Especially that living costs across the world raises every day recently and all the providers (not IT only) wants more and more but when you sum the "more" on one end person you will notice you pay like €1000-1500 more than your monthly average then yes - you start looking for alternatives.
I plan to raise my subscriptions to but before I do this I work on modules that will allow to raise income of my customers, so we will be even.
Now, when it comes to limiting some features to cloud only, my personal feeling is like being treated as a person who pay by cash in the cards world. The trend introduced by governments is pushing such people to the side (at least in Europe) where people who pay by card are being offered with more possibilities - but everywhere you hear about "equality".
Maybe I go to far by someone's opinion but at the end this is where all this is going to - to promote people who ADJUST to the trend. Question here is, who has business in introducing the trend? and what the business is 🙂

@JohnDar Same issue here, I switched to advanced editor as I have been offered with such option and can't see the css'es anymore. I preferred advanced editor to manage theme upgrades =/

Their was flip side … i.e. adobe charging upfront cost.. and then later, no ground breaking changes, till major versions, so folks holding on old release. Lower initial cost helped them to get going.
Imagine 10$/month - You get both lightroom and photoshop from Photography perspective. Microsoft still sells stand alone licenses for Office vs Office 365. I pay yearly cost family license of 40-50$/year which is nothing but avg. 10$/annual.
Now a lot of folks making leaving out of Adobe products.. but how many does on forum side? For us it's a hobby and if hobby will cost me 100$/month or more, I will find alternative hobby OR platform.
FB, Discord, etc. can be effectively used together - you don't need to worry for DDoS, spam, SSO, outages, technology, upgrade, etc.
When you are only major application in the area, you can charge whatever you like as long as customers are willing to pay. I don't think IPS is only application in forum side and more they push for higher cost, folks will start finding alternative solutions.

Nice to see you started to improve Commerce, however, still do not see something I was requesting for years already - ability to adjust price after purchase basing on custom field value.

This is kind of a 'must be' feature for subscriptions. E.g. you make purchase of subscription of specified product, and later you may only increase count of licenses (using purchase custom field value) for that specified product (subscription) instead purchasing new copy of product (subscription) over and over. It looks more smooth for admin and customer. Ability to charge after purchase basing on change of value of purchase custom fields, opens a wide ability to manage products and subscription.

I honestly wonder why it is not yet there. Anyway, thanks for your work, hope to see such feature in near future, finally.

It is all nice but.. you make so many improvements to forums itself but nothing to IP.Commerce - to make it more flexible and extended. Have feeling Commerce is really forgotten product.

I was looking for many improvements regarding sale of non-physical products and a way of managing auto-assigned groups.

I also was interested in improvements in packages parent/child system and charging options, e.g. price auto-adjustment of child package being assigned upon purchase to parent one with future expiry date. I made some more suggestions in the past but most was ignored and some refused.

For now I gave up on requesting anything regarding Commerce, I continue to use Nexus with IPB 3.4 until I will find new Commerce suite my needs. Currently I use widely modified Nexus, only thank to that I can survive somehow.
