  1. Privacy policies exist to protect the interests of the site owner and membership as well.  A well thought out and written privacy policy shouldn't cause any "reasonable" person to hesitate in agreeing to it. If a member refuses to accept our privacy policies or any updates to it, we should consult with our communities to determine their take on the matter to determine who is being unreasonable, "us" or the random member refusing to accept our privacy policy.

    the timeframe remains true.

If you are selling your house, you want to get the best possible price. If you place lots of ads in the newspaper and social media and have loads of people show up, you are NOT guaranteed the best price if your house "looks" undervalued.

The CSS Project is akin to advertising and the continued improvement of the suite will go a long way towards upping the site's overall perceived value.  Also known as "curb appeal".

It doesn't do us much good having lots of folks knock on our door if they immediately walk away to check out one of the other bright and shiny houses down the street.

we should really focus that energy on getting gallery, calendar, commerce and incrementally Pages improved first.

Wouldn't it be easier on your staff, third-party developers and customers to improve upon CSS in a phased approach?

Why not break down the CSS Project into sub-projects?

One sub-project you concentrate your attention on commerce.  You develop the "new" features you want to offer for that module while addressing any appropriate CSS changes needed.  You concentrate many IPS developer's and testers eyes on just that section of your overall codebase.

By concentrating "lots" of eyes on "one" module of the suite you will make it easier to identify any underlying performance, security problems or bugs. At the end of such a CSS sub project, you will end up with a much better underlying codebase then trying to tackle the entire suite all at once. Once that CSS sub project is "golden" you move on to the next sub-project

Upon release of the "CSS Project - Sub Project X" the third-party developers, theme designers and your customer base only have to make appropriate changes to "one" section of the IPS suite not the entire suite.

By adopting a more phased approach you will significantly lighten the load and make it much less stressful on your third-party developers, theme designers and your customer base.

  4. Here's an option if you have pages:

You could use the menu app to create a pull-down list of club categories.  Click on the appropriate category and the member would be directed to a Page using the app above that could further classify the various clubs your site offers.

  5. I've toggled the third-party "Improved Clubs Ehancement" app off and on over the past few weeks while extensively testing club functionality.  Sometimes I would see the behavior above and sometimes I wouldn't.

I thought I had disabled the third-party app on all my sites earlier today and it looks like one site (the one that I made the screenshots above) hadn't actually been disabled even though I clicked on it.  Any site where the app is enabled the above behavior presents itself.  The moment I disable the app the above behavior disappears.  I have gone ahead and filed a bug report with the developer.

Go ahead and close out this support request.

  6. The anomalous behavior I'm reporting isn't just on one site but is showing up on sites running 4.6.12.1 and 4.7 Beta 9.

Member 1 & Member 2 are members of the club, whereas Member 3 hasn't as of yet joined.  None of the members are moderators, as such, none should be able to see the member list.

When I select the "Club Moderators" as shown below, the setting isn't being honored.

    Could contain: File, Text, Webpage

There shouldn't be any members listed in the three crossed out boxes.

  7. IPS has some tutorials here:

     https://invisioncommunity.com/4guides/

There are a number of IPS authored blog posts around community engagement as well as numerous forum postings by IPS or customers. If you choose to explore the Members Shop route, there are support forums for each product you can read through and ask questions.

Help will sometimes be offered in the forums for this or that question you may have, but ultimately it will fall upon you to figure out how all of the pieces fit together to serve your needs.  I've simply offered up "some" possibilities that you might explore.

  8. Of course, you could use the built-in Achievements system and implement some very specific reactions for members to gauge the value of each posting. Members achieving various Achievement milestones would be awarded in some fashion by the admin team.  This would be a very manual process for the admins as they would have to keep up with who had reached what milestone and what incentive to award but it wouldn't cost any additional money to implement like the Members Shop would.

  9. It's not the post count that matters but how engaged the membership is with the content posted.  If members drop by and contribute meaningful content, then those individuals should receive some form of positive reinforcement.  You might consider looking at Members Shop and its addons.  You might be able to craft some sort of incentive program to drive meaningful engagement.

Some people like bright and shiny things such as awards or other visual recognition for their contributions and some might be motivated to become more engaged via accruing points that can be redeemed for something of meaningful value.

You might consider working with a couple of sponsors who offer up some kind of product or service that you can dangle as a carrot to your membership.  This is a good way for some companies to reasonably advertise their products.

It's worth using the browsers dev tools to check the console to see if it's an error loading a CSS file when this occurs.

The problem continues to happen and on multiple sites. I will bend over backwards to help troubleshoot where I can but as I don't have an excellent grasp of CSS and no experience with the dev tools, I'm not going to be too helpful without further guidance from someone at your company.
