This having to save the website to the homepage as a web app thing, is that what Apple are forcing all websites to do to use safari notifications then?

Hi I have the same problem, did you solve it?
Removed it for a few weeks, went back and tried it again, just worked. No idea why or if I even did anything different tbh.
Sorry this isn't overly helpful!

It's difficult right now given the AdminCP interface for editing colours. We'd need to duplicate that to offer a dark option, then update all the CSS which would be a lot. When we build a new interface, it's something we'll consider.
If it's difficult for the developers, what chance do the clients stand? I made one, can confirm it was a real ball ache.
it's nice to hear it's something you will "consider", would be even better if you would commit to it including a dark mode in the next major revamp.
It is 2023 now, Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, WhatsApp, Discord, YouTube....need I go on, all these you can sneak on in the middle of the night without blinding yourself and waking the Mrs.

@marklcfcĀ does this mean I'm off the hook now? š¬

Cloudflare issue then, not sure where as I have the same cache rules as you. You sure you have nothing set up in the page rules section?
-
Just put it back on @marklcfc if you want to check mine vs yours, on my iPad so not able to look

@Day_Ā at dcfcfans has got it set up like mine as he helped me, so surely something outside of cloudflare is making his dynamic and mine bypass.
At the.minute Iām not actually using Cloudflare caching, I have it set to bypass the domain at Cloudflare. Something somewhere is having a negative impact with Adsense, so experimenting to see what the issue is.

Moderation alerts are great, much needed new feature, however I would like a little bit of control over them if possible.
I want to promote full transparency with members in how we moderate the forum, so I don't want the moderators to have a choice to send an alert or not, nor do I want them to remain anonymous.Ā
I understand some communities are happy with the options, so I'm not asking this to be forced on every community, just given some options within the admin panel to as I say, make the alerts a required option when performing moderator tasks, also removing the anonymous option.
Whilst I have asked the moderators to ensure they do use alerts, I have no way in knowing if they are or not.
To throw an example out there, if I see a hidden post, then it's repeated a few minutes later, I would warn the member for posting content that they knew had been removed.
Say in this instance the moderator forgot or chose not to alert the member, that could be seen as a harsh warning as they were simply not aware, possibly under the impression it didn't post to the forum correctly.Ā

But when a site relies on advertising revenue - every millisecond of delay is a lost cent.
Go on, expand on this please as I'm struggling to work this calculation out.
If you believe that by shaving a millisecond off a page loading will earn me a cent, I would like to offer you full time employment.

Sorry about that, sorted now

Unfortuanetly your site is just sitting on "Checking if the site connection is secure" and not allowing us past that point. Please could you disable this while we are checking the issue.
Ā
Note however, this is not related to "Questions" forums. Its related to the ability to mark items solved, which is separate to that which you show on your screenshot
I've just removed the JS check for North America on Cloudflare so you should be good to go.
Wasn't aware there was a difference, assumed marking as a solution was when a question was asked

Please could you provide me with more information on this? Which topic was this for?

Just had an email notification from my site with several replies to a topic I created.
At the bottom:
Did any of these replies answer your question? There may be more replies than those shown here.Ā
Help others by going to the topic and use the 'Mark as Solutionā button on the post with the best answerĀThe thing is, it wasn't posted as a question, I don't even have permissions set for those kind of topics to mark as a solution.
Something isn't right here. Houston we have a problem.

On mobile devices? it will never happen šĀ This is not possible with automated content management software.Ā Too many things affect it.
IPS is not the worst optimized anyway. JS takes the longest time to load and personally, it overwhelms me the most, but you can't have everything.
Sounds like a proper challenge.
Right up there with the bloke thatās spent 25 years looking for Nessy on Loch Ness, well 31 years now if heās still thereĀ š

Honestly can't get my head around this Pagespeed score obsession, test many of the top sites on the internet and you will find many on par or below a standard IPS forum in this point scoring contest.
Been reading your posts on here for a number of years and I think it's almost a personal challenge for you now rather than something that would benefit your site.Ā
Use your eyes, they will tell you if your site is loading slowly or not, I'm over 10 years deep into my forum with Adsense on and I haven't had one member complain that my forum is slow on mobile, not one based in the UK on a UK server with members using from the US, Russia and Asia. Not one complaint.
I haven't been punished by Google in anyway, still number 1 for search terms related to my site all whilst using custom.css which keeps all my changes in tact on every single upgrade.
My site isn't unique, take MacRumors for example, Pagespeed 31 for mobile yet still the number one Apple related forum. Go figure.
I wish you luck in your hunt for that magical 100, however the changes IPS have made will benefit all customers going forward.Ā

You don't even need to press the X, just press anywhere on the left outside of the menu

Would be nice if they remained bold until clicked, like Facebook does, maybe include the dot as well.

The most frustrating thing for myself with the new search bar is yet again mobile users who account for a large percentage of traffic are still left with no such options.
What would be nice is when tapping the magnifying glass, a search bar drops into view with the same options to search within this forum and topic.
