I saw exactly the same behavior in another invison community.

I believe the actions you took are not enough, You'll almost get hacked again.

As a temp. action, the webmaster added a rule to the htaccess file to prevent the hacker from writing to the index.php files.

Although we didn't find out the root cause, but this action stopped the hacker from messing around.

I also belive there's back door, maybe from another software installed on the sever.

May I ask you some questions? Do you have WordPress installed on the same website? Do you mind sharing a list of apps or plugins you have for your invision community?

I accidentally discovered that I have 4 new private message replies.

The first sent message without notification was last Friday.

Although I didn't change any notification settings, I didn't receive any notification about them through email or the pop-up window when I log in.

In case PII data request is rejected by admin, the notification email sent to user has the "Download" Button.

Also, the pii_download language string is missing:

You can just disable it.

In this case you have to upgrade manually.

Currently, there is a setting to exclude hostnames, to do the opposite, this will require plugin setting update.

In database settings, Check the template that this database use (Spot Diagnisis).

Check this template: cms_database_spotdiagnisis it calls this method getimagesize, that have NULL as image path.

EpicGames doesn't allow remote requests, always getting httpResponseCode 403 when performing the request.

And it gives different country than what IPS give.
Would you mind if I sent you IP address to test?

For a specific IP address, the built-in GEOLocation service is indicating "UK" as user country. 

However if I used https://www.maxmind.com/en/geoip-demo (I think IPS use this service) or what ever location tool, it shows "Lithuania" as user country.

Both are far away locations.

Is this something wrong with IPS GEOlocation service?
