payment gateways and the community. Typically without any member (it's like an API/webhook request).
We've made a change for an upcoming release (not .12) that will tell the customer in the checkout if the funding source refuses the payment.
