Disclaimers: None; I purchased this addon to the Members Shop, with my own money. I did not get it for free. The did the developer did not give me any kickbacks or rewards for writing the review.
Recommended: Absolutely. It's a must have in my opinion for those who have the Members Shop's Mod.
Preamble: We've not had a function rich points system since IPS 3.4 (2014/2015), and for me this has been a long awaited addon for the Members Shop modification and has brought it more in line to what we had during the old Ibeconomy days, which overall the modder seems to be going towards. This makes me very happy. Quietly and overtime @TheJackal84 has been adding more and more functionality to the Members Shop's Mod and I'm very excited to see what he comes out with next. Perhaps we'll see stocks/shares based on registrations or community activity, or even scratch cards, or maybe something completely new!
    Review:
I think that this addon is a reasonable price ($15, at the time of writing - with a renewal of $7.50 per 6 months) for what it is, it is a suitable compensation for the author's development and time considering it's no small task. Profile Items allows members on your community to buy (rather pointless) trinkets with their hard earned points, on your site. Furthermore it also allows members to gift other members these items, which could be useful across a wide range of applications of the parent product (Members Shop). My members on my community have been asking for something to spend their points on for a very long time, and this is something that scratches that itch.
Putting in your own items is extremely easy, and painless, you just upload the picture, what the item is called and then insert it as an item in the actual shop. What I like to do is in the profile items section in the ACP is to use the item name as a description or a cheeky bit of text that people can see when they hover over it in the profile with their mouse. Then in the actual store page, put the item name in as the item name so that when people buy it they see it as the store names it, and then when they hover their mouse over it the 'description' shows up.
Considering this has only really just been released, and it's had a few minor bug fixes already it does exactly what it says on the tin and it's a very strong start. I can't wait to see this add-on mature, and to see what additional functionality and options it brings later down the line. Although I'm not saying it does - right now it's absolutely perfect for my needs. But who knows? I am very eager to see where this will go, and as I already stated it's off to a very strong start out of the gate.
I did have an extremely minor issue with this addon at first, but the developer came to my aid, despite the fact that it was extremely minor. It turns out that the problem wasn't with his add-on but something on my site (Usually is, by the way. If something can break, it will break on my site 🤣) but fair play to this guy, he still helped me out when - really - he didn't need to, and fixed the problem very quickly. He had to have Administrator Control Panel access, of which I can hand on heart say: he didn't misuse, or abuse it. So I can safely say that he can be trusted with that kind of access. He went in and did the things he needed to do, and came out. No problems whatsoever there. He also told me what he had done, and helped me with a few additional problems that I had, completely free of charge. Top kudos to him there. That is top notch customer service, right there.
I would give it more stars if I could. 11 out of 10. Would buy from again. 🙂

The reason that this isn't done by default in a vanilla IPS installation escapes me to the point where I am absolutely astounded. Thank you for what should have been a vanilla feature, Mike.
I too am getting quite sick of all the spam coming in through the contact form, and I'm willing to bet that this will curb it.

@SoftwareFactory is a relatively new member here on Invision Power and so I wasn't really expecting this application to be amazing... My how wrong I was. This app is much better than the other solutions out there on the marketplace, and it's beyond amazing!
Considering this is the 1.x release the customisability options is astonishing; and I cannot wait to see what later versions have in store. I found the configuration wizard to be extremely useful, and very well coded, it's not something I had ever seen before as far as I recall so it was pretty refreshing to see. As for the app itself, it seems to function perfectly as far as I can tell and the widgets are pretty cool to add to the forums. I've not encountered any bugs, and it seems this was very well tested.
If you have a Discord server for your site, I highly recommend this application!

It's exactly the plugin I need to keep my site compliant with the UK's Digital Economy Bill. Thank you for this. It makes integrating this with my site a cake walk and it works like a charm. Highly recommended. If you run an adult site, it is quite literally a must have, if you do not want your site getting blocked in the UK or being fined.
It's with a good company (AVSecure) that allows for anonymous verification which is stored in a block chain.

Good System, could use ALOT of work tho. You should be able to instead of just filling out a form, have a bunch of fields the applicant fills out based on what information we want to see the from the applicant.

Disclaimer: I received this application for free when I purchased the Copyright/Branding Removal because I had multiple apps. As far as I am aware I will still have to pay renewal costs, but otherwise I didn't pay for this. I will try and be as objective as otherwise possible, but please bear this in mind.

At the time of writing this there are two FAQ applications up on the marketplace, and both are really good. However this one is better for me, as its quite a bit more modern in that answers will appear when you click on the questions, which is formatted rather nicely - rather than clicking on a line of text that opens up a popup/modal window. This FAQ Application is quite elegant and I rather like how streamlined it is.
I did run into a bit of a breaking bug with version 1.0.5, in that my answers had to be a certain length but the Application Author (@TheJackal84) fixed this very quickly indeed. I have no faults with this developer at all, either. He seems to be quite passionate about his customers and prideful of his work, which is a plus. The Application is in my opinion well worth the money, and doesn't seem to have any problems with IPSFocus Themes (Tested with Shift), and I suspect is theme friendly. You can also have multiple categories that shows up its own pages. This application does everything that is advertised.

    (Version: 1.0.5/1.0.6)
For the downsides, there isn't really any. The /faq/ page is a little bit on the rigid and non customisable side; but you can still do it on the front end and made blocks for it. But I'd like to see more such as an option to change F.A.Q and use a header image, or allow the individual components of the FAQ thing be blocks that we can use on the front end to customise our own pages for it or something. This can be done to some degree already with a bit of determination but it could be easier... Is this a deal breaker for me? Absolutely not.

This application is free at the time of posting this, and it seems to be supported quite well by @Mike John one of the best developers in the marketplace in my opinion. The version of the modification I am reviewing was 2.5.0 for IPS 4.2.x (I used 4.2.1, at the time of this review).
Auto Welcome is quite a critical feature on my forums, as I like to have our resident bot send PMs to new members to welcome them and to show them around; explain what each forum is for and so on, and to make a good first impression on my new members. This application allows me to do that, and make it quite personable by allowing me to use '%member_name%' which allows my bot to address the user by their username. For a free application it's packed with features and I think it's quite well thought out and exceptionally reasonable. Oh and it's free, with great support. The application works perfectly for me and although I don't expect to come across any, I know if I come across any bugs the developer will most likely fix them quite quickly, a rare comodity these days. So I do highly recommend this application if you want to give your members a customised welcome.
Thank you Mike; for being awesome.

Fantastic. Great for complete sadist's like myself. My members are already cowering in fear.
Jokes aside; I appear to have gotten feedback from my members already. Is there any possibility of allowing users to "Not Receive" pokes? I appear to have a small revolt on my hands. I also don't like how I have to register to another site (A site I didn't buy this on) just to get support. I don't believe it's the first time I've brought up this concern. Otherwise it's a great app/mod, and I highly recommend it.
There also seems to be a problem that sometimes the incorrect name is displayed as the person who poked.
