Sonya* got a reaction from Ibai in Pages - Flexible Columns and multiple pages
You are actually not. Create a new page template (Page Builder), e. g. with following code:
<div> <div class='ipsGrid ipsGrid_collapsePhone'> <div class='ipsGrid_span3'> {template="widgetContainer" group="pages" app="cms" params="'col1', $widgets, 'vertical'"} </div> <div class='ipsGrid_span3'> {template="widgetContainer" group="pages" app="cms" params="'col2', $widgets, 'vertical'"} </div> <div class='ipsGrid_span3'> {template="widgetContainer" group="pages" app="cms" params="'col3', $widgets, 'vertical'"} </div> <div class='ipsGrid_span3'> {template="widgetContainer" group="pages" app="cms" params="'col4', $widgets, 'vertical'"} </div> </div> <div class='ipsGrid ipsGrid_collapsePhone'> <div class='ipsGrid_span6'> {template="widgetContainer" group="pages" app="cms" params="'col5', $widgets, 'vertical'"} </div> <div class='ipsGrid_span6'> {template="widgetContainer" group="pages" app="cms" params="'col6', $widgets, 'vertical'"} </div> </div> </div> This would give you four columns in the first line and two columns in the second line. Change ipsGrid_spanX to whatever you like, and you have a flexible layout. Or play with columns instead of grid.

Correct - but we shouldn't have to build new page templates, and not everyone is up to doing this, so whilst you are correct I am asking for something out of the box and not having to make new templates. I can do this myself, but I am asking on behalf of those who can't 🙂

Actually yes I think that is something we overlooked 😊

Sonya* got a reaction from Jordan Invision in Full integration with WHMCS
I am convinced, IPS does not remove "most used features". They have their stats and see how often apps are used. I have never used Web Hosting & Domain support in IPS, neither I ever had a customer who has used it. I can imagine it is disappointing for you. But if a feature is used by only tiny number of IPS customers, then it is legit to not support it in the future to get free resources for something that is needed by majority.

Custom fields are not integrated in search snippet and activity streams, so that they look beautiful with the record image. For me, I would appreciate if we could apply option to the default record image field 😊

Sonya* reacted to Daniel F in Remove CSRF URL requirement in pages
We have removed the CSRF key in many areas for 4.6 . Not sure about the filters

Sonya* reacted to Morrigan in Remove CSRF URL requirement in pages
CSRF requirement in the URL was removed in the ACP it would be nice if some front end elements could get the same level of treatment. Currently when using filters in Pages it adds the CSRF to the URL still and if you remove it the applied filters do not work.
That's all.

Same here. Over 1500 rating pages (Links Directory and Pages) are not valid any more.

Sonya* got a reaction from Jimi Wikman in Do not display empty fields of type Item in Pages
In Pages: we can add custom fields to the database. If the fields are empty for the record, they are not displayed on the record view page. Except of the field of type Item. It is always shown even if it is empty. I know that we can control display with {if}-clauses. However, it would be more consistent, if this would be default as for other field types and no code is required to suppress it.

Sonya* reacted to Prank in IPS spam service is harmful
Yep, on my site the success rate of identifying and blocking a spammer is dismally low.

Sonya* got a reaction from Zdeněk Tůma in Create BOT account
Create a new group. There are some settings, that are not available for users but for the group. Move the bot to the new group, then exclude the group from leaderboard, reactions, filtering in search, force anonymous login, forbid ignoring and so on. To close profile from everyone try this plugin

I agree.
This is 100% the reason why my users requested reply by email for community interaction and personal messages, which I've raised to the team before. I genuinely believe the activity on my site would explode on an order of magnitude higher if reply by email was introduced.
Is this something that the team can re-consider?

Sonya* got a reaction from Claudia999 in IPB native Points System (IP.Subeconomies? IP.Points?)
It is not worth to try "beating" SM. Forums will never attract the majority of users from social media. Most people there do not create any useful content. They post:
cat Giphys and co. repost content of other users spy others This is not the behavior you wish in one forum, and you would not like to target those users. You can have 100000 Giphys posters or 10 content creators. The latter is what a good forum community need.
I would not say "SM crushing forums", I would say "search engines crushing forums". Many people do not really know there are other possibilities than SM or content sites. If you search for major keywords you would never find forums, but tons of (often useless) content sites that generates articles, steal and rewrite the content from each other and buy tons of links to get search rankings. Forums get long tail keywords. Something that pretty specific and goes into depth. I am sure one get more from search results using schema markup, like Question, Answer, QAPage.
The era of "pure" forums is over. The era of forums with general content is over. But there is a large opportunity for subject-specific communities with rich content, events, reviews, directories, Q&A and so on. All these elements can become a beginning of the conversation, discussion, what forums are.

Sonya* reacted to Paul E. in Spam via Contact Us - Call to Arms!
Are you all certain the spam is coming via the form rather than emailed to the community account?
We have thousands of messages inbound in contact us and the only spam we see is targeted stuff intentionally sent to us by someone trying to market to us.

Sonya* got a reaction from Paul E. in Bug: Deleting Page database does not delete record image
When I delete a Page database via ACP, then the table for the records is just dropped:
/* Delete records */ \IPS\Db::i()->dropTable( 'cms_custom_database_' . $this->id, TRUE ); There is no handling for record images stored in the record_image column. The files are never deleted and are orphaned in /uploads forever.

Hello,
Could you allow developers to put TAGs because it's not very easy to find a specific product for blogs or forums? Or maybe add a multiple choice so that the developer can say that his product is for blogs IP-Downloads,... , that it offers an admin interface...
