  1. With the Marketplace EOL and providers switching to or relying on their IPS sites, it's really not the time to also be losing the built-in Support Ticket system. Providers will need it more now than before and all the third-party offerings are not free after trials end, require additional sharing of client data and require integration. The integrated system with Commerce is so convenient and with the planned Commerce improvements even more so. Please can you consider a stay of execution or perhaps even simplify it to make it less timely for IPS to maintain? Thank you.
  2. Hello and thank you for your interest in Invisionary Themes & Design! My name is Graham Smith and I'm a UK-based freelance web designer, occasional developer and web hosting/server admin. I've been creating websites since 2000, both for myself and also for a small number of special clients including television/film actors, supporting local charity and community organisation websites. I've been using Invision Community (IPS) since it launched over 2 decades ago, starting out with the predecessor to IPS known as Ikonboard. I now develop my own themes for Invision Community and am known for Halloween Macabre, Christmas Midwinter and Remembrance: Curious? Invisionary.tech is the place to experience my IPS themes, try out some variations, and get support and purchase from a growing range of innovative and original themes and plugins available for Invision Community (IPS/IPB). It's completely free to sign up! Re: IPS Marketplace Closure October 2023 Already have an active purchase for one of my paid products via the IPS Marketplace? For continued support, updates and access to exclusive client offers, register an account over at Invisionary.tech if you haven't already, and then contact me to confirm the details of your original Marketplace purchase (your license keys can now be found here). Look out for more themes coming soon! Graham P. Smith
  3. Very nice! Please add an option to disable Rick Astley.
  4. Please can you add Gallery to the available RSS Import areas (under AdminCP > RSS Feed Imports)? We only have Pages and Forums, plus Blogs via the front end. Example: Import Nasa's image of the day from their RSS Feed: https://www.nasa.gov/rss/dyn/lg_image_of_the_day.rss Many thanks!
  5. Actually @Matt @Grafidea , I've aways liked the idea of being able to add templates from external providers and then being able to just drag and drop the necessary fields from a list (required/optional fields) into each template. You can get so many really attractive free email templates these days, much better than I could create myself. It always seemed too time consuming in the past, checking in case you missed an important bit of code needed by IPS4.
  6. I have mixed regrets about the whole thing but at the end of the day, if it's not sustainable as a loss-maker for IPS, I understand it has to go. I certainly won't miss the Marketplace approval queue! I've read concerns about having to browse and check dozens of sites to get updates. I think the update check will still work though, unless I've missed something, so it should be simple to see a new update is available for apps, plug-ins and themes. You click on it like now and it takes you to where you can download the available update.
  7. Thanks for the reminder @My Sharona 50MB freed up!
  8. Many forums where we are likely to post code have a sidebar, so the smaller tool bars are then activated. Please can you add the Code button to the CKEditor Toolbar for tablets? Many thanks!
  9. HI, Will v5 allow theme designers to add the existing form seperators and headings inbetween between Custom Theme Settings? Would be nice to be able to add them and simply drag/drop to break up or group longer tabs of options. (I wanted to add a screenshot but I'm only allowed to add 52.7kB! But if you look at say Account Credit Settings in Commerce AdminCP that sort of thing.) Also, will there be any new form field settings we can use in our Custom Theme settings, such as touch-friendly slider/range controls, color fields that support opacity (RGBA instead of just plain RGB) etc? Many thanks!
  10. Wow, that was fast! Tomato/Tomarto I guess, depending upon your perspective! By controlled I meant more managed from a security perspective.
  11. I'm curious, if you can achieve it via a hack and you know people will need to do it, why not simply retain the ability to modify or replace? At least then it would be more controlled. 🤔
  12. Hi, Re: Plugin EOL for v5... Is there any major reason for this? It seems less than ideal to build a full app if you just want to add or change something small. Wouldn't having to build dozens of apps for everything big, medium or small slow down the suite? Thanks.
  13. One thing I forgot was to update my server’s IP at Sparkpost so that I could resume sending emails from my sites!
  14. Hi, I just transferred a few weeks ago from a CentOS 7 VPS to a new AlmaLinux 8 VPS for the same reasons, with no problems except that CSF is intermittently slow when navigating, apparently they are aware at CSF. You can still use Yum or DNF to upgrade packages. It’s all very familiar to CentOS 7 for the most part. Make sure you have full backups of everything on your server, IPS files snd databases etc and on a different location including WHM/Cpanel backups. Daily Snapshots (if available) don’t get carried over. Turn off your IPS sites if possible to minimise potential loss of posts during transfer. You can’t use the WHM built-in Elevate tool to re-OS if your VPS is provided in a container environment via Virtuzzo like mine was, instead it requires a an actual server transfer of accounts (email, files, databases, filter rules etc) via WHM. It won’t include any extra folders or software like CSF white and blacklists, Grafana, Prometheus, Netdata, Redis etc, so you should prepare and take note of any custom configurations or IP lists so you can restore those services or refer back to them quickly afterwards. Reduce your TTL time to live DNS records before hand to minimise downtime DNS propagation time unless you are with Cloudflare for your domain and DNS. Afterwards, if you are using Cloudflare, you can just update the IP address in any records there like A and CNAME records, SPF/DKIM email records etc. They update within seconds to point to the new server’s IP and hostname plus you can possibly keep the old one available for a day or two in case you find you’ve missed anything, just use the old IP address to access it. You may also need to update credentials at AWS S3 afterwards. I also found AlmaLinux’s RPMs are not up to date with Redis 7 and ImageMagick 7, so you’d need to update those yourself if you want the very latest versions. Good luck!
  15. Okay thank you Marc. I’ll create a banned members group or delete their reputation points or something.
  16. Hi, It's been over 10 years or probably more since I had to ban a member from one of my communities and I can't remember where you configure it in terms of the actions to take. An AdminCP search shows no results apart from the Ban Setting filters (IP, Email etc). I recently banned a member and I see this in their profile when I look at it whilst logged in, but that doesn't show to anyone else: I also see this in the Admin Dashboard: However, I noticed that members are still replying to the banned members' existing content. I realised that for other members, there is nothing to point out that the member is banned, either by their post content or in their profile. Their member group is unchanged (I recall bans became flags some time ago), and all their reputation points and badges and awards are still as they were before they were banned. Where do I change what happens when someone is banned (a member, not a spammer)? Many thanks!
  17. Hi Marc, I’ve just retested and it still the same on Safari iPadOS 16.5. I see there’s a rapid update available so I’ll update and advise if it happens to resolve it. I’ve also got the same results on another site I’ve not yet upgraded that’s using v4.7.11.1. Weird. The button icon moves from the bottom toolbar but doesn’t appear on the top toolbar when you drop it, when I refresh the page it’s back on the bottom toolbar (unused icons) but in a different position. I’ll do some more testing.
  18. In 4.7.12 I’ve just noticed that you can drag and drop to add or remove editor buttons in Themes > Editor > Toolbars but when you refresh the page the toolbar reverts back to how it was. (Only tested via Safari using an iPad). Clearing the cache via Support Tool doesn’t resolve it.
