    John 3:16 got a reaction from sobrenome in forum url
    Keep in mind that a sub forum will require a SSL cert or a wildcard cert to cover it.  If you are not using SSL then it's all preference with one big exception.  The sub domain is seen a bit different for SEO, this is from a Moz article.
    5. Subdomains or Sub-folders Since search engines keep different metrics for domains than they do subdomains, it is recommended that webmasters place link-worthy content like blogs in subfolders rather than subdomains. (i.e. www.example.com/blog/ rather than blog.example.com) The notable exceptions to this are language-specific websites. (i.e., en.example.com for the English version of the website). http://moz.com/learn/seo/domain
    Simply something to think on.

    You're being #ridiculous. Hasthagging is great even though it creates #wordsthatcan'tbesearchedproperly, entries where people don't know #whattotag, or #how #to #tag. To me, #hashtagging reminds me of a word that everyone knows, at least in New York.

    In your ISP4 ACP, System Support -> Support -> Select "Something isn't working correctly."
    That sometime will clear the issue but yes it may be with your firewall.

    They are typical ports 80 & 443 outbound but they do have specific subdomain.  Not sure if that applies but best to ask them on that one.

    I had this happen to me, I ran the support tool and it cleared it up.  Have you recently moved your forum to another folder on your domain?

    Is it possible we could get a dev section in the IPS4 Category of the forum.  I would like a place to ask what class to extend and the bits and pieces of plugin development I simply don't get.  There seems to be a need for it, in my eyes anyway.  Not sure if any of the current devs would step up and be able to help, mainly I am sure due to time restraints.

    It's worth noting Nexus doesn't ask you for a shipping address unless you're buying a physical product. It always asks for a billing address though. The billing address is used to calculate the appropriate tax class, provide anti-fraud checks and is required by some gateways.
    If none of these are required though (you don't use location-based tax classes, fraud checks and the gateways you use don't require it) I agree that a setting to take that step away is a good idea. I've thought the same thing myself actually.

    Yup, I have spoken to IPS about this on length, they have not setup Nexus as a membership based app but rather an after thought, whether that is true, I am not 100% sure, I just know what it looks like.  However I vote for this too, allow the toggle to turn it on and off per group, or simply per "product", I use that word loosely because I offer membership, not a physical product.

    In Nexus, it would be good to have an option on packages to "Ask for address" or not for none physical packages.
    We have a subscription package, which we don't need the users address for, a simple add to basket and checkout using Paypal is all that is needed.
    Since we have added merchandise, where we do require an address to ship products, the subscription package now requires an address for users to input despite been marked as none physical.
    This is a deterrent for members who just want a fast, easy and private transaction.

    Ah. Yes. The syntax changed slightly in 4.0 to match the new template tags. Don't know if I actually documented that. Try this: {static_block="block-1"}

    I have read through there, hours in fact, there is some good info there but why should it take me hours of my time and still not understand, and I understand a lot.  Andy I appreciate the docs but the thing is, you are dev, you built IPS or someone else did and they write the docs on their know-how, they speak geek, they don't break it down to make it legible for those of us that don't have an M.I.T degree.  I don't see how things connect together, the docs are cryptic, at least to me.  That is the way it always seems to be and it's insane why it always ends up being so hard to customize, even simple things.  I am not alone in this, I am just willing to say it.  We need better docs, we need a customer service department that knows what the docs don't say or at least translate the docs for the end-user.
