Michael, I am looking for a solution that allows my members to upload a video in MP4 format, and then have it displayed. 

I am running into a problem where the audio is the only thing that gets shown to the viewer, no video is being displayed.  Will your system display the actual videos?  (Of a member uploaded video file, not a youtube link)

So is there a way to internally convert any type file to one that will display properly in a message thread?

Marc, Can you recommend a video plugin that would solve this problem?

I just need to upload a video (In multiple but well regarded formats), and display it on the site in the post it was uploaded to.   I prefer to keep the video source files on my own server (Negating Youtube and the like) as I prefer to have control over my own content. 

Any help would be appreciated. 

Well, tried with 15 videos, albeit, all MP4 shot on a pixel 5, downloaded from Google Photos. 

I am going to try a different video types to see if that has anything to do with it. 

Strange that a wordpress domain on that server has no problems playing the exact same files that are showing up as audio only on my IPBoard install.  

Is it the MP4 Format itself?  Files are created by a Google Pixel 5, no post processing done to them.  They play fine locally and remotely when uploaded to youtube.

I just uploaded a short MP4 file into the test post area, and it presented the same, audio, but no video.  Checking it with chrome / brave / firefox and safari. 

Youtube video embeds work fine.  

Uploaded an MP4 file into a message, on saving it, there is an audio play bar displayed, but no video is shown.  Any fix, or am I doing something fundamentally wrong?

I can setup the widget, it displayed initially,  then I turned on friendly URLs, and changed the page to display it on (To removed the index.php), after that it will not display. 

Hi Onlyme, I am not able to get the featured content slider to display on my main index.   Any hints?

I don't allow guests to post, so I can not say with 100% certainty, but I know I can change the post author *to* any member on my forum, from guest to someone registered ought to work.

This appears to have worked for this problem also.  But it is not finding my placeAd.php file.  

After building the directory structure easypages is looking for, I am not getting my page, I am getting a directory of my webserver.   Any ideas?

I am trying to write out POST data through easy pages, I can connect successfully to the database and insert dummy data by hand.  I get an Error code 2E102/1 when I try to write out the php $_POST data.  The logs tell me the easypages page I created can not find the .php file I am trying to use to write my data.

Is there a special way to call a catch page from a form in easypages?

It appears that EasyPages is looking for my 'placeAd.php' in a specific directory (/pages/classifieds/).

I created that directory structure and gave it the proper rights, and now, instead of loading my easypages page, it gives me a directory listing.

Even as it stands now it is the most useful app I own.   Thanks for coding this -Raw-!

Very low hit on the server, almost negligible.    Much better than the 3.x version (Which had a tremendous number of queries and not written by -RAW-).
