Good morning, all, I am trying to switch back to IPS from Xenforo. Thanks to @Jim M for fixing my license mess-up. I am running version v2.2.12. I have downloaded they latest files with the latest converters. I have tried to do the conversion about 7 times with no luck. I get to 99.9% then it starts to hang and then I will receive an error message like:
V101/3 Failed to count rows in table 'xf_change_log' - is your table prefix set correctly? I have imported from Xenforo to IPS in the past quite a few times and everything usually goes smoothly. Just wondering if anyone else has converted using v2.2.12?
Also there seems to be a bug in the converter when you go to select the conversion of the emoticons. This happened last year when I tried to convert as well, and still seems to be present in the latest converter. You basically have to disable it to proceed, it will not let you select the matching emoticons to import into. 
Anyways, has the converter been test on Version v2.2.12, does anyone know?

We've just pushed out a patch that should address these issues with appearing to be logged out on first visit.
Please apply it from AdminCP > System > Get Support  - In the 'Invision Community' box, you'll see an optional patch (if applicable to your community).

I am also patched to the latest updated and I am experiencing the same problem. This only started once I applied the patch.

Thats odd I always thought it was parent master code> child inherited parent's code? So, wouldn't that mean since the code changes in the parent it would apply to the child itself? So, if the version number of code were changed in the parent it would get passed down to the child? If not, then what really is the purpose of a child theme? I thought you always wanted to leave the parent theme alone, and then modify the child theme so when you update the parent theme the code gets passed down to the child theme as well? Maybe I am misunderstanding it. Coming from Xenforo this is how it always worked. Does it not work this was with IPS?

It's not separate at all, The apps are the same regardless whether they're self hosted or not.
This warning is most certainly for classic self-hosted and not our platform too, it's telling you that the server you're using is potentially insecure. Not just from your account on the server, but potentially other accounts on the server may be able to use these functions to access your data. It's something that needs securing properly to protect your data.

It's funny I had the opposite thing happen the other day. I was on 8.1 and had to drop down to 8.0 to get it to work. There sure seems to be a lot of 500 Error threads lately, which all seem somewhat related to php. 🤷‍♂️

I have been reading though this thread today. A nice little tool for checking if Cloudflare is working or not is the add-on Dr.Flare. It makes things easy to diagnose.

Glad to hear you were able to get rolling! Weird that PHP 8.1 is causing the issue. Keep an eye for any feedback in your ticket as it looks like it's still under review 🙂 .

I wanted to give a big shout out to @Jim M for all the help. My problem ended up being PHP 8.1 for those of you that may run into trouble. It's customer service like this that sets IPS differently from their competitor. @Matt I think he deserves employee of the month 😁
One question, does IPS officially support 8.1 yet or only 8.0?

I see Cloudflare recently released their own Captcha. Just wondering if IPS is going to implement it as an option in the future? I see their competitor has implemented it in an upcoming release.
