You better wait for someone from IPS to help you.

Glad to hear you got this resolved. 🙂
For future reference to others, there must be only one instance of conf_global.php, which has to be located in the software's main directory (where e.g. init.php, index.php, and error.php are also located).
If constants.php is added, it also must be placed in the same directory.

I've just checked and it seems I have several uploads of the conf_global.php file in various locations, tried again and I'm in 👍

This has now been corrected for you, and you are able to log in. The issue here is that while your site is at root, its using files from a forums folder. There is a copy of files which are residing in the root of your FTP, and those are not actually the files your site is using. So you are editing the wrong files there. Note, you should not need any of the suggested edits above for your site to work correctly, so they have been removed.

All that was needed there was the conf_global.php file to be edited to https correctly. You were editing the wrong one there.

All good. Just a reminder to folks that other plugins can interfere with other plugins easily enough on install - nothing wrong with the plugins, just that you may need to refresh your browser cache, or in this case just dump all the IPS template caches with the support tool to get all the new stuff where in needs to be. Otherwise you can sometimes get old built templates conflicting with what plugins expect to be in place and so on...

There is an option to use image rerize scripts to aspect ratio but I haven't updated my demo site yet. (go to acp featured content -> settings -> On-the-fly Image Resizing URL )
About emoticons, I have a solution to ignore emoticons, I will update in the next version.
Edit: Updated demo site, no stretching images

Yep open ACP > Customization > Languages. Find and change the __app_portal value.
