    Awesome plugin!  With the release of 4.6, I'm noticing some issues with badges on the notifications page...

    Could you help by any chance please?

    Thanks!

    I'm aware of this bug, I noticed it after submitting 4.6 compatible version.

    Unfortunately marketplace doesn't support submitting new version while another version already in queue.

    By the way I submitted new version that fixes this bug, hope IPS admin check it ASAP.

    While I do not have a definitive answer for you, I would recommend making a copy of your 2.2.X XenForo database and attempt to migrate it to IPS.  If it succeeds, then you can proceed with your live site.  If it doesn't, maybe someone else has a better solution.

    This is a good solution, just try it on test clone, and post any issues you face here so that we can help you.

    I just installed this – a great plug-in, particularly because the movement on the screen is eye-catching and that's helpful.

    Here is a feature request – I have to say that I think it's a flaw in the implementation – but this is something I have found in other plug-ins as well where you have an opportunity to select which forums or sub- forums data will be taken from.

    Also, I should say that may be for most forums, this is not a problem – but in any forum which is large and which has lots of sub- forums, and this is definitely a problem – and as I've said, this exists with other plug-ins as well.

    When you are dealing with well over 100 sub- forums – and several hierarchies, then form selection can be made a lot easier.

    To start off with, it would be nice to be able to select top level forum and find all the sub- forums beneath it have been automatically selected. This doesn't happen. You can select a top level forum and all of the child sub- forums still have to be individually selected.
    It will be lovely to be able to select a top level forum and then to have the opportunity to deselect the forums or the sub- forums that you don't want to appear.

    Here's an example – and this is only a partial shot of all our sub- forums but I had to go through and manually select them all simply to exclude three areas which I definitely didn't want to appear on the slide

    image.png.71a37100992dde29b52e96dbc8ed91a0.png

    Maybe we have too many sub- forums! But anyway, this was only about half the list.

    If this plug-in – and other plug-ins which permit selection of forums, could bear in mind that some very large websites could do with a way of automatically selecting child sub- forums and also of deselecting forums as well as selecting them.

    Other than that, the plug-in is excellent.

    This should be a core software feature, I'd recommend posting this in feedback section...

    From my side, to over come this problem, I'd add an option that controls forums selection (to select or deselect).

    My IPS install says 1.4.11, and "up to date" even though 1.4.12 is published/available.

    And under IPS 4.5, you can't really force it to update, or download the files to manually update.

    Just modified the file version, waiting MP approval

    We need to type the whole url for it to work.

    Hi,

    Just pressing "Enter" after writing or paste will parse the embed.

    I have a problem with images not wanting to show. Anyway I could get you to take a look at it?927874544_ScreenShot2021-01-18at16_52_01.thumb.png.516c71c3c3975366807b3be06e8721ef.png

    Could you provide this url to check what's wrong?

    Thank you for the update.

    One more question. Its possible to force https on the image if its available?
    For example, in the example i gave you, the embed will use the http version of the image (that's why the issue occurred), but the site also have the https version available.

    The plugin doesn't use the image inside content, but the image provided in the head meta tags... there is no https version in there.

    @A Zayed with IPS 4.5, if the link have and http image (not https), it will show the link above the image.

    Link for you to test: https://www.record.pt/internacional/paises/espanha/detalhe/diego-costa-e-arias-infetados-com-covid-19-e-falham-arranque-dos-trabalhos-do-at-madrid

    Thank you, it's confirmed...

    I posted a new version under approval now, The problem is that the image is blocked in case you enabled the new setting that disables insecure images (non https).

    I integrated my IP.board forum into an SSO system with my site, using a custom remote comment system but I have encountered a problem with the plugin.

    When a user enters a link on the forum, the oembed is successfully created with links to the images correctly but when one views the comment via the site, it has a problem with the image url:

    Example:

    <div class="externalLinkRichEmbed">
    	<div class="ipsRichEmbed" style="max-width: 500px;  border: 1px solid rgba(0,0,0,0.1); ">
    		<div class="ipsRichEmbed_masthead ipsRichEmbed_mastheadBg ipsType_center">
    			<a href="https://--.it/articolo/7572-dirt-rally-20-game-of-the-year-e-disponibile-da-oggi.html" style="background-image: url( 'https://--.it/upload/gallery/1557/dirt-rally-20-1430506358.jpg' ); background-position: center; background-repeat: no-repeat; background-size: cover; height: 120px; display: block;" rel=""><img alt="dirt-rally-20-1430506358.jpg" class="ipsHide" data-src="https://--.it/upload/gallery/1557/dirt-rally-20-1430506358.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png"></a>
    		</div>

    		<div style="padding: 10px;">
    			<h3 class="ipsRichEmbed_itemTitle  ipsTruncate ipsTruncate_line  ipsType_blendLinks">
    				<span><img alt="6554b6be8c0d829a8bf63ae0c82cf121_link.pn" data-src="<___base_url___>/uploads/set_resources_6/6554b6be8c0d829a8bf63ae0c82cf121_link.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png"></span> <a href="https://---.it/" style="text-decoration: none; margin-bottom: 5px;" title="Test" rel="">Test</a>
    			</h3>

    			<div class="ipsType_light">
    				--.IT
    			</div>

    			<hr class="ipsHr"><div class="ipsSpacer_top ipsSpacer_half" data-ipstruncate="" data-ipstruncate-size="3 lines" data-ipstruncate-type="remove" style="overflow-wrap: break-word;">
    				<span>Test</span>
    			</div>
    		</div>
    	</div>
    </div>

    how do I display the correct URL instead of <__base_url__>?

    Also, isn't it possible to bring up the site favicon instead of the link icon?

    error_oembed.png.58c5945222244bceca29be5f72819228.png

    I didn't get the point, please PM me with a live example.

    Already used it! Thanks! Works great.

    My suggestion would be to auto-fill the email address with something like the site’s “Incoming email address” so it doesn’t have to be typed in again over and over again.

    Now updated to auto fill with board incoming mail.

    So what are you saying is that Udemy.com did some FW rule that disables the embedding link from them?

    I moved my site from cloudflare, and I still unable to embed links from them, and there are move websites the unable to do it.

    Again, There's a rule set that blocks your server IP from accessing udemy through cURL, What's hard about that?!

    On 5/12/2020 at 2:50 PM, IceCore said:

    Edit: For some reason it started to work again, I think it's related to the SSL side.

    What's the prerequisite for a proper set up to make it work? FW rules, which ports should be enabled? PHP version, extensions in PHP to enable?

    I don't think so, There's nothing more than: php5+, cURL enabled + the server you're trying to access doesn't block cURL requests from your IP (Or doesn't block it at all like AMAZON that requires you to use their API).

    when an email notification is sent to me, the oembed image ruins the email layout, Is it possible to limit its size as is done in topic?

    Not quite sure what's wrong.

    I'm sorry, I must have highlighted this in the plugin description... The plugin is not supporting AMAZON embed in the mean time.

    It's planned to be embedded in the future.
