  1. Windows Defender blocks the file from being downloaded, so there's nothing to submit. I've mentioned it only for awareness - I don't plan to do anything more with this.
  2. I downloaded the update using curl, but some Edge users may struggle.
  3. This is happening when downloading a manual update from within the AdminCP. This is Edge reporting it. Windows Defender log:
  4. Literally one reason I wouldn't look at Cloud... Cost. It's far too expensive. I looked at moving to Cloud and worked out my yearly costs would be 400% what they are now, including the license fees for the IPS software. I would love to move to Cloud for the simplicity, but it's far too expensive to be able to justify it.
  5. I realised I never came back to this topic, but this appears to still not be working. Example member IDs: 2578, 2373,2369 (all are at rank "New Person". All ranks are being promoted.
  6. It was not. I just tested it in a single editor window (no refreshing), dragging in two JPGs and two PNGs, neither of which duplicated, followed by a paste using CTRL+V, which did duplicate.
  7. I've confirmed this on my board using Microsoft Edge. I do not use any clipboard managers (this is a gaming PC, so I keep the bloat to a minimum.)
  8. I still can't get this working (4.6.12): It's promoting people in the ranks New Person, Settling In, Getting Comfortable and Feeling At Home. Is there some trick to this that I'm missing?
  9. Further to the above, it's worth noting that for those users who triggered this issue, the site became completely unusable. They were met with errors about the theme being out of date. Clearing the locked task and disabling the spammer check resolved it.
  10. I rebuilt the achievements data, created the new user group and re-enabled the promotion task, in that order. No manual promotions were made. Here is an example: Please ignore the previous promotion on Wednesday. The group was deleted and recreated once I became aware the rebuild was necessary. They are at rank "New Person", which is not enabled in the group promotion rules in this post: I've updated my access information if you'd like to take a look.
  11. No help is needed as I bypassed the error by not checking the spammer status. 12. Can you please check if it's fixed or if I am doing something wrong? In the above image I have filtered by ranks. I do not want anybody in ranks "New Person" to "Feeling At Home" to be included in the group promotion. I rebuilt the achievements data and re-enabled the group promotion:
  13. I did not. If I do, will it spam notifications to users about their achievements?
  14. Was this included in today's release? It still appears to not be working (filtering by rank).
  15. I recently updated the price of a subscription, requiring me to cancel all current PayPal subscriptions so that the new prices could be charged. This has resulted in confusion caused by apparent duplicate active subscriptions or subscriptions that show as being active after the expiry dates. Duplicates and expired showing as active Expired Subscription (PayPal subscription cancelled by me on 9 Jan, expired for the customer on 20 Jan, still showing as active.) Please can a staff member take a look at this?
  16. Is there an ETA for this? I've created group promotions based on the new ranks, but now realise these are not working. Even a quick fix would be appreciated.
  17. That would be a literal dystopian future. I would certainly welcome a regulation of its activities and a reduction of its influence. I'm really not up for giving Facebook more control or influence over my life.
  18. Hello, If I change the price of a renewing subscription, will that price be reflected in the upcoming renewal for members already subscribed to it? Thanks
  19. Why could this not be part of the core software though? That's what these feature suggestions are for. Passwords are a pain, are often not very secure, and even Microsoft is moving towards passwordless entry into its services using biometrics, authenticators or physical security keys. https://techcommunity.microsoft.com/t5/azure-active-directory-identity/introducing-password-removal-for-microsoft-accounts/ba-p/2747280
  20. @Matt @Lindy @Charles @Jordan Miller I would like to acknowledge and thank you for the compromise re 6-month renewal. It's fair to say that I was vocal and extremely critical (and negative) in my reactions to this situation. I'm glad there has been an acknowledgement of the failings and a compromise to ease the impact on smaller communities like mine. While the price increase still respresents a challenge for my site, being on the smaller hobbyist side of the spectrum, the reintroduction of the 6-monthly renewals does at least give us some breathing room to try to accommodate the new prices by reducing the short-term burden on us. I'd like to add my tuppence worth now that things have calmed down. I'd ask, as others have done, that any changes to pricing or service offerings be communicated in a timely fashion in the future to give us time to deal with said changes. I would also suggest that a consultation process with a core user group would be beneficial, for any proposed changes to services. If this was broadly representative of your customer base, and used to test and vet ideas in advance of implementation, issues such as the ones debated in this thread could be identified and solved in advance. We're here and we're vocal, and I personally would be only too happy to form a part of that. I've been an advocate of your team and services for so long, and it was truly upsetting to suddenly find that trust shattered. I believe the community being more engaged would have alleviated much of this situation. Finally, I don't expect IPS to hold its prices, even for a short period, which I've said numerous times in this thread. I'd absolutely support smaller incremental price increases inline with inflation to help maintain development of the product and services. These smaller increases would be far easier to plan for and to absorb. P.S. I apologise for any typos, the spellchecker in Firefox does not seem to recognise this as an editor. 🤔 P.P.S. I am not switching to Chrome. 🤮
  21. 100% agree with this. It's a two-way street. None of my concerns have been addressed and I didn't get a response to most of what I said. I may have well just shouted into the wind for all the good it did me to post my views. "We're sorry" - fine, you're sorry. "We're sorry, we should have given more notice. We'll apply discounts for any renewals within X months to allow you time to plan." - much better, and means a mistake has been owned. As it stands, the only thing keeping me from immediately leaving is the tight integration between two cruical apps - forums and commerce. That's a sad state of affairs, because prior to this I would have been staying because I believed in the product and the team. That belief has been shattered.
