hey lets quickly do something to blogs so we can show that we still kinda care about it....
I'm sorry but the blog entry page design is still awful and most other popular platforms offer far nicer layouts, far better readability. Heck even this custom IPS.Pages blog is heaps better than the design of blogs. Sure I can make it look far better with custom CSS and it looks like I'll have to.
The fact that IPS chooses Pages to make a blog with over their own blog app, tells you a bit about the state of this product.

These are welcome improvements, thank you. 
Not sure if that is the finished 4.3 style but why is the IPS default text font still so small? It's crying out for easier to read, updated typography like Bootstrap or Wordpress with better use of spacing and larger fonts.

Ok, I get the whole emoji thing....I hate it, but I get it.
<opinion>Ahhhh, emoji...after centuries of developing language, we've finally reverted to pictograms and the modern equivalent of cave drawings to express thoughts.</opinion>
<opinion2>Using emojis in email subject lines makes one look unprofessional and appears, well, dumb.  There.  My hat is now on the political arena.</opinion2>

Until they started adding all these colour and gender versions, I never once associated the emoji with an actual colour/gender representation, but now they've forced an association... does that mean I have to post the same emoji in 5 colours in both genders so that I don't offend some specific person who gets offended over a colour or gender of an emoji.
Anyway, not that's its an IPS problem.
Its the old, lets fight putting people in a box by making more boxes. Works every time... not.
