the local date setting, if not change the format variables around to m-d-Y and I'll be sure to include this as a setting next version.

You may have some issues with DateTime using hyphens vs slash (British vs American) and localeDate() - I know this is a huge problem when using date()/strtotime() as they will interpret based on the usage of hyphens or slash.

Just to keep in mind :p

This is also been shown to the members when they log on.

This should not be shown to members.

When I click the link to update - it then tells me to download, extract then upload to my server!

You can request support to update it for you, however this is not manually completed for you for various reasons.

The only tips that can be provided are the ones you said yourself, download it, then extract to your server.

There should be illustrated steps to do so if you don't want to wait for support

would you be so kind and explain a little bit more please xD

i got a copy of steam manager Thanks to @VizionDev :p

but that information would be really cool to understand a little bit more

    Thank you so much

Every page on IPS, 99% of the time comes from a template you can modify through "Customizations > Themes".

Anything within {{ and }} is processed as raw PHP

Anything within { } is checked for a short-tag, or is attempted to be echo'd out.

There is documentation on IPS' template system somewhere in the Guides section from the menu above

isnt it easier to just use an image added into the block wysiwyg editor?

The image is generated by javascript, he's using Google Adsense :)

I tried also this solution but nothing changes... it still goes wide

Give me a moment and I'll see what I can come up with

Can you add the advertisement back into the header for a moment please :)

Once I upgrade my version comes out everywhere in the above field the following message:

[[Template core/front/global/utilitiesMenu does not exist. This theme may be out of date. Run the support tool in the AdminCP to restore the default theme.]]

    http://nauka.bg/forum/

What to do to remove it?

If you're feeling confident enough to do it yourself, try the following.

    In the ACP

    Click the "Customization" tab
    Click "Themes"
Click the "</>" icon (it may be in the drop down depending on your resolution)
You will now see the Template Editor, which a single file is opened "globalTemplate"

In this file you will see a reference to utilitiesMenu along the lines of  {template='utilitiesMenu' app='core' group='global'} or very close to it - remove that line.

This is a template that no longer exists, if that's the only error you're seeing - then it sounds like you're in luck because your theme consists of only css modifications :p

If you need help with this don't hesitate to send me a PM :)

    Good luck

It is MY server. NOT shared, NOT IPS.

Ah, I had read it differently before your edit,

Good luck with this, in my experience - it's system resource related.

I have the same issue on MY live server, I don't have the same issue on MY localhost dev server.

You really want to use the ajax progress bar as it is much faster than the full page refresh. The full page refresh only occurs if the client does not have JS enabled, or there is a JS error on the page.

:p @HeadStand had said that haha

. It's doing a full page refresh instead of that nice progress bar thing that happens when you install an app or a plugin. How do I make it behave like that?

    :)

Edit: *derp*  you said why it happens. <3 *removes asshat*

I know an update exists and yes I will install it but when we are on our biggest night of the year (game launch night) I'm not taken the forum offline to install and update.

Why does it not have a dismiss option and then reappear after a set time?

It only appears for yourself and other administrators, not for the users. Just ignore it until you find a suitable time to do it that won't cause any negative affect on your community.

Overall downtime is generally less than 5 minutes anyway.

It comes down to this - if you want your forum secure, and safe from the latest security exploits and very real and extreme risks that pose against your community. Hit the update button, it's there to save your community not to annoy you.

Realistically the X should have a confirm popup "Ignoring this update voids any warranty or compensation that may otherwise of been considered if you updated" to reiterate the importance of a security update

Clearing cache doesn't work.   We were upgraded on the 30th to 4.1 and then today to 4.1.3.2

It has to do with the theme. Go to default and it works.

Was it working before 4.1.3.2 ? If not it probably needed to be updated for it.

Contact your theme developer for an update

After upgrading an active forum we've received numerous complaints about the lack of a "star" * to indicate / confirm for them that they are actually logged in anonymously when they see their name in the recently browsing box etc.

I also think this should be added back, as members now feel constantly unsure whether other see they read the page or not.

Do you mean that only administrators can see the star?

Otherwise would defeat the purpose of "Anonymous"

    Woops. I understand now

This is not true. Please do not spread false information. No files can be deployed on your server without your knowledge.

I'm aware, if there wasn't an edit lockout it'd be adjusted. Sometimes it would be good to be a lot clearer in details because I was not the only one who had the same thought, just the only one who said something - my apologies.
