Yes this is something I wanted to suggest a long time ago but forgot about it.

You could use the live meta tag editor to add robot instructions to the pages which you don't want to have indexed.

That said, we made also several improvements in IPS 4.6 to remove the CSRF key from URLs

Yes. But it has many bugs.
An app with branding and all the customizations is technically not feasible, I guess or requires tons of programmers. Right now: no customizations, no monetization, no branding. All IPS communities sit in one app like TapaTalk. To have an own app for your community only, you would have to go through Google and Apple approval process to add it to their stores. You, not IPS. It costs.
Another question: why do you need mobile app? If it is because of push notifications, they are integrated in 4.6 without mobile app. Any other reason, you would like to have mobile app? 🙂

Ok - the answer is no, this plugin will not assist with that because I don't know what it is.
As I said, log a ticket with IPS support. Or post the URL in the other topic you started, not this one.

Here is my suggestion below. Please make something of it. I'm a bit tired of seeing blurry avatars in a number of my members. 😞

After converting our community to 4.5, we received almost unanimous feedback that the moving of these links was a crime against humanity. I'll be posting a free plugin on the Marketplace that restores all that is right in the world.

I second that, having a core feature to send news as notifications to members using various filters much like BULK MAIL does. it would be great if we could send short messages as notifications to members. even having some sort of analytics how many members viewed the notification or click on it would be nice.

Yeah, I know of these plugins, but I'm afraid I don't feel comfortable with letting a 3rd party get involved with such a complex (imho) feature.
I'd feel much better if that was a core feature developed and supported by IPS themselves.

Just wanted to drop a note here that after testing on both our live and test site, it seems groups with a lot of members causes issues.  Data below.
    Moderator Group
    Members: 21
    Error: None
Notification Verification: All moderators received a notification that they had been mentioned in test topic.
    Member Group
    Members: 4591
Error: A redirect to a generic 500 server error occurs after attempting to mention this group.  A page refresh will show that the post/mention was actually created even though you receive this error redirect.  I'm assuming this error shows up due to timing out, but I'm only speculating and could be wrong.  My assumption is based on the website being stuck in some sort of loading/pending stage after hitting the submit button for about 10+ seconds before it finally gives up and errors out.
Notification Verification: No one could verify that a notification was received with proper notification settings applied.  I asked roughly 60 members and also checked random accounts for the notification and couldn't find a record of one.
Secondary Member Group  (Promoted to this group after x amount of content.)
    Members: 871
    Error: None
Notification Verification: Several members verified a notification was received.
Additional Notes: The website hesitates for about 5 or so seconds compared to the moderator test, but the mention is sent without error nonetheless.

Similar test results were received on the test site with the exception of being able to verify the large group issue due to not having that many accounts for the test.  Is this something on my end I'll need to look further into or is the application itself struggling to keep up when the group count hits a certain number?

Custom Notifications is amazing!!! I use Group mention only for my staff to mention other staff teams because I recommend my staff follow staff relevant forums so my users don't need the ability to do that.
I know custom notifications will never be implemented as core, its been said before but I can't recall the post. Its basically seen as intrusive to a users experience.
For me I use it to remind people of stuff.

Just because a forum posting has between 200 and 400 hundred written words doesn’t mean that the posting has any meaningful value to the community or to the billions of Internet users (which is the “real” reason search engines index forums).
People are becoming increasingly indoctrinated to communicate (via social media sites) with the fewest words possible, as such, they are forgetting to write in a manner that encourages thoughtful and meaningful dialog.  Overusing symbols, emoticons, emojis, slang, abbreviations, quotes and embedded pictures and videos all tend to shorten the length and decrease the overall value of a particular conversation.  We aren’t charging our members by the word, so why are they so hesitant in using a few extra words here or there to better express themselves.  A well-expressed posting will invariably get more reads and follow-ups so it seems like it would be in the best interest of everyone if they upped their game when it came to writing.
We all should all strive to encourage our members to post “great” content that will encourage others to post even “greater” follow-up content.  Before you know it, each and every forum posting will exceed your requisite 200 to 400 word minimum without requiring any software intervention.  We should rely less on addressing problems like you noted in your posting via software engineering and look into how we can solve them via social engineering instead.
If a site doesn’t encourage lively and engaging dialogue within their community, maybe it is a good thing that they aren’t readily discoverable via the search engines.

I'm sorry, any time someone opens with this line my eyes have to roll.  Anyone saying they are experts in SEO usually means they have security clearance to Area 51.  So, what color are the Aliens? Do they have tenticles?
Don't get me wrong, I'm not disputing anything you've said. I just find anyone claiming to be an "expert", about something that's quite subjective, to be rather amusing.

SVGs are definitely great for logos and non-complex images, they scale nicely being vector images although they can add a lot of bloat to a page but fortunately they're cachable. Something that came to mind, I'm not sure what if any protection is in place within IPS for non-IPS provided/third party uploaded SVGs. You need to be careful and make sure that they’re sanitized to stop SVG/XML vulnerabilities affecting your site.
There's a good library available here that can help to avoid opening up security holes by allowing uploads of unsanitised files, it's used by some highly rated SVG Wordpress plugins:
    https://github.com/darylldoyle/svg-sanitizer

Just something to be mindful of. 🙂
