Email ticket support is not primarily how it works. Its an optional component to the ticket system that without, it can continue to function perfectly fine.

    Agree with OP.
From a developer perspective I fail to see how the support/ticket system is causing enough overhead for the IPS team to warrant it being decommissioned. Just sounds ridiculous considering it's so similar to forum/pages functionality.
"Oh there's already other ticket platforms" is an irrelevant statement. Obviously there's alternatives, but it's inconvenient and integration is not usually fun. The ticket system can be tied to purchases, it makes sense to be part of the same platform.

Wow, what an inconsiderate and tone deaf response to a loyal client that has been with IPS for 20+ years. You realize the category this thread was posted in is called "Feedback", right?

Stripe or PayPal have the most expensive fees for payments. I'm paying to 5% in a lot cases.
Today we have many newest and cheapest alternatives like Revolut, Skrill, Payoneer, Clover, Dharma, Binance.
We need more flexibily and alternatives to charge our payments in IPS.

Why bother paying your developers when your customers will do it for you for free, right?
Same attitude that EA takes with "LiVe SupPorT" aka using paying customers to test their unfinished games for them with no cost.

With the Marketplace EOL and providers switching to or relying on their IPS sites, it's really not the time to also be losing the built-in Support Ticket system. Providers will need it more now than before and all the third-party offerings are not free after trials end, require additional sharing of client data and require integration. The integrated system with Commerce is so convenient and with the planned Commerce improvements even more so.
Please can you consider a stay of execution or perhaps even simplify it to make it less timely for IPS to maintain?
    Thank you.

I don't think it is good idea  do this.
Apple and google never think about  to close apple store and  google play.

Marketplace is not making money or it is making more job . But It can make me go to this site everyday.

I think this pretty much sums it up for me...although some smaller/beginning devs who may not be able to afford their own websites may fall off the map, and some devs may raise the prices of their apps in order to cover the costs of "going independent" with their own online presence.
But maybe this will also help prune some of the apps out there that charge unrealistic renewal fees that aren't warranted by the nature of the app/what it offers....

Really?  I'm no expert but I find the last part of this sentence hard to believe given that there are many gaps in IPB functionality which necessitated the Marketplace community in the first place.

@Lindy I sincerely see other ways for you to do this.
As I said earlier, the marketplace is a great showcase that connects developers to IPS customers without leaving here. Having this removed makes life difficult for your clients in trying to find resources quickly without having to go to thousands of developer websites.
My idea is, remove the paid market and keep a free market so that developers can maintain this showcase, so they start offering two versions of the product. A free one, where the user could get it directly from the IPS website, and the paid (full) version that would be described within the product and the user would be redirected to the developer's store. Where he would have all financial responsibility for the product.
    Example 1

    Example 2

IPS could go another route, which in this case would be to charge a small fee to developers who publish resources with a limited free version. And keep the market for developers who support the community with completely free resources.
Many of these resources are made with good heart and are freely available in the market, such as translations that connect people all over the world, and all of these will be "lost".

Right, so this bodes well for well known and established devs as they have already created a foundational trust model with clients.  For new devs, that's a barrier they'd have to create over time.  Meanwhile, clients either have no way to validate new devs work like IPS previously did to guarantee the safety of the app/plugin.
I think this greatly elevates the risk for clients and subsequently harms the potential for developers to grow the product.  Hobbyist sites will suffer the most as they simply don't have the resources to invest in robust security evaluation.
Perhaps another opportunity for a dev to provide some level of AppSec and InfoSec scanning of applications to lower the risk.

Subscription gifts to other users would be absolutely phenomenal and help communities thrive.
Live streaming platforms are living proof of this. Top financial supporters are currently held back by this!
It totally makes sense that not everything can make it in, but the lack of open ended monetization is truly painful.
Here's the topic I made in the past for reference.

Commerce is in need of some dire improvements considering it is a life-support system for many communities.
Recurring recommendations have been made for years but left unheard. While we understand that Commerce and especially payment method integration requires a lot of development, I think we can all agree on its necessity and the importance of a good customer experience.

H5K reacted to ahc in Display ALL Payment Methods - Change Currency as Needed
I requested a change similar to this nearly 3 years ago, but nothing has happened.  A lot of the currency functions in Commerce make no sense.
On other websites, if someone sets a USD price, but the member has EUR selected, it will still show the USD price and automatically convert to their preferred when they go through checkout.  For some reason Invision can't seem to handle this or even want to, so when my site had multiple currency options, it was a hodge podge of listings with no price and people assuming they couldn't buy it.  The same issue carries over into Downloads.
We had to resort to only allowing one currency which forces members to pay conversion fees through PayPal or their credit/bank company, but we had no other choice.
