Yes - that. Getting excited and getting sad in a matter of minutes... Please label clearly if it for cloud only so it can be immediately understood.

Why don't you use a pre-fix with the title like: [Cloud Only] New Live Community Features!

    Hi @Matt!
I enabled this feature, great job!
One question... In the first view, when I'm in a category listing all topic list, there's no a "Start new topic" button.  Is it because it's a category and not a forum? I think it should appear with this mode enabled and the button should let you choose between it's forums.

Be careful using the copy settings function. I enabled all and it also turned it on for forums that do not have a sub forum, leaving the current forum in the sidebar selector (weird). Then I tried to copy settings to off and it will not work. Had to shut off one by one.

Good news: it already works for categories. 😀
Good ideas, I'll make a note.

I am in love with the fluid view. What I dislike about it:
The button Start new topic on the front page wants me to select one from one. 😞 To encourage guests to submit I do allow only one forum for them to post topics/questions. Do not overwhelm the user with the large lists of categories, forums and sub-forums where they are not allowed to post in.

You speak of SEO to reduce clicks, what about user-friendly reduction of clicks? 😉
The second wish: to encourage registrations, I would like to see the topics from the forums set to Users without read permission can open forum? in the fluid list. This way I can promote a forum, where registered users only can read. The guests can see a topic teaser in fluid view. When they click on the topic, they see Custom No Permission Error. If they would like to read and participate, they have to register.
Currently, those forums are just not visible in the fluid view. 😞 Hence, the guests do not even know the forum exists.

There is an underlying, more important question regarding the question whether social media promotion works:
Does guest traffic create conversions (i.e. registrations and active members) on the specific website? If yes, then creating more traffic (e.g. through social media posts) creates more conversions. If the answer is “no”, then all attempts to create more traffic are pointless. Wether it’s paid ads, social media posts, newsletters or whatever. The website must first deliver something that users would want to or even need to sign up for.

All I can say is that the evidence speaks for itself - some others may have success, but I've yet to hear it.  I've been doing this for over 20 years and the landscape now compared to even 10 years ago is completely different and regrettably SM is the root cause for the empty corridors in forum sites.  As I mentioned it's no fault of the software, nor the commitment of site creators, it's people, or the lack thereof, that show little or no interest. Sad, but that's the way it is and this is echoed across platforms and across the Internet.  Established sites may offer a different view, but there's a huge difference between being established and just starting out.  For businesses, whether established or just starting, the landscape is different but even they have a tendency to gravitate to SM because that's where their clients are too 🙂

Improving PageSpeed needs a layered approach. There are many things you can do with your server configuration (Invision Community Cloud and Enterprise customers need not worry about this, our cloud platform is optimised already). Sending CSS/JS as gzip, ensuring gzip encoding is on, consider using a CDN to speed up delivery of assets, etc.

Software side, we continue to make improvements. We have a plan for re-engineering how javascript and CSS is compiled to make the file sizes smaller.

Just keep in mind that a community platform is much more complex than a simple website, or Wordpress site. A community platform deals with user generated content, which means dealing with external assets such as YouTube embeds, images, GIFs and more.

SEO remains central to our development plans.

Outside of PageSpeed, we continue to improve with JSON-LD, sitemaps and more.

    I agree with Sonya.
    1. Better URL editing structure across forums, pages and clubs. Should be able to edit without limitation.
    2. Availability to edit any forum categories, forum posts and clubs cats with meta descriptions, meta titles (needs to be different against the H1 title) for an example. (Should all be in one tool) male it easy without too many editing steps.
    3. Option to add a no index, no follow, index follow across the whole site in theory would be better to have control over this however you guys listened to us regarding profiles amd various other things you will auto disclude which is great as the search engine results are not great. Good content is missing.
It's worth to mention that there can be automated rules to apply to forum posts, for example a noindex, no follow would apply for forum posts with less than 300 characters and so on.  I could go on for weeks about the seo,ux and market but won't as I have a habit of boring people. 😛

    May I? 😊
Add live meta tag tool to each page (like block manager that can be started on each page from the left side). Right now, we have to go to AdminCP, start live meta tag tool, search for the page we would like to change page title or description. The same for edit. Just too many steps.  Add a possibility to exclude certain Pages databases from sitemap. There can be databases that store cites or quotes. This is not-unique content that should not be crawled. There can be databases, that only used to group records from other databases, they do not make sense standalone. Add an ability to implement structured data visually in Pages databases, see examples for FAQ, Books, Courses, Tutorials, Companies, Videos, Products, Recipes, Persons  https://developers.google.com/search/docs/advanced/structured-data/search-gallery

That would be very helpful, hold for moderation if contains a link for new registrations. You can already moderate all links but not isolate for new registrations only.

Yeah a lot of auto bot spammers post a link, moderation if a link is posted in the accounts 1/2/3 posts would be very useful.

I just had a closer read of this and whilst it is a step in the right direction, I still don't think it's amazing.
Most people that use these notifications will still want to be notified when one of their posts is quoted by someone else.
But no-one wants to be notified when their post get a like/reaction.
Keeping "quotes" and "reactions" bundled into a single option is a mistake in my opinion.
I feel like "quotes" should either be bundled with "replies / mentions" or setup as it's own option.
To be honest - for the best granularity - all 4 options should be separate.
    I.e.
    - REPLIES         [ON / OFF]
    - MENTIONS   [ON / OFF]
    - QUOTES        [ON / OFF]
    - REACTIPONS [ON / OFF]

    Fantastic work. Thank you! 😍
For push notifications, how will it work for self-hosted installations?
Do we need to create an Apple developer account, and do all the heavy stuff?
    Thank you again!

    Some questions:
Will community owners be able to select the default push notification for new members, similar to default notifications?  When users login and are prompted to accept notifications, I'd like to recommend that IPS adds a 'recommended' tag to the default selection.  This will give communities the greatest chance of engagement (or no engagement, whatever floats your boat).
