  1. Thanks everyone @Miss_B fix worked for me, but everyone's comments were helpful. @Marc Stridgen should i start another conversation about why I did not receive the password reset email? I 'm not sure if this is a system wide problem. My mailing address in the database was correct.
  2. Yeah, I already checked spam @Marc Stridgen @teraßyte I do have database and FTP access but I'm not sure how to do any of the things you've suggested... My cell phone is still logged in, but it will not allow me to reset my password it is forcing me to login to the admin account which I can't do since I don't know the password... and all the saved passwords on my phone are gone too.
  3. My passwords were memorized by my browser. All of my saved passwords were erased for some unknown reason. My forum's is simply not sending the email with the password reset link (I checked my spam folder). The password reset email worked for this forum allowing me to post my request for help. I'm locked out of my forum is there another way for me to reset my own password?
  4. I really hate to disable this feature, but spammers are inundating the site with spammy guests posts and I'm spending too much time deleting unapproved posts I need to prevent Guests (non-registered users) from being able to post -- even it those posts must be approved first I simply can't figure out how to do this. Thanks!
  5. Guest posts often help keep the forum going, but I guess I have to kill that feature... Thanks guys.
  6. Every day I have to delete about 20 spam "guest" posts. This is a new problem and started a couple of months ago. Apparently there is a new vulnerability in the system that makes it easy to automate spam guest posts on Invision forums. These spam post only serve to irritate board administrators, because these guest posts are deleted and never see the light of day. So the motivation for spammer to do this is not clear to me... Black listing IP address have no impact, as the IP addresses used changes daily. Has anyone else seen this problem? What have you done to stop it? Block the IP address of the entire russian federation would help, but that is a brute force solution and would not completely eliminate the problem. I've even see these types of posts on Invision's own community forums Spam account registration currently outnumber normal registrations.
