RevengeFNF got a reaction from SJ77 in Setting up a secure Nginx+PHP-FPM installation for IPS4
@Makoto excellent tutorial, i give you my congratulations
Just a quick note that i think you could add to this tutorial. If someone install's Centos 7 and then follows this tutorial, they will be installing PHP 5.4 which is currently EOL, and therefore no more security updates. Because this tut is all about security, i think the minimum version should be php 5.5.
So, you could add the instructions for installing Epel and Remi repo(its stays disabled by default), for example, and then the Yum command would be instead: yum --enablerepo=remi,remi-php56 php-fpm php-cli php-mysqlnd php-pdo php-gd php-mbstring php-xml.
If someone wants to try php 7.0, just change to remi-php70.
With the Remi repo we can also install php-pecl-imagick instead of using the pecl install.

@A Zayed i know this is a long shot, but doesn't hurt to ask.
In the past i used an addon called Media Tag, where we could create custom oembed links. In the mean time this addon was removed from the marketplace because it was not updated since ips 4.1, although it was partially still working.
When i first installed your rich links addon, although your addon ignores the default oembed links by ips, it would cause the custom oembed links from the other addon to stop working, because it would show them as a rich link instead of the oembed. So i just disabled that media tag addon.
Now i found another addon that is up to date, (NE) oembedServices management  by @Nathan Explosion, but im afraid to buy it and the same thing will happen.
What I'm asking is if you know why this happens and if there is anything that can be done to fix it.
    Thanks.

    What's New in Version 1.4.2
    Released Just now
Bug fix: prevent images with custom urls from being posted if the user don't have the authority to post HTML. Option added: Control height of the posted image (in pixels). Option added: Setting to truncate URL title or display the complete url.

Will Invision Community 4.4 include CKEditor 5? If not, then I would like the font size button and text alignment button to be like in CKEditor 5.
    1. Font size:

This button looks better on the toolbar. The list of options is simple, concise and convenient. In addition, it will not allow users to make the font size too small or too large.
    2. Text alignment:

This button takes up less space on the toolbar, and it is more convenient to use it in the editor on a smartphone, for example.

Ok, i understand now, thank you
Now just a suggestion if someday you want to think about it. It would be good if there was an option to choose the image height. For example, in some links, it will cut a person face in half because there is no enough height to display it.
I posted a link of Theresa May about the Brexit, and the image was basically only her mouth ehehe
Regardless of that, im very happy with your app. Nice job.

My point is, will we ignore many Android users just because iOS don't support mobile notifications?

It depends. On my case for example, Google Analytics shows me that for the mobile users, 26,51% enter with an iOS device and the rest with Android. So the vast majority in my case are Android users.
I also reached the point where my forum have more people visiting it with a mobile phone than a computer.

I read this whole thread but I don’t see any indication that IPS or 3rd party have decided to start working on this despite overwhelming demand. Hopefully that changes soon.

Lindy, you know i understand about servers and im not expecting to have my server down, and if its down, i will put it up right away.
What im telling is that we are not online 24 hours a day. If elasticsearch fails, ips could fallback to mysql. It doesn't need to rebuild the whole index. IPS supports rebuilding only the last few days, that will take few space and its fast.
Like i said, just a suggestion and im not expecting my server to fail. ?

That is from Online correct? Personally, i don't like their services, and i believe there is a reason for them to be so cheap(even cheaper than OVH).

I have asked some people that use other forum software about their index, and here are two examples:

So, this must be something with Invision, because in other sites using other bulletin software, its rising and not declining.

We were able to work on the app from the past week.  Here's a small update on the application:
    Custom Notifications
[Bug] REST API Description [Bug] Allowed memory size [Bug] No 'Sent on date' on overview page [Bug] ACP Table not responsive [New] Show total number of receives [Enhancement] Disallow sending of notification if in queue [New] Create log of when notices are sent We don't have a release date at this time and will most likely not release until 4.3 Beta, but please follow the file to be updated.
