  1. Would you be up to creating a hierarchy for extra fields? If we have a listing with several extra fields, it quickly gets hard to read (and even enter). If there was the possibility of nesting the fields into categories, I think that would help (and avoid me trying to figure out how to integrate Template System).

Was the wrapper template unaltered in the first place? If not, I would suggest checking with unaltered wrappers first of all

From memory I believe it was but not 100% sure. I'll go back, revert it and then check again (of course I'll keep a copy of my fixed version).

Do you have an example we can take a look at on your site?

Not sure what timezone you are in, but if you're like me, in EST, what the hell are we both doing up and working during the holidays? 🤔

Thanks for the offer to help. If you go to any page on Ham Community and scroll down to the bottom, you will see an instance of Advanced Footer. You'll see the code {slidermaker="1"}. Note that the slider does work as you can see in the top third of the homepage (https://hamcommunity.com). Note also that I have tried elsewhere on the site and that I have also tried with Pages blocks. I'll add another one in shortly to show you but in the meantime, you can see the slider maker one. Have attached an image for you to recognize it more easily.

  4. Hi. When the post included "Create own topic" shouldn't the owner - the new member - automatically follow that topic? We find that we - the staff - reply to that topic to welcome the member but the member doesn't know about it because they are not following the post.

Or did I miss a setting?

    Thanks.

  5. I sort of figured it out. I went into the email wrapper template and found the font color. I changed it from 333333 to 222222 and resent. It sent without the background that you see in the image. I really can't figure where that background came from; it now disappeared.

  6. The theme concept is great. Our forum uses it extensively. In past I have suggested that we have ‘per Blog’ themes. It hits me that we also need ‘per Club’ theme capability.

    What type of block?

If Editor then what you see is what you get - you typed in the content that is going to be displayed (same for using the WYSIWYG editor block in the front-end too)

If Manual HTML then you're on the right track to use the key, as it allows template logic (which is what the {advertisement=....} is) in the content.

If Manual PHP then you won't have been able to save the block as {advertisement=....} isn't PHP.

Thanks! Tried but no luck 😞 I really do seem to have some kind of issue showing any template using {}. I've tried, just to see that I wasn't crazy, both with brackets and without; no luck. I'll keep debugging to see what I'm doing wrong. Thanks again for your help and Merry Christmas!!

  8. Hi. Two related problems (I think).

On the front end, trying to create custom club blocks. The HTML editor is non existent and the Editor shows up without the toolbar and without being able to edit it.

On the back end, the Editor shows up fine, but the HTML is like the front end, non-editable.

    See images.

    Thoughts?

    Thanks

  9. It must be me... but...

Have tried inserting two keys into a pages text block, one from an app on the marketplace which comes with the ability to insert a {key}, the other from advertisements and neither seems to be working. I tried putting into a block: {advertisement="thisismyadname"} and all that appears is the text {advertisement="thisismyadname"}, it does not call up the ad which I have configured properly to show in custom places using the key, e.g. "thisismyadname".

Thoughts where I should start looking for my error?

    Thanks

  10. Hi Fosters,

If you can't help, I get it. This is one of those inter-plugin issues (I think). I have Slider Maker. Nice. I'm trying to insert a slider into the footer. I make the slider and insert it as a block into the site. So far so good, it works fine. When I try to insert their code into a custom Advanced Footer block, all I get is the code. I've attached some images.

Any ideas on where my problem lies? Like I said, if you don't know, no problem.

    Thanks.

  11. Hi.

Is there a way to have items appear in the parent category page? Currently, when you go to a parent category, you get:"There's nothing here yet". It would be nice to have the option to show items from the sub-categories. Not mission-critical, but would be a nice addition. Or is it there and I missed it 🤔

Hey! Sorry you're running into this error again, can you set me up with a temporary AdminCP account send me a DM here by chance? I'll happily take a look at and figure out where the error is coming from

    Done. Check your messages. Thanks!!

Did you just recently migrate from ATP to Radical Tags? You may have some NULL / empty tag entries in your database if so.

If you can send me a DM and set me up with ACP access I can take a look and get it resolved for you.

You should also be able to click on prefixes to go to the tag search page without issue, if this is not working I'd try running the support tool first and see if this clears up any issues.

Hi. This was an old issue, not sure how it was solved. It's appearing in my Blogs on the admin side. Note that my theme has been fine for years and that I'm on the most recent IPS (currently 4.7.5). Thoughts?

[[Template core/global/forms/autocomplete is throwing an error. This theme may be out of date. Run the support tool in the AdminCP to restore the default theme.]]

  14. In my case, I use a different theme per app (courtesy of Nathan Explosion's plugin). I would like it that when someone clicks on the header logo they go back to the home page of that app, not the site. But the concept can also apply in forums. Let's say you've set up a forum and multiple sub forums with a different theme, which I have done also. I would like it when someone is deep in that navigation to go back to the top forum within that 'tree' rather than all the way back home.

In my opinion, the Core should actually have the ability to set a different theme per app, thus allowing the admin to change the look and feel of the site, 'per app'. I actually have multiple different forwarded URLs for different apps and the banner logo reflects the forwarding URL, not the site's master name.
