Is it possible to truncate the amount of text in a topic hovercard? For example, there may be 50 lines of text, but only 5 would be preferred to limit the length of the hovercard. With thanks

Screenshot machine is the best service I've found when using Links Directory and up to several impressions it's free to use and the API key is free too.

Yeah, I get that, but this issue was reported about a month ago and there's no movement on when I fix will be applied, so adding it to the bug tracker will just be a duplicate. I was seeking clarification as to when this will be fixed 🙂

I've been getting this error for about a month now on the Invision mobile app - I remember someone else mentioning this but can't find the topic. Whenever I attempt to view a site, I get an error message:

There could be several factors in play here: Cookies not being set/saved correctly User has instructed the browser to delete all browsing data when closing User deletes browsing data through an application Installation corruptions Instead of logging out, just ask the user to close the browser window and, assuming none of the above apply then when s/he returns all should be as it was left.

Different themes may have different element names - finding the correct CSS to change will depend on what changes the theme developer has made; therefore, some CSS changes won't work globally for all themes. Finding the correct element is usually done using the browser console, make the changes in the console and see if the changes you expect actually happen 🙂 -

OK add this to your custom.css file: #elSiteTitle, #elLogo { margin-top: 10px; margin-bottom: 10px; height: 150px !important; } Change the height to whatever your logo height is, or a percentage thereof in pixels (don't use percentage sign %). The margins can also be adjusted to suit - just gives the logo a little breathing room. -

Are you using a theme other than stock? Can you provide a link to your site and then I can check to see what element needs to be changed? -

Use the below in your custom.css file - you can change the height element to either pixels or percentage whichever suits you best and you can change the width too if necessary. .sMainHead__logo { max-width: 230px; height: 150%; } If you're using a custom theme, then the above may be a different element. 🙂 -

I went to make some colour changes in the custom widget section for the quote header, etc. Made the changes and hit save and reload and got this - the changes were not saved: Where it says check the values on the marked tabs, there are no tabs marked. Running 4.5 Beta 8 Any ideas? With thanks.

I actually did this and it made no difference - it was the first thing I did was to get the system to check for updates and it still didn't show anything. I've got into the habit of checking for updates at least once a day with the beta still in operation and developers releasing 4.5 updates slowly.

Really! I thought that members flags were allocated from their IP address - good job I only have two members at the moment seeing how the site is brand new - this could have caused issues further down the line if that was not known; thanks for the update on how uninstalling can have an effect 🙂

Yeah this was the same issue I had and mentioned it here: Because this app doesn't add anything data-wise I just uninstalled it and installed the latest version 🙂

I will if it happens again - I had to delete the app and then install the newer version, so it's all good now; it was fortunate that the app was not essential so no data was lost 🙂

Agreed, an upgrade was available for one of my apps and I could not upgrade because the system stated it was current, which it wasn't obviously.

You can but it's a faff as you need to edit the image when you go into the bio of the person look under the media tab and click on profile; I used this as an example, but make sure that you can actually get a decent image of the person before you delve into the guts of the site. If you click on the + in the circle you can add an image. It's a tricky move to get to this but give it a go. I've done it and it works 🙂

Yeah I checked this in the default theme and it's the same. I don't have any plugins installed as there are none available for 4.5 - I'll wait for the new version and report back - thanks 🙂

Hi @Adriano Faria I've just installed this app for 4.5 from the ACP Marketplace and it's showing my country flag on my profile but nowhere else. I changed the setting from 'show everywhere' to specific apps but it still won't show the flag anywhere but on my profile. Am I missing something? When I attempted to add an item for which I've paid for in the ACP Marketplace app, I get this: My license is active and not renewable until September, so what gives?

That sounds like a lot of work and probably not worth the effort. It's a shame that it's laid out this way without any settings for preference. The images I'm using are movie poster images and need a little extra space in the length department and a lot less space in the width, otherwise messing with the image sizes makes them gargantuan and somewhat pixelated. Thanks for taking the time to reply and point out the work needed to make it fit - I'll take your advice and leave well alone 🙂
