It would be nice to have some option to delete spam members in bulk. This one by one is pain! More like once user profile is selected as spam, auto delete post and profile after XX days.

I would be interested if page application going to be better for creating basic site front end pages and some navigation options. Non tech folks like me, can't make the best use of Page app and information available on our site. I really have whacky landing page which I would like to make better.

This is great news... u have no idea how much I have asked to Michael about adding subscriptions. It's mess right now for our users... their profiles don't reflect correct count because subscription is through Store and regular donation through Michael donation app as it provides yearly goals. For any donation based community, yearly donation goals are critical. OK we will await but the notes from 3rd party developers that their majority addons wouldn't work got me concerned because their app is what IPS makes good. I am already grumpy and will remain as such because service desk is going away and it's headache for me to integrate 3rd party apps with SSO. I wish you can publish the article with some alternatives and migration steps, so folks like me can follow. Right now it's going to be trial and error. Thanks!

Again this bogus statistics gameplay. Jeez .....u had used same logic for removing support desk/ticket which everyone said, it's working fine. Anything that you want to remove, use the stats card. Without plugins, I wouldn't use IPS because IPS Nexus/Commerce can't even do basic donation tracking which every community needs. We love IPS and many are here since V2,V3 or even before versions... but with V5, it feels you want to go pro-cloud, make it standard for all and remove features which you think are not required without having 2nd thought for what your customer needs. Why you need to push us to XF man..... I am not touching vB for sure.. so only choice XF for me.

I learned from Twitter -> Never believe in this logins.. if user is not interested in spending 2 mins on creating account, then my observation is user is not going to come back often. I also use Google Auth on other sites, where I have no intention to use often. But to contradict my above thoughts, we have more Discord logins because it's just easier for use to sync their details with Brilliant Discord integration app as their is additional benefit besides just login.

Q&A is most useless and waste of time for humans creating account and then handing to spam bot automation. My logic is make it easier for real users and worse for spambots. I don't want to 10 hops for real user in creating account.

hcaptcha is useless, when you have humans creating account and then spambots taking over. Easy way to block spam bots: 1. Restrict spam bot content, as they use same content across all sites. 2. Block their human IP's i.e. datacenter, proxies, etc. However, I wish, IPS would make it easier to delete spam bot account. That one by one account deletion is pain in the butt.

Thanks! Can you please move to feedback section? I wish even relative path was supported. Uploading high MB images through FTP is much faster then gallery UI. Plus it can sync auto i.e. if new images, it can load up on descending order or ascending order based on time stamp.

Is it possible to add support for account de-activation i.e. user can de-activate account and no notification gets sent. If user gets interested again, they can re-activate account.

Yes you can do. See my upgrade experience here: https://invisioncommunity.com/forums/topic/471614-upgrade-from-ipb-34x/ As long as you correct Env set up not an issue. Don't expect any IPS support. IPS 4.x. should be smooth overall but from IPS 3.x - you will have to go from IPS 3.4.x latest version to IPS 4.7.3 and then to latest. IPS doesn't provide older versions even though they will have in their archives. So you will have to rely on someone from here helping you OR use copy available in 'Google search'. I shouldn't say above but if you need to upgrade from IPS 3.4.x their is no easy way... and I don't know how else to say. Good luck.

I hardly get spammers with active IPS subscription - it does good enough job for me. For other boards - i use captcha, ban temp email address and spam bot - ASN's or Subnet if from datacenter or proxy location.

Sorry not following.. I want to make it look like how it's working IPS site and how it used to work in past. i.e. comment on right side. Currently Comment box is taking full width. Update: I found the issue. It seems like when their is no 'featured image' - it does that. It doesn't move the category update when no featured image is available. So for now, if anyone facing the issue, can use other option: Show latest image instead of featured one.

After upgrading to latest version, comments are show on top rather on side. I am seeing same issue on Default theme and all @Ehren theme. Can someone please help. +1. As Makoto said, no issues for me on any of my dedicated servers since 2007. Each upgrade has been smooth and I prefer Debian because I always get security patches quick plus 3rd party repo support is very good, except centmin.

Sorry it doesn't make sense to me and may be because of my rookie experience. Did IPS team confirm that new version is supposed to cause more CPU consumption then previous versions? if not, then something might wrong. I am just curious to understand what's causing higher load for your site.

CentMin equivalent for Debian? Installing this stuff is not an issue.. but setting up correct way in nginx is little bit challenge, as I am not familiar with nginx or php fpm. Something like Apache / php -> Nginx / php fpm - default configuration would be helpful, if any experienced admin can help.
