  1. Sorry for the delay. It sounds like you are looking to move a member to a different user group when an action occurs in a 3rd party application? For this you could use the rest API if your 3rd party application allows for custom actions. https://invisioncommunity.com/developers/rest-api Specifically you would use the member edit endpoint https://invisioncommunity.com/developers/rest-api?endpoint=core/members/POSTitem
  2. MS SQL 2016 Support

Invision Community uses MySQL (or compatible variants such as MariaDB) exclusively. There is no MSSQL driver. We do have a REST API however that may be another method for you to perform your required integrations. https://invisioncommunity.com/developers/rest-api If you can provide more info on why SQL Server integration is required we may be able to recommend a solution. I can't see any compelling reason why it would be necessary to synchronise the same database content across two platforms.
  3. Combining Forums

What you are looking for is not currently possible unfortunately. It's possible to share login information across multiple separate installs but it is not possible to alter the content served based on the domain name accessed. You can merge two communities into a singe community using the converter tool. The end result of this would be a single install on a single domain however.
  4. Lousy SEO

Could you please elaborate on what you think is a problem? What specifically did you test? Invision Community is constantly reviewed for SEO optimisations and I am not aware of any missing basic optimisations.
  5. A few Wordpress SSO questions...

Thanks for your feedback regarding affiliate options and Wordpress integration, I'll pass on your thoughts to the team so these can be considered for a future version. Regarding the 3rd party Wordpress plugin questions I would recommend you contact the plugin author directly for integration queries.
  6. Self-Hosted Hosting Company Compatibility

Hi Raul, Discussion of 3rd party hosting companies is not allowed here for obvious reasons . The $100 install fee covers installing Invision Community on your chosen host. It does not cover any configuration or installation of server side modules such as PHP and MySQL. Your host should be able to assist with setting up PHP and MySQL but most will come pre set up. We have a compatibility checker at https://invisioncommunity.com/files/file/7046-get-ready-for-ips-4/ that you or your host can use to make sure the server is compatible.
  7. Developer Docs Question

Developer documentation is being worked on constantly. There is currently no sample hello world application but the following page of the documentation is a good place to start. https://invisioncommunity.com/developers/docs/general/enabling-developer-mode-r23/ from there you would move to... https://invisioncommunity.com/developers/docs/general/using-the-developer-center-r5/ Within those two items there should be enough info to get you started with a hello world application but if you have any problems or specific questions please feel free to ask in the contributor forums.
  8. Protect other php pages with user system of Inivison forum

It's possible but we can't support this directly. You would be responsible for developing and maintaining your own code. Development documentation for reading the Invision Community session can be found here...
  9. Article plugin for board

Could you please add some further info? I'm not sure what it is you are asking. There is an articles system built in to the software as part of the Pages application if this is what you are referring to.
  10. Woltlab Suite => IPB Converter?

There currently aren't any plans but we may be able to create one as a custom conversion service.
  11. Woltlab Suite => IPB Converter?

Hi Tom, There isn't currently a Woltlab 5 to Invision Community 4 converter although we may be able to create one for you as part of our custom migration service (https://invisioncommunity.com/services/migrate). If this is something that interests you please email sales@invisionpower.com

  15. This is not currently a feature unfortunately. Paid file commission settings are fixed and cannot be altered by member group or category. I have raised this as an internal feature suggestion however as I personally agree this would be a good addition. Unfortunately I'm not able to say if and when this would be included. In the meantime you may be able to hire a 3rd party developer to extend the existing functionality if this is important for you. We have a directory of 3rd party providers available for hire at https://invisioncommunity.com/third-party/providers/
