Also Alex made a hook for REP. It said place in master_CSS. That did nothing. I had to place in css_1 to work, so whats the purpose of master_css if it doesn't load the CSS files from there? Or is that for IN_DEV, while css_1 is for non IN_DEV

Its a large group of guys compared to 1.3 (where I joined in) Soon there will be like 5 skinners, 15 coders, 50 in piracy department, 100 live support people. And IPB 5 will dominate the market.

Honestly, strictly opinion. I wouldn't use RC1 live yet. Its far too buggy for a real site. I'd wait for RC2 or even the final.

As I understand it you can only request x amount of things from one website. So when it comes to a forum board when you need to load like 50 things, the browser takes it in turns. If you load anything from a 3rd party site it can do it as the other things are loading while the page is loading.

Just re-generate the hard-coded form names everytime, based on your session. So unless they figure out the pattern to generate they can't auto-populate the register form.

Per keyword? Way toooooooo much work. If you want 50 then 50 is fine. People can learn to type to fit within a max ammount of chars. Otherwise people would just make long long words to evade that filter.

Then you should be able to be like "Allow Member to see banned info" At times I want them to learn so I tell them. Other times its a flat out spammer and don't want too. I could go both ways with this.

I know paypal always had problems in 2.3 for me. I hope thats fixed. EDIT: Let me re-word that. It worked, it just sometimes wouldn't redirect back, or the payment was successfully paid but never showed up paid in ACP.

The board for free? Sorry, but then there instantly would be a "free" support site. Never going to happen, and dumb. 25 bucks every 6 months is hardly anything. Xbox live is more than that, If you have one google ad anywhere on your site that alone will pay for the charges. Its grateful we don't have to pay between major releases unlike EVERY other software (Dreamweaver, Photoshop, hell the whole adobe family) Do you know how many illegal IPB board are out there? I know a very successful one with over 100k members and its illegal. How do I know this? I was a sub-admin there and I notied the differences from a nulled board and legal one. Point being, you pay for support and access to resources (such as mods, articles and tutorials) which illegal board users can't. Its there method instead of encrypting the software with ioncube or something. Then maybe you haven't read, It gives you Member Access on the IPS domain. Um... maybe cause people don't mysteriously gain knowledge of newer upgrades to languages. php5, and the updated javascript and CSS libraries are new. I don't expect any staff to know the language by heart unless they just learned it. For example I know Visual Basic a TON back in the day, now I open up VB.NET Express 2008 and hell control arrays are gone. Things change, people learn them. That summer that no release came is because they were working on IP. Dynamic, IP. Nexus and some other thing I imagine. I pay my 6 month bill not only for updates, but for support and there such great guys :) I pay them to keep them in business. Due to the sucky economy everyone is facing I would encourage everyone to renew their license since they probably need some cash.
