  1. I loathe nagios, if only because I get around 15,000 alerts from it because the person who designed it originally for use on Frontbridge/Bigfish screwed up massively haha
  2. Ultimately what your asking is rather difficult, because it has to factor in *a lot* and have the logic to manage how it interfaces with member profiling
  3. If your host is telling you that they *will not* increase it to the minimum standards set by PHP Foundation, than I suggest getting a new host.. Since if they are that memory constrained on a shared box, they're over selling
  4. Please read, This is NOT A support topic, if you require Support for Sphinx Configuration with IPB Use Peer Support or Open a ticket...
  5. Meaning it may or may not work, but if it does not you will not get support. The other features your talking about you will need to update to 3.1x
  6. I actually got fed up with some of my users in area's that only have dial up complaining about getting PM's but never reading them.. I cheated, made a skin that uses CSS from Lo-Fi but Templating from The IPS Default skin.. not perfect in the sense of rendering (I'll eventually clean it up so it moves stuff around In the message view I'm trying to get it to "wrap" so it looks more like the standard messenger.. but I'm tired
  7. Seems to be active on his purchase site :P http://forums.invisionize.com/SN-PM-Viewer-130-t143181.html
  8. Consider the demands (resource wise) for even a small DNSBL. These would pretty much equal if not be lower than that of a hand full of users utilizing the IP Board Spam Registration protection. It's dooable, but would require sacrifices or offloading it to customer servers.. I'd be more than happy to allow Inivison to run a script on my server to act as a p2p but than again, that would also create problems due to malicious site owners ;) In regards to the ban thing, Hide banned members from the public user lists.. Problem solved
  9. Funny how the graph on that site loaded before the actual site's frames did... 16 queries, 0.05274 sec ... Faster than my site
  10. The link at the top of the forums works fine ;)
  11. I think it would be hard to say it wouldn't slow down the performance of the site with out knowing the board its implemented on.. Doing so in the fashion that you suggested (the way facebook uses it) for a large board would create a pretty big headache for a single server to handle Hiding the bar doesn't always stop it from being active it just usually would suppress the notfications
  12. I normally Ban by IP and Account.. Can help a bit as most people have no idea how to use proxies..
  13. So, I dropped an installation of 3.0 RC1 onto a sub domain on my hosting account, and now tell me that index.php is chewing up far to much CPU time and Utilization. My thoughts are that it's probably something with how they're dealing with IonCube or a configuration problem with PHP (Safe Mode is Off) below is what the host sent me... Any suggestions as to the root cause as this was occuring with 2 concurrent connections... 14. One thing that I often run is the Remove Orphaned attachment/Images (This usually kills 100MB/month on my site) as far as image resizing not overly sure of one off the top of my head =()
