Would it be better to have a Class Thread, similar to Cloud Discussion? I'm asking because certain topics are exclusive to that group and when mixed with Classic, it seems like there's a hierarchy where Cloud is given more attention and Classic is neglected. Even from a business perspective, I understand that coding is faster in Cloud.

Can you tell if there are any plans on making the Courses app available for self-hosted installations? And also the Email Bounce Management for Sendgrid users?

I was curious about this as well, any word from, IPB staff could give feedback?

The dead horse part I didn't know was not keeping up with things. Just saw it after the update. 
 
As the answer was mark for me and I didn't mark it this the answer to my question not the other one someone force on my thread to answer, if somoene would kindly change it to this one. As I have no way of doing so. Thanks @Gary you were very helpfully in giving an answer to my question than a like to better explain things. 

So by design this is force on us and we can't say to no to not sure it to us forever even when we paid for the product? I didn't pay for ads. @Marc Stridgen You like the comment, but could you expand on this concern?
Oh BTW, not the soultion as I didn't mark it and it was force marked. I was more looking for a reply from IPB.

I'm running it in PHP 8 and it working so far that I can tell.

@Jordan Invision It might be nice to alert the entire customer base of these changes instead of putting the marketplace developers in a tough spot having to explain your business decision and deal with the customer angst that's bound to happen in the days ahead.

Gallery has been through many a revisions, some of them good. Then when IPB went back they remade it again and rip out the parts people like. The biggest thing is that for any gallery some type of main image, top of the page has to show pictures within.

But maybe this may good look into as it been a long while and other parts of IPB have been updated maybe Gallery will be on the list for 2021 to be upgrade. But this is feedback so let me try to list some feedback for them to look at to maybe get an sense of how to improve it.
- IPS has there own way of getting date and from the time I had a license I think they do listen but I think that can be improve more so. Maybe open a dedicated forums thread and allow members of the community to post there ideas and suggests for a time limited so other peers can see what is being posted and give feedback to what works for them. Make a simple template for users to follow and allow a mod/member/staff whatever monitor the thread and deleted comments that are not part of the template to keep it only to the suggests / ideas for the gallery. I even will commit to monitor the thread to delete comments in till it get closed.
- Bring the past back and install some of the older version of Gallery to see what members like from the past versions and see if they are worth taking a second look at? There nothing wrong with looking to the past and improve for the further. Whatever Gallery 3, is not what it is today and what it look and run link was totally different. Make a temp install for let say 1 week for users to look and test features out and get a sense of what they like in the past and move the gallery every week to the current install version. Even if doing that is to much with resources or whatever is the problem, why not just do an install and then take screen caps or video of the Gallery(s) and post them to YouTube to do the same thing just in video form.
- At the end of the day IPB has to make something for personal, company and small business. Maybe having more built in layouts this may assist in this front. Maybe Company/Person (C/P) A will want to have a clean simple layout, while C/P B wants to be a little more fun with scrolling images like was in the version of Gallery that I recall cycle through images on the front page. But my point is at least having say minimal three different layout features, simplistic layout, medium layout with more bells, and advance something that can be more used and play with by the users. Yes, I do know much of this can be done by add-ons but let look at the truth there not many out there and the current style is not really cutting the rug. I seen many other galley systems that are more feature rich but yet simple in design and still make it look nice.
I hope some of this help to the IPB staff reading it for feedback and readers of this thread. Was trying to be insightful as I can but yet still give constructive ideas to move forward on. Would even be possible to ask if IPB Staff plan to OR they already looking at Gallery to get redone or improve on? The current one even if some improve is done aka little things, the core of it is not well filling the click box of being really friendly to users.

