I've added this as a member group setting now, so all your member groups can have different icons and icon colors, as opposed to just a different pin color.
You say "many bugs". Was it just those two? With bug 2 I assume you mean it still shows in the popup even when disabled? Saving the form a second time after disabling it would have "fixed" that. Fixed this in the next version.

Martin A. got a reaction from Daniel F in Clubs all getting updated with same "Last Activity" date
I see. Probably because the only way to add a tab to clubs was to fake it as a club node. Looks like I can use Club::_tabs() instead now.

Martin A. reacted to Colonel_mortis in Add "not banned" as a filter in the ACP members table
You can filter the table by banned (and validating, admin, etc), but not non-banned. This would be really useful when searching for spammers/bad users that match a certain pattern, where most of them have already been caught but you're looking for the ones that have slipped through the gaps.

Martin A. got a reaction from SeNioR- in New year’s resolution: Make the Marketplace great again
We're a dying race, no one's gonna take our place once we eventually leave and this platform will be without any 3rd party developers to bother them and break their codes. Sounds like the dreams of the IPS management 🙂
How long haven't we begged them to do something about the marketplace?
Everything we say is ignored. The amount of topics lacking a staff answer in this forum is evidence of that.

Martin A. reacted to Adriano Faria in Suggestions
Adding to the topic, a few more suggestions for the marketplace:
File submitters should be able to download their own files bypassing the marketplace ACP requirement. Display the “pending version” message to anyone and not only to file submitter Display the date the pending version was uploaded. Ability to mass change file prices (apply a % to increase/decrease prices to be used in Black Friday, for example). Add a list of pending versions in the My Paid Files page. -
Martin A. reacted to opentype in New year’s resolution: Make the Marketplace great again
I’m not judging in any way, just listing some observations about the developer/Marketplace situation in the recent years.
4.5 tightened the rules drastically. Result: several developers left for good. price increases. Developments needs a self-hosted installation and possibly a demo website. It’s now 850 + 300 annually. Someone starting out as developer really needs some killer products to earn that back and then generate profits. Cloud testing of resources would make it even more expensive (+1,788 annually). Shift/changes to cloud. The lower tiers don’t have the ability to install third-party products. This decreases the reach and makes running independent third-party shops less useful/profitable. Signatures turned off. No possibility for passive advertisement through community posts. Limited compatibility field. Sales can only be created for one version, limiting the income. I have no magical solutions to offer, but are improvements for this something we could put on the table for 2023?
Currently, I am not very optimistic. We only have a handful of active developers left with continued announcements of departures. If it is still working well for some (?), it’s probably because of a large set of files and existing customers with renewals. But I can’t see how new developers would want to get involved in the current situation, replacing the ones who left or even growing the marketplace.
I understand the costs and downsides for IPS. Paying for code reviews, chargeback fees and of course all the support issues with third-party resources. But then again: Looking at the broader field of online software: all the big players strive with and in part because of a flourishing third-party marketplace. So, improvement could easily be a “win-win-win” situation for IPS, developers and IPS customers.
(I would have some suggestions myself but I don’t want to push the topic in a specific direction, so I am leaving it at the problem statement for now.)

Good thing it selects the members based on their last activity status then 🙂
You can also run this query to have it run hourly (Don't do this with a 1000 limit tho!)
UPDATE `core_tasks` SET `frequency` = 'P0Y0M0DT1H0M0S' WHERE `app`='communitymap' AND `key`='locationSync';

The issue with the strong tag will be fixed in the release. I couldn't upload a fix for that until the current version was approved, and asking them to cancel the pending version would delay the fix for the autocomplete even further.
I know permissions are a bit weird for the member markers, but this particular permission is handled in the group setting.
@dhpunkt I've noted down you feature suggestion and I'll see what I can do about it.

It indeed links to Community Map, so I'll follow your advice and ask Invision support to remove/correct this. Thanks !

Ah, I had searched for "member" and "commu" and "map" and didn't see it. For others, the task is called "locationSync". I'll run it a few times now.

Thanks. I've improved this. (isset( $json['results'] instead of in_array).
Wow, this isn't something I've even considered would be an issue. I've removed the return type on all void methods.
Did you click the "Restart sync process" first?
Also be aware that deleting the markers would put them in the deletion queue, if that is enabled. Go to your moderator CP and have a look at the "Deleted Content" page. From there you can permanently delete the markers. The default suite setting is for content to be "soft deleted" for 30 days.

In his profile. Previously this resulted in an immediate change to the marker.
I see that happening now. 100 or so yesterday, 100 or so today. Thanks for the heads up.

My bad. I see now that it's the parameter to return localized results, not the setting where it only returns from selected countries.
A patch will be released soon
Members are imported in a daily task, max 100 per day. You can manually run this from the task manager if you want it to run more often.
I think this is the case for you now, the task isn't scheduled to run until the next day.

I have updated to the new version and was able to generate and install the API key without issues. Map seems to be working now, but I haven't really played with it very much except to verify the map comes up and the pins are displaying in their appropriate locations. 🙂 Now to see if I go over the free 3,000 credits per day!

What's written above is correct. The file is not approved yet, but it shows as "updated" because I removed some old references in the description. If you follow the file you'll get a notification here once it's approved.
As far as I know there is no need to select an API when you create the key. The box below the keys are for you to test the key and generate example code to all the different endpoints. This isn't something you need to look at.
All you need is that key.
