Mack_au reacted to Daddy in The numbers don’t lie: Invision Community in 2021
The updates this year were pretty sweet, but... This article is a bit misleading. The growth in community engagement here was due to shipping support over to the forums and from when the community came together to push back on the IPS team for radical changes with no warning or solid explanation.
So technically engagements are up from new features, but not in a good way 😛 Either way, I love it here. Just wanted to point that out ❤️

Mack_au got a reaction from loccom in What's new in 4.4.5?
Same. I've got 5 of them all with similar names and it was always a bit of a hassle/pain to figure out which was which.

I especially like how pages databases are now handled in the AdminCP. Very nice improvement!

Mack_au got a reaction from Phil Lilley in New: Copy Topic to Database
Click the dropdown and it will bring up the article categories, and then any subcategories.
The feature is kinda broken though, I just tried it, in the same way I used "Promote to Article" to promote a forum thread to a frontpage article, except it created a duplicate forum thread.
I've put in a bug report already.

Has anyone tried this yet. I'm just now attempting it on Beta 6 and it is just coming back with a blank popup that says "Select Database"

Mack_au got a reaction from falafel in Update on Invision Community 4.2
Please ensure that the ability to promote the forum topic of a database entry into a front page article works, retaining all the comments for the thread, frontpage article and database.
Thank you.
