Search engines look for the Title and Description first, not URL. There are meta tags that are important. As for now all your categories have the same title and no description.
You have to go to System -> Site Promotion -> Search Engine Optimization and then provide for each URL the title and description that includes the car model. Example:

I would not mess with URL structure. The URL is almost unimportant if your page title and description are set properly. 😉 Tip: if you use the category description field in forum, it will be automatically mapped into a meta description tag.

Sure, but even then it’s also connected to IPS’ implementation. I upload an “application icon”, which is fine for this very purpose, but this is also downscaled and suggested as generic image. But that image might not work at all at tiny sizes. At least in this case, it would be necessary to force a dedicated small image. And in fact, that’s what happening for the ACP where you don’t output the full line of images.

In other words: the problem is that the application icon is not just suggested as application icon in the generated code.
If I remove the application icon, I get the desired result for the favicons, but then I do not have an application icon for when the website is saved to the homescreen.

Did you got that resolved eventually?
I am currently investigating this myself. I feel like it’s the browsers which choose to go with the link rel="icon" generated from the application icon rather than the Favicon, even if the latter defined in the code and placed in the root directory.

    1. Member posting is now working with the latest patch 👍
    2. Database records made in clubs do not appear in feeds, not the club feed or the Activity feed. I have seen reactions to records though.
    3. Pages Feed Blocks don’t honor club-level access permissions. On the club level, I turned off access for “Members not in this club” and the records can’t be accessed by non-club-members. But Pages Feed blocks for the database contain these records, despite “honor permission” being activated. The goal here would be to create a “latest news (or whatever the content is) from the clubs I am a member of” block.
    4. Adding a category in a club is missing the Description field
    5. Not making a Pages category in a club public leads to a confusing, generic error message, which doesn’t tell the user to join the club to access the content. I think the error should be clearer, or the Pages category tab should be hidden from the club, as it is done with Forums in clubs. Right now, it’s inconsistent. Forum tabs disappear, Pages tabs lead to an error.

It's clearly going to be a link on the default theme:

Easy to make it more obvious....

guest_post_pbr_blurb = "You can post now and register later."
    guest_post_sign_in = "If you have an account, <a class='ipsType_brandedLink' href='{internal.front.app=core&module=system&controller=login.login}' data-ipsDialog data-ipsDialog-size='medium' data-ipsDialog-title='Sign In Now'>sign in now</a> to post with your account."

Do not use it anymore. The official functionality is exact the same. Unfortunately, you are going to lose the connection between the categories created with “Databases in Clubs 1.1.3” and clubs. I believe, this would require manual SQL to re-connect them. 😞

@Daniel F indeed, my fault. It works only if you do not save.
If you save the article and then start to edit, you will lose all the changes if you do not save them (pressing Save button). So, yes, the editor keeps the new unsaved content. But there is no warning if you're editing. You can add tons of content to the already saved article. Then “accidentally” click somewhere else, all the changes and edits are lost.

Is it intentional that turning on Club categories for a database turns off the possibility to set custom permissions for (existing) database categories? I can still set “Set Custom Permissions” for my existing categories, but once I activate the club functionality for the database, the link to edit the category permissions disappears. I wouldn’t expect the clubs function to change parts of the regular usage of Pages databases.

Use-case example: Let’s say I have an article database with categories where I publish admin news and now I want to allow clubs to post their own club news in this database. I would allow members to post on the database level, but set custom permissions for the existing admin categories outside the clubs so only admins can post there. Doesn’t seem possible at the moment. I can’t access the permissions anymore once I turned on the clubs functionality for the database.

P.S. Also, why do Pages categories in Clubs don’t have the Description field like forums do? Seems reasonable to describe what one is supposed to post and see in those categories and Pages categories normally have that field. I suppose it’s even in the MySQL table by default, but not in the form when creating/editing the Pages category in clubs.

I updated to 4.7.16 and see the same. Members can’t post in a club database category, even though they can post on the database page itself. Admins/club owners can post.

Adding default widgets or alerts to their trial version for:
    - Where to go for help
    - How to buy
    - Getting started guides, etc.
You have a consumer that is incredibly engaged at this point of the sales funnel.

Since the upgrade to 4.7 we have lost the ability to see anonymous users in Recently browsing list. Before upgrade (4.5), we could see them in the list marked with crossed eye like this:

After the upgrade, we cannot see anonymous logged users at all. I am logged in as administrator (anonymous login required). My moderators are logged as anonymous if they like. The most of them like. 😉 Now, I can see myself on the list without crossed eye and non-anonymous users. My moderators cannot see me. I cannot see my moderators.
We have used this feature to see if there is a moderator online in the “critical” topics that are going to escalate.
Has the feature been removed? Or are there any settings that I miss?

Sonya* got a reaction from Meddysong in Feature suggestion: link back from topic to database
If you connect Pages with a forum for comments, the topics will always have a link back to the record. Please consider making the link optional.

There are several issues with this link:
It is not editable: you cannot edit topics created automatically from records. It does not respect the template change: you can edit the template, but the changes are not considered while rebuilding. It does not respect permissions: if a user does not have a view permission for the record, the link is broken. E.g., database only for staff, topics for all. It sometime has ambigious wording, like view full person, view full movie, view full book. I know that I can change the language. But it is difficult to find a global one for all databases. It is not translatable: once saved in the post, it always uses the default language. No control for individual forums with other languages. It is redundant: I can create a field in the database and use Topic format to get a full control over the link. This way I can decide, whether to show or not, wording in individual database, exact position in the topic, formatting. This is also respected while rebuilding. Just a small choice field, yes/not would be sufficient. Or at least add a CSS class in the template so that the link can be suppressed with display:none. 😉
    Thank you!

Sonya* got a reaction from Michael Collins in "List-unsubscribe" in the email header
Users do not always understand the difference. They mark emails as spam because it is easier and faster in comparison to unsubscribe.
Amazon SES allows you to have 10% of bounces before your account is at risk. But it allows only 0.5% of spam complaints before you've got issues with them. The account reputation is not so much about invalid mails, but about valid emails that have marked you as spam.
You can clean your database from invalid emails. But there is no service to clean users who have marked your emails as spam. Unsubscribing with one click could at least lower the complaint rate. 😉
