  1. Account Deactivation has been tested to be fully compatible with 4.3.x! This upgrade provides a great opportunity to add this additional functionality to your IPS community.

You can learn more about the application here:

Additionally, you can get the application $20 off from now until Friday evening!

Shows 75 to me. I don't see it for 20 bucks.

      Er, that was supposed to be $20 off, not $20. Sorry about that ^^;

For one second, I thought, I would go for 20 one. 50 is out of my pockets. Appreciate quick reply! -  Thank you

  2. Yay dynamic auto-completion support for database properties. Comments and all.

Which IDE is that? Php Storm?

@Tait Pollack_19680 yep! The auto-completion is made possible through the Powertools PHP CLI application:

They removed the ability to have Gifs in the profile cover photo lol If I had my choice I would put my giv one back

  3. With the holidays coming around, I will be lowering the price on some of my legacy applications.

These are applications that have been out for a while, but are still fully functional and 100% supported.

To start, you can now purchase a copy of my Account Deactivation application for only $30!

The previously premium only Sendfile plugin has now been made free, and a guide on its use has been published here:

Awesome. Still not buying it though. Not going though that again. 🙄

  4. I may be odd, but the task most programmers seem to lament I seem to enjoy the most, when I can actually force myself to do it.

Acceptance testing is extremely useful, and it's wonderful feeling when it helps you spot bugs during development that you would have otherwise not known existed.

It's partially a mindset thing, but also extremely useful to be able to know everything still always behaves exactly how you want it to when you make a change down the road, without having to manually test every single feature by hand.

thank you for taking the time to not make us all guinea pigs lol

  5. So I just discovered a pretty cool Windows trick.

When selecting files for upload (in the Windows file selection Window thingy), you can actually paste in URL's and Windows will automatically download and upload the linked file for you (useful for copying links to images and uploading them directly somewhere).

I just tried that for the hell of it not expecting it to work but it actually did.

Yep, that's working but often it takes much longer than doin' it manually. :/

  6. As a friendly correction (since I don't think English is your primary language), when you want to tell someone you'd like to take up a project for them, you generally say you're "interested in it", not "interesting in it". Interesting just describes a specific something. "This is interesting" vs "I'm interested in this", as an example. I hope that makes sense, and I don't mean to insult you or anything, this again is just meant as a friendly...

My bad, I'll do it :)

  7. this again is just meant as a friendly correction since I've seen you do it a lot in the jobs board.*

  8. Advanced Favicons updates for IPS 4.1.x and PHP 7.x compatibility,

  9. There's some idiot posting multiple spam messages in the product feedback forum,

  10. Grammarly is hell with CKEditor >_>.

If you're having a bug with the editor and you have Grammarly installed; disable it. It's probably the cause of your issues.

  11. Account Deactivation and Sendfile are passing all tests for IPS 4.2 ?

  12. Merry Christmas Eve~

  13. Important notice if you are currently using the Advanced Favicons application:

  14. The new attachment links are absolutely lovely.

  15. Starting with IPS 4.4, support for IPS Power Tools will be discontinued.

As many years have passed since this projects conception, the libraries and dependencies the project relies on have become heavily out of date.

So rather than trying to update and modernize an already rather simple application, I will be rewriting a new CLI application for IPS in the future using a newer more modern framework, which will include many more features such as an acceptance testing framework (powered by Codeception) among other things.

If you are interested, you can follow the new projects development here:
    https://dev.taiga.sh/ips/invision-dev-helper

  16. Out of curiosity, could you tell me who it is IPS recently hired?

  17. Some previews of the new CUI interface for the development helpers script for IPS.

Still very early stages of development and porting things over, but future features will also include various debugging and support tools to aid (particularly when you may accidentally do something to completely bork IPS and render the AdminCP support tool inaccessible).

The "build for release" function helps you automatically package up dev files, documentation, screenshots, and everything else in an organized builds folder where everything is ready for direct upload to the marketplace.

The associated plugin hooks into some core methods to ensure that IPS will also exclude testing directories and other common things you don't want in your builds such as screenshot folders, .gitignore files, and so on.

  18. First alpha release of IDH is out. Testing/feedback is welcome!

This is alpha software, so please use with caution.

  19. I will be setting up a public Slack workspace to provide support for current and future IPS projects soon.

Support topics will still be provided for those who prefer them, but if you have a complex issue and need more one-on-one support, the Slack option will be available to you whenever I'm online!

  20. ♫ And we're out of beta. We're releasing on time! ♪

  21. YOU KNOW WHAT'S FUN?

SPENDING 15 MINUTES NOT UNDERSTANDING WHY SOMETHING ISN'T WORKING BEFORE YOU REALIZE IT'S A PLUGIN YOU MADE WEEKS AGO PREVENTING IT FROM WORKING BUT THE PLUGIN IS ACTUALLY DOING EXACTLY WHAT IT'S SUPPOSED TO DO YOU JUST FORGOT IT WAS THERE AND NOW YOU'RE MAD.

This is why you shouldn't work in a dev environment with 50 plugins running at once.

    I need more coffee.

  22. @Lindy / @Charles someone sent this to me (guess why), thought you two might get a laugh out of it as well

  23. 4k HEVC encoding is painful.
