SardiniaNET reacted to teraßyte in Embed contents leads to the crash
To add some more details to this: the problem are POST requests that contain <iframe> elements being blocked by the server. Like YouTube embeds as mentioned above.

I would generally recommend to ask your host to disable mod_security for your website. They can turn it off for your site without effecting other sites on the same server if you're on a shared host. If you're on a VPS, it would be even safer as there is no possibility of other impact.
Generally mod_security causes more problems than it fixes in my opinion.

The System Log is in our software at ACP -> Support -> System Log.

SardiniaNET got a reaction from BandiRoot in PHP 8 - deteriorated performance.
Is it possible that changing the version of PHP in use to 8.0 could somehow make the performance of IPS worse?

SardiniaNET got a reaction from Marc Stridgen in Download area > Veeery slow transfer
I am writing this for the purpose of future reference.
It was a tracking problem (now solved) arising from my provider (Telecom Italia).
I contacted support and the technician verified with a 'tracert' command that a bizarre turn was being made (ITALY - BRAZIL (!) - USA - ITALY) to connect me to that specific server.
If it happens to anyone else, I recommend running tracert from the command prompt (as administrator) and checking for anomalies.
Ciao

SardiniaNET got a reaction from SeNioR- in Download area > Veeery slow transfer
Hello!
One of the IPS platforms I manage has experienced after upgrading to the latest version a major slowdown in downloading files from the download section. Can it depend on some parameter or option in the control panel or should I refer to the provider?

Glad to hear you got that resolved 🙂

Hey there. Been a while! 🙂
Sure, if the suggestion above about the language pack doesn't work send me a PM with the details and I can have a look. 👍

SardiniaNET reacted to Askancy in Slowdown and missing dates and times
What language pack do you use? probably the author hasn't updated it anymore.
A client of mine had the same problem, he was using ipb 4.6 with the translation of 4.1

Ask your host provide to increase the specs of your account. I think they are too low to your needs.
On default skin too? I doubt. Update your skin.

SardiniaNET reacted to Askancy in Slowdown and missing dates and times
The translation package is updated to the latest version?
-
SardiniaNET reacted to teraßyte in Slowdown and missing dates and times
Which version are you using?
There was a patch released at some point that had to do with dates. You can check in "ACP > System > SUPPORT > Get Support" if you have any pending patches that need to be applied.

Hello,
It isn't a plugin anymore. It is an app now:
And to adjust the settings, go to Admin CP -> Community -> Enhanced User Info Panel as stated in the image above.

Thank you for your reply, @TAMAN
SOLVED!

Hello,
Have you updated the theme to latest version?
If you have updated your theme to latest version but still looks like this...
Then this means u have selected to use old template versions during theme upgrade.
In this case u need to reinstall the theme to fix it.
If you don't want to reinstall the theme because of customizations...
You can make a copy of the theme and then delete it ( you need to delete the one with IPS Marketplace tag on it)
After that reinstall the theme from ips marketplace and if u have any customizations u don't want to lose simply copy paste from the version u copied 🙂

Oh! so you have missed the previous update which was necessary to delete some CSS templates
Don't worry it's simple and easy to fix
Go to
ACP -> Customization -> APPEARANCE -> Themes -> Edit HTML and CSS
Click on CSS tab and delete/revert these two templates.

Sorry, I have no idea what you pasting.
Are you trying to update your theme?
If so, just download the latest one and then update ?
-
SardiniaNET reacted to TAMAN in Behemoth Theme [ support topic ]
Do you mean the changelog folder?
If so,
You dont need it anymore.
Simply download latest one and update your current version as you used to do ?
The update folder on previous version was only some newbie instructions about how to delete some CSS templates which was necessary for that version
That was one time task you don't need to follow any update instructions anymore

I have provided screenshots on how to open custom.css above.
Pages templates has nothing to do with this, custom.css is a theme CSS template you can use it for your manual customization's
to open custom.css you need to go to Admin Control Panel > Customization > Themes
and then follow these two screenshots below
-
SardiniaNET reacted to TAMAN in Behemoth Theme [ support topic ]
Add it in custom.css
Yes it is compatible.
All of my themes are compatible with almost all ips updates because only two templates are customized, and i usually update the themes same day its not compatible.
Its connected with some other menus
but if you only want to change the emoticons panel background then add this to custom.css and change the color value
.ipsMenu[data-controller="core.global.editor.emoticons"] { background-color: cadetblue; }
