Is it possible to remove the Featured Images from the top of the Gallery index page, or even move them down to below the category list?

Woohoo 🎉 It's nice to see this become public after a long time being an internal tool.
Given one of the big selling points is the type system, it would make sense for you to include the type of each field in the documentation. Personally I wouldn't even bother hand-rolling documentation - let a tool parse the schema and just make the output available to developers (and include docs on using Graphiql GUI tool too). The docs you've put together are losing the inherent relationships that GraphQL has; I think it'd be frustrating to use them as a reference (for example, here's the query to get a club, but it doesn't tell you what fields are returned, what types they are, if they have sub-fields etc.)
When I worked on customer sites at IPS I spent a lot of effort trying to query stuff in Pages blocks using raw PHP blocks and the IPS framework. Being able to write a GraphQL query to fetch everything I needed would have been great.

This is a great addition and I'm really looking forward to the changes because we recently started using the Gallery for both photo and video uploads.

The "Play" button overlay does not appear when viewing images/videos in an album page -- unless it's clicked. People may not click because it's not obvious that the image is actually a video. Is it possible to make this button/overlay appear in the homepage of albums?

The same thing happens in the Image Feed block. Videos are listed with pictures, but there is no differentiation between the two or anything to indicate to viewers that there is actually a video they can watch.

Excellent update! I'm excited about this, and I think given the 100's of gallery improvement posts and topics over the years, you've done a great job in identifying where to start and what to prioritise.
Thank you for sorting the obviously long overdue UI issues, especially the navigation and Lightbox. Hopefully it won't be as intrusive autoloading. Great to see it less crowded. I was intending to add integration with AWS Rekognition to create image tags, so that's a nice touch.
Gallery has always been a good app, better than most in terms of functionality but it needed these modern updates every is now so used from the best WP galleries. Less JS is hugely welcome, even if less reliance on JQuery for vanilla JS, and finally native lazyloading; please add that throughout the suite immediately!
Looking forward to seeing more of the category, album and image layouts. Will there be a choice of layouts in terms of masonry, grid, filterable etc?
Any plans for Gallery integration with Commerce?
A great start to modernising this app. 😋

The visual redesign, performance enhancements and the NSFW tagging are available for everyone but video transcoding and searchable images are cloud only based on the notes in the post.

Is there no way to put a URL on a Live/In-Person Event so a button shows up to take the user to the event website? Link to Purchase Tickets?  Even for live or in-person events it would be nice to have a button that takes the user to the event website or to a purchase tickets location.

These changes look great!  Thank you for adding them!
Some suggestions I hope you might consider in a future version...
Could you add a text box to the search space to allow searching by name or keywords within the event listing? I've tried creating a "Holidays" calendar with the common events...  New Years, Easter, Thanksgiving, etc".  I'm not able to setup certain holidays as a recurring event because certain ones don't happen on a fixed date.  For example, Memorial Day and Thanksgiving.  It would be helpful to be able to specify relative annual dates such as "4th Thursday in November". Would you consider making Venues not required to be a physical location?  I would love to include certain locations (like chat rooms, or other virtual locations) be a venue that could be searched, sorted, filtered, etc.   It would be helpful for an event organizer or admin to be able to manage RSVPs.  For example to add an attendee/remove an attendee or change their status (Going/Maybe/Declined)

What's funny is that I had renamed "Calendar" to "Events" via language strings years ago.  I'm glad IPS has decided to come along for the ride.  🤣

This is really well executed. I especially like the implementation of online events, and the month selector. Really well done.
    P.S:
The "Search Events" panel has too much padding The date display in the top-left corner of the larger event block also has too much padding. Although I see why you did it this way (so it's inline with the content in it), it looks wrong compared to the smaller blocks below it where it is actually in the corner. It's also not inline with its content in the smaller block. You should push it to the corner but make it bigger in the larger block. The filters on the map view need some tidying: "Back" / "Sort By" buttons butt up against the controls above, which are unevenly spaced, and the top of the "Search" button is misaligned with the top of the labels. Visiting the Calendar probably shouldn't prompt the user to provide their geolocation until they interact with something. Sorry, I couldn't help myself.

    ..and no.
    No, I won't.
    Why?
Because search results will now display an image if the content contains an attached image:

"But that's on Cloud only..." I hear you say. Nope, it's not - it's on IPS 4.7.0 onwards.
But what? How?...because the feature that they are referring to is not simply the adding of the image to the search results. It's the further analysis of the image, to look at what the image is (or potentially is, because y'never know...there may be flaws) as per @Matt's content here (see section titled '[BETA] Image processing and moderation'

Some of us can get "quite" passionate about new features, hence Jordan's gentle hint to "Just be Nice".
Everyone's needs are different so it's unlikely every new feature will be considered universally useful.
Programmers get progressively more creative the more features they tackle. For each less than useful feature that gets released the programing team becomes more and more capable at tackling more complex features "you" and I will want.
Software development can be quite frustrating and often times praise is few and far between. If a feature isn't something necessarily praiseworthy (to you or I) being silent might be the nice thing to do.
As our Community Advocate, @Jordan Miller is attempting to convey that a community that's "nice" can advocate far more effectively for themselves than one that's adversarial.