The Marketplace is a service. While you are of course acquiring third party resources, you are not obtaining them directly from third party authors and it is really no different than other app stores. Your transaction is conducted through IPS and the Marketplace is a remote service. The point here is just to dispel the silly notion that we're in "breach of contract." The EULA makes clear the fact that a renewal is required for all updates, services, etc.
To provide further clarification, an expired license does not shut off the software and you may continue its use in an "as-is" state (at time of expiration), but it does effectively render both the license and status as a customer as inactive. It is no secret that our company is based on the recurring investment model, so while we don't want anyone to feel held hostage to renewals and we try to reasonably accommodate all customers past and present, our decisions and prioritization of goals will ultimately be in the interest of those continuing along side of us, sharing our overall vision.
With all of that said, this topic has been discussed several times and ultimately, the Marketplace was moved to the AdminCP for what I hope are obvious reasons. A significantly improved and smooth experience for the majority of customers who want a point-and-click experience, consistent with most non-classic "forum" platforms. We want to take every reasonable measure possible to ensure that when you click to install something from the Marketplace, it will be a successful and safe experience for you. We've tightened the framework around that to ensure you're notified with seamless updates from authors and anything installed through the Marketplace framework has been reasonably reviewed by us. We made the decision to disallow manual downloads from the Marketplace as it is entirely counterproductive to the goal we set out to achieve in the first place.
I want to stress that you are welcome to contact an author for manual file provisions if you would like and we do not prohibit them from providing it. You may also purchase from some authors directly if you wish. The only caveat for both cases is, you would use the manual (old) framework to install and update these resources manually. A warning will also be generated because these are untested files - similar to Mac and Windows. Beyond that, we're not standing in your way of using the "old school" way - we are just not facilitating it as again, it is counterproductive to our goal of something that resembles more of a proper app store and not just a repository of "files."
I'm sorry for the disappointment to those find the previous method to work better for them. As you know, we try to take on board as much feedback as we can - after all, there's no point to any of this without customers. Nonetheless, while we've heard the feedback loud and clear, we do not intend on reversing course on downloads or policy changes, so at this juncture, I would very respectfully ask that we move on to other, more actionable feedback items.

IPB just came out with 4.4.0 less than a month ago sorry wrong version of what I said early.  I wanted to see if Keyword Tooltips 3.1.5 will be updated to work with the newest release due to some structure changes because of the update IPB did. Current it only supports Compatibility 4.3.

Please, please, please, please re-add the ability to export templates without a database. Lack of premade MP templates for the articles database, including feed block templates, is directly related to Pages requiring we export the entire database, which makes absolutely no sense for the database that is preinstalled, and doesn't actually work for it, and that's not even considering the point that block templates cannot be exported via any means.
Those of us that can code cannot help those that cannot premade in this area with the way it is now. I cannot even do a custom locally with the way it is now, as there is no way to transfer such, which ends up with me working on a live site. Not cool. I was actually waiting for a topic such as this to be made. If somebody with a basic clue and can code like myself is struggling due to this, I can't imagine how painful this is for the layman, and the surprised look from staff was not expected... I put in a feedback topic a while ago begging for this to be restored, and have left it since then, but it is a very real need.

Before I complain, I want to start off with a nice note. Since joining IPB my users have loved the website, commented on how nice it works compared to VB & I have loved your support. When ever I have a bug or problem you guys usually reply pretty fast, sometimes during the night!
But here is where I am confused, angry & very, seriously sad.
I love IPB. I think it is one of the most solid products in the market, I think it is also the most professional both company wise (how you guys release things when it's ready & not before) and also product wise, it's very professional.
For over a year now, I have STRUGGLED to get to grips with pages. I look at the documentation & it's longer than the bible & not very user friendly at all!
For over a year now I have messaged support asking how to do things in pages & they say I have to come to the forums as it requires custom code! For simple things like adding the article image in the listing page!
For over a year now I have Tried pages, given up... Tried again, given up. There is so much potential in pages - I have seen it on professional website (websites with coders & budget!) but people like me CANT use it.
 
Why.... WHY can't IPB make pages easier. Why can't there be a wizard or Pre made templates!
Front page templates... Do you wanna display articles like a blog (photo to the side with description beside), or like a polariod (image with description below), or like a grid. 1 main article & then smaller articles below etc. Joomla asks you things like... Display title, date, time, author. Main article: 0-10, Secondary Articles 0-10. Its so easy!
Listing pages... Do you want to display the first image in the article, do you want to display article rating, do you want to display article sorting bar.
Article pages... Have a page builder, similar to what you do with blocks. Where you can create fields on a preview page & move them around/edit them. Currently if I want an image uploaded in an article and displayed to the right of the content, I have to custom format it, look up HTML guides on Google etc.
 
I just wish IPB could make pages & frontpage more like Joomla. Joomla frontpage is so easy. Then also keep the difficult custom options for people who are more pro & who know what they are doing.
I am so annoyed by the fact I can't easilly create a beautiful looking frontpage & article area, that I am considering going back to another software. Your forum software is so easy to use, but pages is rocket science.
 
Support won't help me, I have seen users here struggle to create things even when working together and helping eachother, and the only other option is to pay someone tons of money... Please consider making pages easier for noobs. PLEASE

It was said a while back (3 to 5 months) from a topic I open and ask about that it may be coming out. Now as of IPB 3.x.x, there was a code list for what every error code meant. @Mark From a clients point of view if you even if the message still it not clear. I would have to go make a post wait for an answer and than address the problem with the error code itself. Which could take a few days are less to get a reply even via ticket as well. With the publish list I can just look it up and if it is a fix I can address myself I correct it. Now knowing what the error code is saying to me. As it was done before and yield better customer issues why not put it back up for IPB 4.0?
