Can you help? Thank you!
  2. I removed the plugin and corrected the red database error. Im still getting the EX0 error and crash, but the log is shorter, sooo progress?   3. Hello, post 4.7.5 upgrade, I'm trying to update some marketplace applications.   5. Still working through a 4.7.2 upgrade sorry for the next few questions 🤣 Post upgrade the text field is collapsed, not just on the board, but in the admin cp as well. Wherever you should be able to type a text body, the field is collapsed and you can't type anything. Persistent issue on all skins. Anyone know a fix for this?

  7. Hello! So, I updated my community last night to the latest 4.7 release and now I can’t login to my community or my admin panel. When I put in my login credentials, I get an error that says it’s not secure submit anyway or go back. If I click submit anyway, it still doesn’t log me in. Just flashes and sets me back on the login page. I do have an SSL cert on my domain and I was able to login to run the update but since it finished I’m unable to login. Any ideas? Thank you!

    Heya, Ive just installed this on my board. I see how to create new badges, but I dont see any options to create categories, or to set permissions for who can award, I also cant see how to actually award them to members. Is 1.2.0 the current version? What am I missing? EDIT: I did try to download the guide pdf from the DL page but the link didnt work.

  12. Just had the same thing happen on my site as well. The kid was put on post moderation, but got angry and decided to take it out on us by spamming the Recent Status Update Hook and trying to stir up the other users; also ended in suspension. It would be nice if there was just a reset feature or something on the hook itself that admins could click to clear it when needed. Being able to reset it from teh profile would be a good step. Glad this is being looked into though. :thumbsup:
  13. I would wager that repeated apologies in threads, and in your status update, and PMs, would start to make things uncomfortable for him. We can all see you regret your hasty actions and harsh words. You should just let it go and move forward. If I were in Charles' place that's what I'd want; I;d also want you to stop airing my private business about the forums! :blink: Don't be so hard on yourself, like Wolf said, it's really unlikely he's taking this as personally as you are. Try to let it go, eh? :thumbsup:

Looks like a pretty low end operation, I'll trust my site to IPB thanks. :rolleyes: If you skim the forums here there are just as many "satisfied" customer comments, looks to me like on that site they've swept their dirt under the carpet to give the illusion of total satisfaction. At least the blokes at IPB are willing to face their complainants head on and try to render assistance anyway, even when some folks have been rather rude about it! Apples and lemons I think, just no comparing them. ;)

  16. Hi There! I was browsing through my new forum tonight, getting familiar with the different settings and I found some disappointment in the rank system on the new board, I thought I would provide you folks with some constructive feedback to help you make improvements! :blush: Now, forgive me if any of this is incorrect, I'm new, but from my exploring and also skimming the forums here for more information, this is my analysis of the current rank system. In the new IP Board the rank system is set up so that there is one "series" of ranks that users progress through as they achieve post count. Each rank can have either an image, or a set number of "pips" (which are cool by the way). However, this system is very limited as it provides only one series of ranks for all users based on post count. On gaming sites, it is very common for our communities to have multiple groups, divisions in our population, and to have only one series of ranks for multiple divisions is incredibly limiting. For example, my general population has ranking that is based on post count with ranks like Layman, Novice, Apprentice, etc. For this purpose, IP Board's current system is fine. But, my staff is in a moderator group and they carry ranks like Candidate, Soldier, Lieutenant, ect. They don't have a single moderator image, they have images varied by rank. Ranks for staff member are granted by merit or training level, not post count. These are special ranks. The current board doesn't appear to have any consideration for this sort of special ranking. From what I can tell, the only way to achieve this is to establish a new moderator group for each rank in my staff and move team members to different groups as they advance. So instead of a solid team with 8 ranks, we are 8 groups with 8 ranks. The other issue with the current rank limitation is that it doesn't allow an admin to establish multiple series of ranks, say one for regular users and a different series of ranks for subscribers. This sort of differentiation between free/paid users acts as an incentive for members to buy subscriptions. In this instance, for paid members I would have to create a chain of 11 groups, one for each rank and set them using the group promotion setting, rather than just have a senior members group with a series of ranks for them. I'm going to have a lot of groups! :lol: A more dynamic ranking system would be a big draw to the major gaming sites and many others I'm sure! Cheers!

I'm sure you guys are all really busy right now, so I'm trying to kid with the delays, hence the picnic comment, I just need an estimate on when so I know what to tell my users and so I know when to stop mucking about so the techs can work! :thumbsup:
  18. It seems like maybe some departments are faster off the mark than others? All of my pre-sales tickets were answered within minutes, even in the middle of the night. It was one of the things that really sold me on IPS! :) My current tickets, though, have been sitting since Friday, I get that they wouldn't be answered over the weekend, but I thought they would have been started this morning. I updated one a couple hours ago requesting an estimate on when the work might be started so I could have answers for my users, but still waiting for an answer to that question too. :( I hope today is not office picnic day at IPS! ;)
